definittely not. There are so many great songs... I would say that A Hundred Million Suns is one of the greatest albums in 2008. Something different. Something that makes me feel the happines and not only sexy videos, explicit lyrics and so on. That´s the reason why are Snow Patrol in the age of sex and alcohol a glass of great cool water. :) Love all their songs.

I concur with you that snow patrol, generally speaking, are a good band for the reasons u listed above.

But the hundred million suns album was a negative aboration. All the singles (apart from this one) lacked vitality.

'Take back the city 'had annoying changes of key.

I'f there is a rocket tie me to it' lacked cohesiveness.

'Crack the Shutters' felt like the emotion was fabricated.

the 15 minute song at the end was just plain boring.

Snow Patrol isn't a great, they are VERY great. They are unique. I don't know any other band who can make music like this. I've listened every song of Snow Patrol for 2 years now and i still love them. My favorites are: Fifteen Minutes Old, Run, When it's all over we still have to clear up and The Lightning Strike.

I admit, I don't have statistics to back up my claims but I'm 99% sure Cape Town is not as bad as Johannesburg for example and I remember hearing somewhere that Jo'burg isn't the worst in world either. Not that I'm particularly bothered anyway. I've never felt unsafe in Cape Town and having been in Korea for a few months I can honestly say there is no other place in the world I'd rather live.

OK buddy, If you live there, and love it, I must be wrong; the documentary showed 2 areas of Cape Town. The area where the tourists stay, and the other was just full of ghettos/slums. As far as I could make out, The occupants of the slums were mugging the tourists. Your police looked like they were the busiest in the western world. My sister lived in Durban back in the 70s/80s and said she loved it, but the documentary put me off from going to SA. All the best. London England.
