  • I can't believe he used to be so skinny!

  • his pinky looks really fucking weird

  • nada's a fucking beast.

  • noob zerg no lair no hydra den no muta??? wtf i could beat a zerg like this all day

  • @DS650POWER haven't you caught on to the fact this is old school as hell ?

pro's back then were like a D+ player nowadays. if only i new then what i know now..

  • @Killerman2k true, but they still had the speed back then to multi-manage everything

  • NADA!! :)

  • Man crazy how the game has changed, back then they wouldn't even think about expo till science vessel was out. Heck, I'm not sure muta stacking was discovered at this point in time.

  • the map is Lotst Temple and he is very good player :)

  • a single zerg pod is more difficult that this one

  • is there one of these for protoss players (>'.')> really like this

  • what map is this ?

  • he speaks korean but types english?

  • OK... seriously.. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT OF ALL THAT MICRO WHILE GAINING SCVS? That isn't doing anything.. they are already auto gathering... it can't go any faster.... what a fucking moron. I understand the micro on attacking and building alittle bit.. but seriously? TAKE A FUCKING CHILL PILL and let your SCVS GATHER.. jesus christ!

  • @quickplaya Do you realise how much of a ignorant cunt you are? Read the 99 comments explaining it or better yet PLAY THE DAMN GAME AND TRY IT.

Without spamming, warming up my apm I reach 110 effective APM TOPS in the lategame (30 minutes in)

With spamming I keep warmed up during boring and not so challanging parts of the game and can reach around 250 effective APM in the late game..

It's not personal prefference, it's not something that's optional. It is REQUIRED to be the best!

  • @DJFearce

    Bullshit :/

  • @DJFearce

"It's not personal prefference, it's not something that's optional. It is REQUIRED to be the best!"

    No it's not.

  • @DJFearce no auto mining in starcraft 1 get it u manually have to put the scv on the minerals every time it comes out... its not wC3 or fucking starcraft 2 were everything is auto....

  • @ikameozero I think thats one of the reasons why nada has been doing considerably bad in the sc2 league ever since he transferred from sc1 to sc2. If you've watched all the seasons so far hes always lost in the round of 16, he only made to the round of 8 i think only once. Since sc2 has auto stuff like that it requires less apm and less micro, which makes it easier for the other players to play the game better, thats why you have other players winning the leagues at 150 apm while nada is 400 apm

  • @Korealty I think the real reason why he is doing bad is because of something called "university". If he isn't attending university, he would become at least as good as Polt (who I think just finished recently).

  • @achan1058 :O didn't know he was attending university, yeah thats also a factor as well.

  • @Korealty Most of the top players in the world have sickly high APM. SC2 isn't less APM intensive. It just requires APM to be reallocated to different actions. Also, although Nada hasn't been winning tournaments, he's been making the most consistent results with at least reaching the round of 8 every GSL. While in University, he's played 5-10 games on the days that he doesn't have class. Now, he's on break and playing 30 games a day. He'll be dominating now that he can actually practice.

  • @quickplaya

He's getting laid and paid for playing Starcraft. You're... not. >_>

Anyway, I think you need to chill out. Not him. xD

  • @quickplaya MAN WTF ARE U TALKING ABOUT microing the scvs ???? are u retarded ???? there is no auto mining in starcraft 1 its not noobie starcraft 2 theres no auto mine u have to put every scv on the minerals while doing everything else.... fuck u sound like a retard

  • OK...

  • @quickplaya Athlete warm up their body.. Programmers warm up their micro.

  • haha, damn. what a sweet strategy.

  • I can beat all these little noobs I AM GINGUN

  • you know you play too much sc when : doing foreplay on a women seems simpler:/

  • @restlys hahahahahhahahahaha true true maby he needs a woman for his finger micro!

  • even pros lose track of their supply... or did he do that on purpose?

  • Vegeta, what does the replay say about his APM level?

    IT's OVER NINE THOUSSSSSAND!

  • i played [ReD]NaDa @ iccup when i was B-

    i got raped yo, but i game him a good match r-_-;

  • All you had to state was your level.

  • Do pro-gamers use customized hotkeys? like "QWE/ASD/YXC" beeing the controll grid on bottom-right on the screen. Or do they use the original blizzard-made Starcraft hotkeys? pls answer :P thanks

  • original ones

the other hotkeys are forbidden in the leagues

  • @CodeNashor nope, its illegal in starcraft. its legal in W3.

  • this guy have achieve total Omnisciences and Omnipotence on this game

  • pointless clicking makes ur mind work faster -.-

  • Guys pinky finger on his mouse hand is creepy and yeah, that's a lot of pointless clicking.

  • He's warming up his micro.

  • No he is trying to get high APM to satisfy his ego.

  • @Mr2Azn4You fuck micro you should all play games like Supreme commander you cant micro that and its more about unit match ups and terrain control (a true real time strategy)

  • @enCODed3 Actually, I think pure macro isn't real-time strategy. It's more strategy based on planning and knowing the build rather than an actual real-time strategy with smaller field tactics of attacking and retreating with quick speed. There's a very delicate balance of micro vs macro in Starcraft and requires much more skill than just macro.

  • @enCODed3 The only thing that makes real time strategy real time is micro. Might as well play a turn based game if your just gonna macro...

  • @enCODed3 yes yes a true real time strategie god ur a moron if it was betetr than sc1 people wud be playing it more wudent they and korea would have it as their national sport instead of starcraft 1 but they dont and the reason is ??? cos supreme commander is a noobs game which takes no skill lols idiot

  • zerg played aweful

  • Hm... Ran has science facility and zerg doesn't even have a lair...

  • cause its not a real game..its just a how to'' game..

  • yah he does, except the lair is at his third hatch

  • mulan?

  • judging by the strats used and how young nada is id say this is most likely from 2002-2003

  • When you play at 300+ APM, dont you think its kind of hard to not be moving fast even in the early game?

  • Comment removed

  • this isnt from 2006 also empty is a noob who only thinks that speed is unneccesary to make himself feel better about being a slow fuck. this speed is necessary to multitask micro and macro properly and the spam is so nada doenst miss a beat.

  • The only thing I found odd about this is ... no FE ... but then again its 2006 ^^ on the subject with the warm-up , i find it quite necessary as your APM usually slows down during the game , besides it gives you something to do.

my APM isnt that good , when i mech against protoss i can usually keep it over 200 :p , but when i go bionics i tend to be slightly over 150 beacuse bionics is simply ... harder ^^ though its fun as hell !

  • some people call the excessive clicking at the beginning warm-up

personally I think it's nervous and/or unnecessary and I can comfortably have ~50 APM in the first couple minutes and be fine

  • I see you don't ever multitask heavily.

What you're doing is like sprinting the 100M dash w/o warming up. Sure it can be done, but you'll get better results after you warm up.

  • Because you suck, and do not know how to play in the pro league.

  • You're probably terrible too, stfu bitch and dont talk to people you don't know shit about, die in a fire fuck face.

  • You're cool, way to get easily angry. I like angry nerds, fun to pwn. Ezpk gg gl hf. kthxbye

  • Right right, you just keep thinking what you want to and I'll keep thinking you're an ignorant mongoloid.

By the way, what's 'ammaculate'? :)

  • Ammaculate is a name, and also a Vehicle Shop. But what do I know, im the ignorant one, when you're raging because you suck. Winner.

  • Haha, yeah--kocksukkkkkkkkkker is a name too. Face it, either you can't spell, or you draw your inspiration from some low-budge body shop in Washington.

I have no idea whytf anyone would ever do that [unless they owned the shop perhaps], so my best assumption is that you just can't spell.

    Find more junk on google.

  • You seem very angry. Way to go, but what do I know, you're the big man with extreme relevance. You win by being retarded, yay.

  • I must started playing Starcraft (*shock*), so I'm uber casual. Can someone explain why he's clicking shit like crazy, even at the very start when he's just waiting for his SCVs to mine crystals? Are there any guides online to exactly what these guys are doing?

  • he's spamming his keys

it keeps his hands warmed up so as the game progresses his hands won't slow down

  • it's also better for your hands. because your hands are moving more there is more blood flow. the increased blood flow can prevent symptoms of carpal tunnel.

  • He had to do a mineral split so he mines minerals slightly faster(by assigning each SCV a mineral patch seperately) and the rest is to just warm up for micro/macro

  • wuts the difference of micro and macro?

sorry I'm new with this game...

  • micro is unit control and macro is resource management

  • yes micro is unit management. but u need to macro to micro.

a macro is not only for resource management

  • no mutras?

    anyway.. its from 2006.

a normal zerg will conter u and run in your base when u drop all your units in his base.

his eco will be on his expo. and your base will be full of lings

  • Wow that dropship trick, with the rines is brilliant, never thought of that

  • thats crazy

  • ok until 10 minutes, the terran has a big tech army and all the zerg has is zerglings?

    nice

  • hydras are still used. mostly zvp, but also when terran plays mechanic units instead of medic/marine, they work really well. your right though, they do kinda suck,.. and so does mechanic units tvz.. ITS FOR NOOBS I SAY!:I

  • i think every educational video by the pro's have noob opponents... also, this map.. "The Lost Temple", is the only half decent map ever made by blizzard... and even though its half decent, its still favourable at some location..some matchups especially

  • seriously who wouldnt make hydras?

  • a lot of people.

A lot of pros go straight to muta against terran to muta harass,

Hydra is not useful of a unit as 5 years ago.

  • So you get used to it in the early play. In the later game when you have several units and buildings, you have to switch as fast as possible to handle threats all over the map.

  • What is the point of fast clicking the hotkeys and everything around ??

  • it keeps your attention so you dont lull off

  • that three centimeter drop was pure ownage, I think I'm gonna try that next time I TvZ O.O

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of training do the pros go through to build there skills like that.

  • lol im no pro for sure, and i guess its apparent when im clownin on the boss :D. It just looked funny to me b4 i understood the reason and it makes perfect sense, like a warm up. Ty for laying some game on me seabard77, verdurakh, and achilies555 :)

  • i'm just a protoss user, I can't play terran for shit.

  • ... he is nada dude

even boxer couldn't mass with him in his prime.

  • mess i mean

  • for people who do not know

Nada won most major tournaments in history.

  • true but he aint no boxer

  • Nada is actually as popular as boxer in south korea. He also has won more championships.

  • that is cuz he needs to be fast later, so he needs to keep doing that to keep his speed up so it is easier to always be fast then going from slow to fast later on

  • He's only doing that to keep himself at top APM the entire game, almost like a constant warmup. That and possibly other reasons I don't know of.

  • back when he was playing his best he practiced up to 14 hours a day. its a lot harder than you think

  • i know, it was sarcastic, was directed to lookoutforthatrock,

  • he is known as most consistent hard working player.

  • ^ lol @ noob comment

  • nada je t'aime =)

  • gotta love that clicking noise:D

  • Ok... so how do one adjust his building style when the enemy takes a different approach if the only one you cover is this one?

I think instead of showing the rest of the video you shoulda stopped @ Academy part (since the game will be different every time from then on...) and explained briefly every possible outcome and a counter measure... =)

Really I think the only thing novice players need to be taught is the economy... Let them come up with their own strategies! That's what it's all about!

  • omg so high clicking noise:P

  • My highest APM Is 184 :(

  • thats about 120 more APM than mine....

i should stop trying to become semi pro...

  • he is spamming to to keep his hands loose for late game, still hands=bad performance, trust me

  • I don't trust you

  • lol you win

  • why did this get -2 thumbs down?

Do any of you understand the game?

does any of people in youtube understand how to play starcraft?

This guy is right. You don't need that much APM in beggining.

A lot of Pros say that they keep their APM high in beggining to warm up their hands.

You don't need to set rally point every .5 second....

  • true , apm means nothing, just a bunch of wasteless clicking, you can be good with just using normal clicks, not clicking everywhere

  • you need high apm in mid to late game and mass battles

    and especially when you're protoss.

All those microing shuttle reavers, troops, templars, placement of arcon, arbiter freeze, and etc.

The mass apm in the beginning is to warm up their hands for later games.

  • 1a2a3a

  • 4a5a6a

  • shame there's no dubbed audio to this...or subtitles, lol

still, looking at it, it's definitely an inventive build.

  • 1 base build ftw

  • What mouse is he using

  • Logitech Mini Optical

  • lol this is the only one that isnt backwards on apirl fools

  • The most retarded thing about this video is the repetitive APM comments.

Most retarded is repetitive questions on why he spams keys.

Please direct your attention to the reply two rows down so you can find the answer to your question. Dumbasses.

  • Comment removed

  • and this is why building 6 sunkens in your entry sucks ...

  • I remember this strat whistfully. used to be everyone did this. I haven't seen anyone attempt a 2rax sunken break in months

  • Wow lol. Please do your research first lol

  • What that a response to me?

  • Can someone please explain to me why he is doing all that (what seems) unnecessary clicking and typing?

  • its for warmup because later in the game he needs reaaly high apm.

  • is useless but peaple crew in his apm (actions per second).people thinks that if u have a good apm u are better player but this is false.good apm helps u to play better but isnt all in starcraft.(sorry 4 my english)

  • Thanks for the response! And now i understand....kinda.

  • it's not useless as paulstance182 puts it. he spams all those keys and clicks because later on in the game, when a lot more is happening on the battlefield and at his bases, he'll have already developed the rhythm of moving his mouse and hitting his hotkeys quickly and that'll help him not miss a beat when producing units and controlling his units on the field.

to be a good starcraft player, u should have a minimum of 130 actions per minute. apm is necessary at higher level play.

  • Wow this is a very good tactic. I've never heard of this in all my years of gaming not even in Warcraft 3. Thanks for the reply drzeng.

  • people do it in all games that are played professionally pretty much. counterstrike players move their mouse left and right very fast to get in the habit of constantly moving it to points warcraft players have to have high apm all game from beginning split to micro.

  • If you watch Wc3 fpvods they will spam in the start aswell because as the game picks up there is so much to do, better be prepared :)

  • whats he doing with the SCVs there at the beginning

  • i dont really know when your talking about but if you mean when he has 4 SCVs its a trick called cloning. basicly you select all four SCVs, the click gather, then you deselect one of the SCVs and repeat.

  • what about when he is producing SCVs.. he is constantly clicking the whole time.

  • warm-up

  • and what kind of warm up is it.. is he doing anything or is he just hitting buttons? :P

  • Thanks for the reply but it really doesn't help a lot with my question. What is APM?

  • actions per minute...

  • Sounds like he's typing a 10+ page paper that's due in 5 minutes....

    That's a Korean Pro for ya :)

  • Can you change the Unit's hot key's? Or marines are just stuck at "M"?

  • does that dropship tactic work on the map python? since lost temple and python are pretty mucht the same thing

  • i kept reading the title as a programmer /Red nada

pr0gamer programmer both are what i long for being one

  • Why does he keep clicking the SCV's over and over to go mine? Do they work faster?

  • no its to keep up his apm up which warms up his hands to help him in the later game, its hard to keep track of like 3 bases and produce mass units while microing them and attacking the enemy without fast hands and good apm.

  • serious? So all that clicking is technically not needed right? I always wondered why pros do that with their SCVs..

  • Dumb question: What's APM????

    I really don't know :S

    Awnser please!

  • lol, APM = Actions Per Minute

  • How do you calculate that in StarCraft?

What method is used to calculate players' APM?

  • In Starcraft, every click of the mouse and the push of a button is considered an "action"

After a match is finished, you load the replay (a .rep file) into a program called bwchart.exe and it will show u your APM throughout the entire match, your max APM and overall APM, your hotkeys, build order, etc.

    it's a useful program.

  • what key is he keeps hitting in the beginning?

  • Dam this guy Does hotkeys like crazy

  • how does he superate all his scvs in the beginning so fast.

  • How do you get them all to mine different clusters so fast at the start?

  • Send the scvs to different clusters. Doh?

  • if this was on ICCup I bet the other guy didnt know he was playing against Nada lol!

  • nvm

  • Does anyone know how pro/good players like this do their hotkeys?

  • High APM is useless when we're talking about mining, since most of those actions are just used to keep your hands warm.

The high APM really matters when we're talking about things like dropship harassment, or managing and efficiently using large numbers of infantry. Something I can't do well at all.

    I also noticed that he could scout while pumping rines and SCVs. -______-;;

  • just hotkey the scouter, and hotkey cc and 2 rax, it's easy to just skim through the keys pressing "build scv" or "train marine" while scouting

  • I've actually do that, but it doesn't mean I'm good at it. I'm really trying to learn to use all of my hotkeys.

Listen here kids: hotkeys are like deadly weapons, they will unleash your potential ;P

  • when you hotkey the cc and 2 rax for example, you can just click instead of switching from pressing S for scv and M for marine. it's easier to just point the cursor and click three times for the scv, marine, marine. then you gotta move the cursor back to scout ur scv

  • lol

  • y does he have to keep clicking and scrolling over his SCVs?

  • I think its just to keep his APM high.

  • so u dont really need to do it?

  • nop, not at all.

  • some of the clicking is not individually important but more like an idling car engine

  • The first minute of a starcraft game you only need like 8apm, but people spam like so to keep their hands warm.

  • ok..

  • when he says like the 12 suvs or 26 suv does he mean altogether suvs or including the marines or units?

  • supply count up in the corner

  • good tips but arent terrans playing FE nowadays?

  • of course there is, retard.

they keep themselves warm so that when it comes to fast combataction they don't screw micro and macro at the same time up.

just like jogging to stay warm and sprint if necessary.
