Modest Mouse requires patience. They enjoy creating a mood, shattering it, and re-making it with a light sensibility. It doesn't always work, but it's enjoyable to go along for the ride. This reminds me remotely of "Ocean" by the Velvet Underground...a stripped-down version. Me like.
