  • THANK YOU BOB

  • Love it, man!

    Is that a T-60?

    Great Job!!

    Larry

  • Larry, Thanks so much.

Yes it is a T-60 which I bought maybe about 25

years ago. It is very playable and has a wide range of Tone. Peavey put a lot of thought into this guitar. If I remember right, he was targeting the Fender business. The same with his Amps too. The Guitar has some Tele, Strat and Les Paul tone. I play most any Venue with this Axe.

Thanks again and keep the Fine and Quality Sound coming from your Channel too.

    -B. Bob

  • Yvonne and Bob.. thanks so much. I am just learning how to make the Video and Taping.

    -B. Bob

  • Nice pickin' there! When can we hear a little steel playin'?

  • Hey Fred -

Gonna have to ask the Crickets permission on the Steel and see what they say !

Workin on a Bluesy Tune now.

Maybe an oldie Country song with Steel just after that - sounds good to me. Its a whole lot easier playin the Steel than a bunch of Frets.

    Thanks for the nice comments.

    -Basement Bob

  • Ivmar... I just wish they made a Big Jazz Box with a Maple neck...

That would be Contrary BUT just the ticket for me. I enjoy the Maple Neck. Of course, an Ebony isnt too bad either.

Someone needs to make a Hot Rod Jazz Guitar that is sweet and mellow.

    -B. Bob

  • so cool, sounds like i know a little by Skynyrd.. :)

  • Pop,

Thanks so much. I've seen you pickin and a grinning out on the porch. Keep up the good work and I will keep a watch on your Channel for music done right.

    -B. Bob

  • hey bob what is ur setup for recordig tracks if i may ask?

  • Hey Pop,

Well, I have a radio shack [shure] mike about a foot from the speaker - about 4 inches off center. Amp is a Behringer GMX110. Tascam 424-3 Porta Studio 4 Track Tape unit. I do a little tone tweak on the Tascam when I go into the PC. Remove a little bass, add a little treble. That goes into the Computer Audio card. Using Blaze Media Pro Software for Editing Audio. No mixing in the PC. All done on the Tascam. Video is Microsoft Movie Maker. Need more info just let me know.

    -B. Bob

  • i just got a yamaha usb mixer with effects, i like it coz i dont have to modify in the pc either, it goes into the pc already set like i want it, was just asking, coz i been playing with different recording software just comparing to see what works best and is easiest, just got a mac pc 2 days ago also im excited to see what i can do with the garage band that comes with the mac, seems easy

  • I'm new to all this.

***EASY*** is Better. That is for sure.

    Keep in touch Pop...

    -Bob

  • yes me too, i miss the old days just plug in to the reel to reel and hit the red button, that was the good oldays, but i guess us old timers gotta learn new tricks, hey maybe thats a good title for a new song "all us old timers gotta learn new tricks" hahahahhaha,

  • I heard two guitars but I guess it was and optical illusion!LOL!

  • Steve,

    Yep an illusion.

My amp has a modeler in it... I had just a slight hint of Octave effect in there. It fattend up the tone nicely. It really stood out in the lead part. Kinda widened the strumming fullness.

    -B. Bob

  • That was really great, I'm glad I was able to inspire you. Love the effects and great job on the multi-tracking. That was really fun and got me in the mood to take out my guitar!

    See, insipiration work both ways.

    Thanks!

    Steve

  • Hey Steve,

Double inspiration for sure. I just faked the video to my recorded audio track. I have no problem recording but when the camera comes on... I lock up. After 4 hrs. of takes, I gave up. So this was a compromise.

Thanks for the kind words and I will keep an EyE on your Channel. I enjoy your work 100%

    -Basement Bob

  • Great stuff Bob!

Boogieing and woogieing all night long yeah!

    Fine bit of multitrackin there.

  • Barry - thanks, I value your comments and really appreciate the visit.

Not sure if it was multi tracking. I faked the video part and played to my recorded version. Kept messing up while recording the Vid... so you knnow what I did - lol.

Keep up your good work too.

    B. Bob

  • real nice bob! love the octave sound! nice ending chord

  • Hey Fred,

Thanks for the kind comments Maestro. The octave surpised me on the end chord... sounded clearer than expected. Looks like that $80 amp is dy-no-mite. If you subtract the shipping - it is more like $50-55$- LOL

I had better redeem myself... and do something slow and classy. Back to work now.
