  • HEY, most of the world AIN't deaf... So how about some for us that CAN hear huh??? What??? Is it a closed secret society or something??? We help you, help us okay???

  • This girl looks familiar I met her at Deaf Culture Centre. She is from Denmark. She worked in there temporarily, a former student of Gallaudet University and she is so hot. I didn't pay attention to what she explained about Deaf history. You know what I am talking about LMAO :D

  • for me- i LOVE the deaf culture, i am 100% hearing, but i find ASL very interesting. Hahaha! i actually find it BETTER then speaking English. I have been self-taught ASL for over 2 years now & i would LOVE to connect with more deaf people if at all possible.

  • @sweetiepie2356 Agreed! That's how I feel!

  • she is hot damn

  • I can't wait to visit next time I am in Toronto!

  • i think shes great

    pretty girl nice smile

sorry if we stare to me yall are cool

    when people dace people stare

its like your dancing with your fingers

  • I was thinking I would hear something like the background noise but then I remembered that Deaf people wouldn't hear that anyway. If only I knew what she was saying. I mean Sign-Language...ing.

  • mmmmmmm init just :/

    och well

i wonder if i'd be the felmale version of lee evans if i WASN'T actually deaf ahahahahaha

  • it's shit actually signing because in public you get jeered at and people look at you liike your a complete twat. i'm 16 and in scottland i used to sign but not anymore, caused me too much flipping hassle. but theres nothing wrong with my speech thank god, so half of my mates just forget that i'm deaf. it#s not cool to be deaf just like anything else. it's not cool to have cancer, not cool to lose a leg. see my point.? look at my profile. do i look deaf? i think not. still. wish i was hearing.

  • Yeah, yeah. I think I get what you mean. It's annoying when they stare in awe or jealously. It's hard to tell if a person is deaf from looks, but I suppose you're right...

It is not cool, though. Some view it as a curse, while others think it as a blessing. Tch...

  • well im hearing, and im diabetic, but i dont feel pity for myself..

i mean i did, when i was like 10-14, but now i dont, im actually kinda proud of it cause it forces me to diet and exercise properly.

point is, if u pity urself for something you cant control, life would be pretty shitty.

instead, take what you have and learn to love it. it might sound cliche, but its true.

oh yea and the grass is always greener on the other side... right?...

  • Where can i learn ASL??.. I live in miami..somebody know?

  • u can go to deaf church where i know a lot of deaf ppl go to

  • or college ASL class if u like.

  • mariapyhugom you can learn ASL at different colleges. Community colleges or at 4 year or at state colleges.

  • vanbattum I can relate to you completely! I get "joked" with all the time about being HH. I'm so sick of it. My boss makes fun of me, laughs at me all the time, as to other co-workers. I'm so sick of people thinking it's okay to tease someone that is deaf or hard of hearing.

Great video. I'm learning ASL and my daughter wants to be an interpretor. So, this will be my language and I value it.

  • I am so proud of you!

  • I have a little step sister who is Deaf and so I'm taking ASL classes to try and better comunicate with her.

  • daily discrimination & harassment has left my feelings for life in general in the pits. It is horrible. I became deaf in 1968....regained some hearing in one ear later, then lost my hearing againin 1984. The abuse I get from family & general public ic sickening. My career and 1st marriage were distroyed via my inability to participate fully in the "hearing world".

  • i can hear but my bestfriend since i was 2(we're 15 now)is completly deaf. i learned how to sign from her mother when i was little. i think this is such a great thing we live in ny and i wish we could visit more.

  • Well good job. Hope you earn more money.

Yes i can draw. My name is Mr. Andrew.

  • Ah Hilde is so hottest girl :P

  • I am from Buffalo. I would love to meet more new deaf friends in Toronto. I go to Toronto often. :) Send me a message please. Thanks! :) ROCK ON!

  • I'm so proud to this this video on YouTube. (Canada and Deaf culture are two of my favourite things!)

The DCC is wonderful. If I lived closer to Toronto I would visit more often.

    Cheers!

  • Hello, Hilde. Thank you for sharing with me about the deaf culture centre. You did a great job though because it was the first time I had ever seen you introducing yourself and the deaf culture with me or others. Just ignore those who do not understand what you said from the beginning. Therefore, you should be proud of yourself for being completely deaf. =)

  • i dont..understand!!!!

  • Ohh I see.. Me watch on vidoe asl. U stand asl on vidoe pretty cool.

  • I'm Deaf! my nieces (hearing) like same ages.

  • I'm Deaf! my nieces (hearing) like same ages.

  • are you deaf?

  • Hilde, your signing was beautiful, but forgive my ignorance. What did you say?

  • Great Hilde.
