i don't think a li-ion battery will work. it is not as sensitive as a li-po. but i would like to see one connected to the mains outlet, not a car battery the outlet!!

It's also the reason I put in foam in the battery pack, I could perfer Lithium Ion battery as it's encapsuled in tough Aluminum - Zinc metal - if you abuse it, it could do nothing. (I have abused several so far, it still pour out voltage - but still, don't trust it entirely, I always hold it to feel for any heat - if it get too hot and smoke coming out, I throw it.)

I run a 3c lipo 2200mah 27amp lipo mine would explode like a grenade compared to that one also that battery is like 40 bucks retail not 100 and mine was 80ish there not that pricey

But for all the danager this batterys are 200-300x more powerful than nicads but the cost is the fact the contents of the battery pacts catch fire with air no heatsorce neassary a simple puncher will do it

I see all these kids crying why blow 100 bucks ok 1 if you running rc and lipos you have plenty of money to blow and to clue all you guys in lipos last like 6months to a year before they become dangerous and unstable also they lose charge over that coarse of time regardless if you use them or or not so after a year or so you can throw it away or destroy it in a creative way as shown here Because the charge times become shorter and shorter and they are more prone to explode during charges
