  • The ray gun is nasty........lol

  • hell that aint very impresive.

  • Looks like my yard, mostly just large rocks, my yard is a tiller killer.

  • Can you imagine the amount of force it takes to stop that moving dozer in it's tracks and making it just sit there and spin its tracks.. my god..

  • what are those back attachments on dozers for?

  • @Langtry613

Ripping up the soil for easier pushing.

  • @mythril4 ICIC.. good to know!!

  • I think that distorted noise is the breaking rock putting out radio interference, which the mic picks up...at least that's what I think....

  • @Lumpyone

    piezo effect?

  • @Lumpyone It's probably just too loud and overloading the microphone.... concerts recorded with a cellphone sound like this :P

  • I WANT ONE!

  • Wheres the potateos??

  • va muy rapido y al retroceder no levanta el riper

  • looks like scratching rocks...

  • why do i think they are cables not rock

  • someone shooting a ray gun near by?

  • @dachief69 lol

  • @dachief69 HAHAHAH!

  • @dachief69 yes someone is shooting a ray gun!!! friggan idiot!!!!

  • he should be ripping with his ripper curled forward. all he is doing is scratching, not ripping. as far as ripping in a direction, any direction is good, keep it in first and curl the ripper to put more weight on the finals and you can bust through a whole lot more than one would think.

  • goddamn it who keeps blowing in the mic?! :P

  • ouch my ears!

  • Epic Subsoiler Ftw!

  • There is some really ugly audio here.

  • I believe the best way to rip rock in north and south, just in case non of you knew.

  • @ureonmyhitlist Your kidding aren,t you?

You rip in what ever direction works best for the strata in the ground, any point on the compass actually, ripping is an art and as far as this guys skill in art goes, he makes a great seat warmer.

  • fuck as an operator my self this looks like it would be fun untill 10 min later you have to get out and weld the fuck out of it so you dont snap you shank off

  • ive heard those rippers turn red hot from tearing rock up.

  • he should have his ripper tucked in he will fuck the ripper boot!!!!!

  • if it dont ripp in in one direction turn around and try the other direction go slow

  • what did u end up bringing in to rip it it with?

  • Tear it up!

  • Learn how to operate a dozer ya silly prick! altho, you'd probably rip more with that!!!!!

  • Everyones a know it all

  • Must be his first day on a dozer?

  • CAT D11N, hopefully, it's written on it. No possible confusion. This is a 225,950 lb (102,490 kg) bulldozer WITH hydraulic impact ripper.

Yes, hydraulic impact ripper is standard; it's not even an option. And this is one of the biggest bulldozers available on the market. And you have problems with only one tooth? The problem is the operator, I don't feel of hear anything that would let me think that the impactor was in operation in that video. What is next? A Komatsu D575A-3 ?(336,000 lb)

  • @brickandfanal sorry mate, no hydraulic ripper on this machine.

  • @brickandfanal that machine aint got no impact ripper .

the operator just needs some practice ...................maybe just slow it down a little bit and use the 4 barrel .

its there for a reason , you have to take the rock apart ! its a art in itself .

  • thats the shit right there

  • cant a nam just show a video without all you wannabe's an big balls nem tryin to rip the shit outta the guy, leave him the fuck alone an go watch some other little tonka's to get ya jollies to

well posted video thanks for showing

  • nice d-11!

  • why do people get so worked up for some video of a bulldozer?

  • Comment removed

  • What was used to break up the ground if that beast couldn't get the job done? And it sound like the rock was exploding when you were digging it up?

  • What was used to break up the ground if that beast couldn't get the job done?

  • that blade (tooth) most be tuff??

  • i do believe they,re diggin for gold

  • what does riping do i mean why do people do it?

  • this guy knoz noting bra my granpa was da firt guy in the state of hawaii to get a d 11 r in his name and operate it

  • Who ever was running that cat hasn't had to much time on the rippers...he needs to pitch that ripper in when ripping in hard rock. it doesn't do NO GOOD to set the rippers all the way back !!!

  • your sound on here SUCKS sould make sure its sounds good before you post damm son

  • @freakyboie19699 Try hitting your mute button.

  • @BikingArchitect is this your video? was i talking to you? damm son learn not to troll others comments

  • @freakyboie19699 No it isn't mine, and it isn't yours either, so there is no reason you should be telling people not to put videos on unless they are up to your "standard." And I ain't your son.

  • @BikingArchitect look trool find something better to do with your time then replying to comments of others videos this video is not yours so shut the fuck up and go back to your lil hole in the wall troll

  • @freakyboie19699 Jeez now im a troll? Or is it trool? No need for the foul laungauge, unless you find it helps to emphasize your point. Thanks for arguing though, I havnen't one on here in a while. Now if you'll excuse me, i should probably get back to my "lil hole in the wall."

  • @BikingArchitect fuck off you troll get a life and move on i posted a comment for the person who posted this video not your fucking dumb ass you need to learn not to troll comments end of stroy fuck head god some people just wont learn

  • @freakyboie19699 Need a tissue?

  • @pirson28 troll much?

  • Nice Caterpillar Dozer Video

  • Looks like a driling rig is needed here. Drill and shoot.

  • skinny tracks on such a beast of a dozer?

  • good on ya jony, fuck the know alls. I know what that shit's like to rip. I used to work at Wilkie Creek mine and we had some areas of the same kind of stuff. Just got to do the best you can with what u got.

  • internet superintendents lmao

  • Man you would be replacing teeth almost constantly.

  • *slice*sizzle* BOOM gas line everone is dead-THE END

  • @oreoshooter Its called digsafe. try it.

  • Holy Crap whatever was making those freaking tracks spin like that must have been strong as hell!! That must of taken a ton of energy holy crap!! That thing has so much weight!

  • d11's will make you go to the bank for a loan to run just for fuel. not talking about maitnenece and everything else.

  • Why not an Impacter? Thats only a spring trip

  • Perfect for cleaning my nails!

  • put some new tracks on the fucker and it will rip!

  • Shit, you could probably till a highway with that thing.

  • lol floatpool

  • Seems like a lot of work to plant a few tomatoes

  • @floatpool shit did i laugh when i read that..

  • so that's were they found the sound for the laser gun ! btw cool movie

  • lololol haha thats what i thought of this vid

  • is that steam from the friction when it break its. cuz i know break rocks they smell horrrriiible.

  • Steam requires water. That's smoke and dust.

  • Not what is shown here!!

  • Catipillar is # 1 second John Deere

  • im supprised the ground is hard enough to actually hold the dozer back. That takes big power to slip the tracks.

  • Me drive ugh-h! good big power push and crunchum good!

  • use a d11R NOT AN N

  • WOW thats badass i'd like to have one for just one day just to drive around

  • id love to drive one just once

  • Can I barrow that for my garden?

  • Is that shale?

  • @blinko656 Yes moron, it's white shale.

  • As much as i think the 11's are huge bastards, wonder why they never actually built one say twice, if not 3 times bigger, you know, just like there's front end loaders , and then there's big freakin' OVERSIZED front end loaders. !

A 9 mtr tall Cat D-30 would sound really nice lol ( not so much the price tag though ) .. should be able to physically reunite all countries together with that sucker.

  • all i see up front is the blade

  • coolness

what is it using for ballast up front? Can't really tell from this vid

  • Hey everyone I had a question, Does anyone here know how to get a heavy equipment operators license in order to drive one of these bad boys?

    I'm 18 btw

  • Any John Deere dozer would have blasted through them rocks.

  • the name don't change the out come the amount o traction does

  • Ya think? It's called sarcasm.

  • should be more clear next time

  • That I should. Or you shouldn't take it so serious.

  • I think the material is early volcanic activity or underground hot water moving then drying mixed in with the dirt.

That is the worst sentence I have ever written.

  • its time for some TnT!!!

  • at :20 it looks like he coulda did the dirty deed

  • What kind of the soil is in there?

Is that solid rock and how big stones are approximately?

    10-15tons?

  • this reminds me of the last tooth I had pulled =)

  • cool i have a d8r with ripper

  • Another classic for all the guys trying to figure how not to rip, ripping or the word is to a degree false, you are actually trying to find where you can get in and you then by technique wedge the rock apart. I was taught you rip on all the points of the compass untill you can penetrate then work from there and speed is not the answer, there is a thing called a decelerator. A quick tip ask the operator what foot he uses on the decelerator when ripping, if he says his left he is OK by me.

  • Stick to your D7 A's ripping soil..Don't give advice about the big gear when you dont even own any

  • No worries, i will do that-NOT!! last time i checked you did not have to own big gear to give advice, after 20+ years in the game i will make my judgements on what i have seen and on one job i was at for 18 months ripping Sydney sandstone we had a D475, D11N, D10, D10R and a D9R and we had about a dozen different operators over that time and it is very easy to see who is ok and who is good

  • 100% true.

All the points of the compass, if you can approach it.

Also, its wise to rip this kind of the soil gradualy.

First you rip, say 30 cm deep.

Then you go around and the rip to the say 50 cm, and the again around and up to meter or so.

And theres no sail type you cant rip apart with these techniques.

Remember, man you re in d11

  • I thought the "up and down" motion of the ripper was a little wrong.

What do you think ? I thought that the operator needs more practice and some training in ripping. I could be wrong.

My idea would be to rip an even shallow rip and save fuel, then come back again or cross rip.

I dunno, What do you think ? Seems to me to be wasting time and fuel.

  • Its not wasting time, you just make soil more "flexible".

The best practice in ripping is when you rip hard stone, because, sometimes, you need to figure out how to approach it.

As i said, first you rip, say 30 cm deep, then same ditch, again but deeper.

When you start to rip, one thing you need to know-postition of your back. If you rise your back from the ground, you cant do much with it.

  • You need to start moving forward, and gradually, lowering riper down, until you feel that its starts to rip.

It could be wise if someone around, outside, can tell you do you rip, or are you in the air.

  • you're not wrong,the driver is a jackass;when you spin the tracks,you are'nt ripping,dozing or even moving,just costing loads a money!.ripping needs patience,if you dont have it you'll damage the machine and yourself.+

  • @ihaveairlockers who cares he doesn't fill the tank anyways and he gets paid by the hour

  • sonuded more like it was scraping not ripping.and it got stuck a few times lol.stick to dynamite and blow the shit up.proly a bit cheaper than that pos tractor.come on it got stuck.lol

  • And it is in 1 st gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Look. I just want to set one thing straight. I'm not driving this machine. None of you were on this site. I really don't care what the know-alls/experts have to say. And a day later i pulled this machine out because the graound was too hard.

  • you do a job as told...or best method...has to hard if D11 waves a white flag...

  • @jonyknoxvil

    Hi

We use this is a training video for our new drivers

Thanks for the great vidoe, we all appreciate it.

  • @jonyknoxvil jonny, ignore the twat comments from the wanks who know nothing, that fucker has some serious ripping power with a single tine ripper, and if that mother was struggling ripping that shit then anything will, only way to loosen that shit is a breaker on a 32ton swinger running in front of it i think, costly though !!

  • @jonyknoxvil you don't srive these machines....you operate them!

  • @jonyknoxvil Just curious, if the ground is too hard for a machine such as this, then what? Explosives?

  • mate put it in 1st gear croud ur shank instead of dragin it and blunting your r/boot

  • how long does that peace in the ground last? dont imagine it has much of a life span bein dragged through rock all day

  • it depends on what type of material u are ripping, stuff like this will wear the ripper tip out after a few days

  • it would be easier with a pick axe

  • might bbe a stupid question but whats the smoke coming from the ground after he ''rips'' it?

  • Rock debris in dust form, I believe.

  • Yep. That's right Mike.

  • I hated that job.

Beats the hell out of you after 12 hours.

  • Yup....Couldn't agree more.

A worse one though....banking shingle for ranges at Hythe.

Nothing as far as the eye can see....except the sea and a sea of shingle.

No glass left anywhere in the cab....the stones took care of that real quick. Just back and forth...back and forth....hour after hour....day after day...month after month. A million cubic metres of shingle spreading before your eyes...and the only things moving...are you, the sea...and the gulls.

  • Ok so this may be a stupid question, but what exactly is the point of a ripper?

  • exactly what it is: a ripper. It's rips rock and hard ground making it easier to cut/push material. Easier for scrapers to load also.

  • really? Cool? I did not know there was such a thing! Can you give me a few websites I could look at? fap fap fap

  • I'm sure your right. Cuz you flog yourself over a fair bit of granny porn on the net every day. So you'd know..

  • lol great comment

  • what that scratching noise is that wind or ripping

  • It's the noise from the ripper boot and shank vibrating. Grinding through the rock.

  • maybe it was D9 I can't remember exactly!

yeah it was a D9 cause the D7 was the working horse of the USMC.

  • yo my military unit got D12 + armor = kill!

  • Your military got a D9 son.

  • Breaks up rock so scrapers can haul out dirt. trying to get it down to grade

  • what that for?

  • have you seen the new D11T?! I havent seen it yet but iv herd guys talk and I gess it has the fold down catwalks and laders. I think all that extra catwalks are going to get tangeld up in trees or other things. Id like to see one run.

  • No fold down catwalks unless you pay extra (MSHA required in most mines).

  • Ye we have a D11T in our fleet.

  • i wish i could drive one of those so bad. btw whats up with the sound?

  • is this d11?

on that mudy terain it almost loose its grip.

  • Now that thing looks dam near evil...love to drive it....got a d-10 old POS but could never get it running.

  • Big CAT i would love to drive it

  • Stick it in 5th, lift the ripper all the way up, put on some Bruce Springsteen, and drive to a bar.

    Hope this helps

  • Now your talking. LOL

  • Now Thats A Good Days Work!!

  • Leave the ripper down is more like it, just watch out for gas/water mains.

  • altough i do have to say i have seen a D8 with wider tracks

  • thats a damn big dozer, very nice

  • if u tuck the ripper under its only the ripped boot penetrating not the whole shank. you only have two rip a foot deep or the whole depth. cross rippin will help aswell. u have to get to know your machine and it potential

  • Didn't you read the last reply?...

  • tuck your ripper under in 1st gear then just work your cannons make life easier

  • YAWN.. It was in first gear and it would not penetrate all the way "tucked under". All these experts saying bull crap from there computer desks and they were not even there...

  • agreed you realy need to be out there to know so be out there and then tell us stuff other wise keep it shut

  • suprising how anything could stop the d11

  • Them rails are for holding your grill on there, the D10T i run at the mine i work at has them on there to

  • now that is what i call hard-core gardening.

  • #1 your an idiot

#2 if its a peice of shit why is it the most popular large dozer in the world?????? tosser
