It's also been rather common that individual Icelanders in schools overseas have had to answer for our government's errors and for the unfortunate situation in general, I've heard that even their teachers are making them answer questions about this. How could that person give any real answer?

I think it was the Icelandic official David Oddson who gave Alastair Darling a clear indication they would on the one hand pull the money from its UK subsidiaries back to Iceland whilst at the same time not guaranteeing British deposits. that's not right anymore than using terrorist legislation (which also isn't right) and the UK is lending money to Iceland but because it's got troubles of its own can't do much

Our officials can be rather clumsy when they speak english I admit. But even so, David has been acting selfishly and declaring things like that on his own and he should resign.

But that thing or "conversation" between Darling and Oddon's old news and has long since been declined by, not everyone I admit, almost every senate/parliament member and our own PM (you know, the guy who actually calls the shots). Almost no Icelander agreed or agrees with what Oddson told Darling...
I hope this thing will blow over as soon and smoothly as possbile and I would like for us being able to rely on our NATO allies in the future..I support our stay in NATO.

Actually most loans that are making familys bankrupt are German banks, I remember a commercial pretty well, by a company called Allianz. it had the IceKróna which was shaking and an Euro which was still, and below it stood Unstable and Stable.. After all the damage has been done he has been very soft spoken when he realized the legal claims he has now mounted on the British people, but this has reached a point of no return and I hope the British conservative party will pick this up and destroy him his image, legacy and future in UK politics.

Then Gordon Brown uses anti-terrorist law against it´s own neighbour-friend and ally nation to seize assets of our biggest company, Kaupthing. Kaupthing had just secured major currency loans from the Icelandic and Swedish central banks the day before and were balancing, then Brown uses without any reason at all these terrorist laws to seize their assets in London, bringing the bank down. Then destroying reputation of Icelandic companies with comments with his comments in the media.

It´s pretty obvious when you look at Mr. Soros being able to bring the Bank of England on it´s knees only some 20 years ago, then other hedge fund criminals making attacks especially on small currencies ever since that the Icelandic krona was a perfect target.
The only thing stopping the Iceland nation now from giving Russians military base in Iceland and all the help they need to get more control in the arctic is our friends in Norway and Denmark who also have claims to the territories.

Icelandic banks were brought down by Hedge Fund criminals from USA, most notably Bear Sterns. Current Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman describes this in some details New York Times blog. Icelandic financial authorities began investigate concentrated attacks on the Icelandic krona by international hedge funds some 3-4 months ago. Then 2 months later all our friends in NATO refused to make currency swap agreements with the Icelandic central bank despite our government being debt free.

And this is not the first time Russia and Iceland have teamed up when Britain is talking shit.
In the cod wars, where Iceland spanked the British, NATO had put some trade ban on USSR. Britain opposed trade ban on us, so we opened up trade with USSR. When Icelanders won that dispute against UK, business stayed good between Russia and Iceland. For some years afterwards I think we were the only NATO country doing business with Russia.

Lol, african countries.
Iceland is the most developed country in the world, almost debt free government, one of the highest education, one of the best health care and social system, literacy, length of life, fewer deaths at birth and so on is all excellent by every standard.
Russia is guaranteed by the fact that Iceland has never failed to pay a loan and never will.
People are talking about as a bankrupt nation, lol, we have unemployment of 1,5%. =)
