@Mahuloq Errr, well I learned by instincts. I figured everything out on my own. It's just get 4 sets ( ex: 1,2,3 or 111 ) and one pair ( ex 1,1 ) unless it's 13 Orphans which is #'s 1,9 of ea.dora, bamboo, number, all winds, and one of ea. dragon.

I actually absolutely hate Saki.. After watching Akagi, I get pissed of by the atmosphere and the style of Saki.. In Saki you don't really understand what they do, and you just understand that Mahjong is just something with hand values and Saki can do the biggest hands!.. Which is damn wrong..

@msolec2000 It's not so much they don't stack, rather it's just impossible to have both. Haitei has to be the last tile drawn from the wall, and Houtei (same thing but on a ron) must be the last discard of the round. Rinshan can never be either, since it's drawn from the dead wall, and (obviously) isn't a discard either.

@zhouwei987 Dabunan and dabuton means a stacked wind pair, i.e. the pair in the hand is made up of the wind that's both your own and the prevailing wind. With some rules such a pair is worth 2 fu, and wih some rules such a pair is worth 4 fu. The prefectural tournament in Saki uses the 4 fu-version, since that version is the only way to get a 1 han 110 fu-hand, which Saki gets in the final round of the team tournament.

Riichi can be a tactical strategy in which it can scare your opponents into dropping tiles that you require, provided you've given a good motivation to do so. Otherwise, in casual play it also serves as a way of getting han, a type of score marker of which at least one is required to win a hand, and the riichi is the easiest way of doing so. The 1000 points isn't a particularily important number since many hands score well above this amount, and it's usually a good trade

1:Intense Mahjong combat

2: yuri and ALMOST shoujo-ai. This is my opinion, so yeah.

3: Tacos

4: Breasts that actually have a purpose other than fanservice. In this case, they hinder Nodoka's gameplay.

5: The Koromo: an adorably badass villain.

6: Lovable cast of main and side-characters.

7: A rulebook that's useful to somehow get me started on the game. It's hardly enough, but it's a start.
