Quote it. That's this show's tagline. I didn't care for DP until he started breaking fourth wall. But I never saw him as able to affect the comic in a 4th wall breaking way, but was just aware of how ridiculous this ALL was.

The romance is workable..bring back syrin, make a nice crazy triangle.

He's not too bad in Messiah Complex, but now I am sad. Now I realize this is the new Wolverine.. I'm gonna go like Cyclops now.

DP is for sure the new wolverine. speaking of wolverine, in the latest issue Jason Aaron took his laughable over-exposure and made a very compelling (and funny) story out of it. granted it took me like a minute and a half to read, but it was 90 seconds well spent. can't wait for the next part. DP #10 was great too, DP vs. Bullseye how can you go wrong ;)

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that even though I am a DP fan I thought this issued suxed shiz-ite big time. I hated this, and the art made me want to stab myself in the eyes too. I agree there is too much of DP out there and Marvel exploited one of my favs just to cash in on a piece of shit movie. I beg you Marvel no more DP for awhile let him recover from the beating you've given him recently. I agree 110% with your view on this.

Does anyone else feel Deadpool would be better served if he was a badass mercenary than, as CCW aptly dubbed him, "the bugs bunny of the Marvel U."? Its hard to believe a mercenary as horrifically disfigured and skilled as DP would be so lighhearted and risible, markedly when you think of his past - how he was essentially dumped like garbage by Weapon X . Spidey's always been the MU's premier comedian in my eyes. Deadpool feels redundant and unnecessary. Thoughts?

Nope I agree DP is in many ways that trickster character, it doesn't take away from his "Badassyness" *That a word?* anyways..if he's a bit looney it makes him different from the Wolverines, Punishers, Cables of the world.

I guess my problem with him is that I've never found him funny - except in the elevator scene in the Wolverine movie and ItsJustSomeRandomGuy's video. Aside from those, I've never found DP funny at all. Just really, really, stupid.

I think calling him unnecessary is a bit far, it's more a case of his schtick seeming tired. He's always been the merc with a mouth. To me it sounds more interesting that he takes the shooting and killing so unseriously. Again, I think the problem is that some writers over do it.

Its more like he's as one dimensional as they come. He has no supporting characters, no purpose, not definite allingment, and his unfunnly routine of getting mutilated and trounced to get laughs gets hoary very quickly. After the first 3 issue of his new onging series I was already tired him.

His own split personality is an interesting supporting character.

Again, it all falls on who is writing him. The character has always/continues to have potential. I haven't grown tired of Deadpool yet but with Marvel overexposing the hell out of him I wouldn't be surprised if I did.

His split personality is another aspect of him I find stupid. There are many maginificent ideas that could give DP compelling gravitas and pathos not unlike that of Marvels more grounded and human heroes. Perhaps its because of the suit, but to me his personality completely contradicts his appearence and occupation. He could be so much more.

No. His suit is all wrong for being Marvels bugs bunny. When looking at the Thunderbotls cover there the last think one would think about a charactr dressed like that is that he makes an ass of himself in every oportunity presented.

Navy Seal and Rangers doubtfully crake wise ass jokes when on duty or in least not as much as DP when in combat. Bad comparison.

Uh..that's Wolverine before the X-Men. DP's life I'm pretty sure sucked. So now it doesn't. And what makes it great is that yeah he's gotta do shitty jobs, but he makes his own hours. And he can say whatever he wants.

Also, Spidey is too popular to really be THAT self aware, not to mention DP can get away more easily with non family friendly material. I see where you are coming from, but they cater to different markets.

This is why I hardly buy any Marvel books. At least when a DC title disappoints me it probably has some giant talking apes or something to take some of the sting away.

Regardless of this whole fiasco, do you think Thunderbolts is still worth reading? I've always loved the concept, but at this point I'm not sure if it's worth potentially taking away a slot from one of the Bat-books I'm going to have to add to my pull list this summer (yes, I'm a fanboy).

Thats probably a tough one. I think after this crossover, Diggle will do good things with it. Crossovers sometimes take away from the regular book but with it over T-Bolts can get back to basics.

I liked the two issues that Diggle wrote before this crossover. He laid some groundwork that could become interesting. I'm kind of excited to see if and how Songbird takes down the T-Bolts.

If you want good Deadpool, read Messiah War. You talked about wanting Wade in a dark situation where he can be crazy. Night and day with this. I mean, I think Deadpool appearances are ok if there are writers who can write him well. Most just can't.
