it's true, i almost have a heart attack too.

i think you already discovered, tips are such a surprise to those drivers. they just want to get you quick to place so they can get the next customer. Starting price in Changchun is one of the lowest in the country.

This was Shanghai or Shenzhen. The driving in the smaller cities is way more anarchic. The direction of traffic is arbitrary in towns like Chaozhou. The cars, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians were all coming from different directions and I saw many accidents, but few injuries. The only saving grace was that they didn't go over 35 miles per hour.
