Yes, the first OFFICIAL Flag of the USA was the Grand Union Flag (aka the Congress Colours, Washington's Colours, the Continental Colours, the Cambridge Flag). Gen. Washington named our first flag "Grand Union" to symbolize our unity as British Americans, and it remained his favourite flag. Congress authorised it's use in October 1775. It flew throughout the Revolution and was never rescinded, being "grandfathered" out after the Stars & Stripes were approved July 14, 1777. Our First Flag.
