if you want to go with a melee character veronica is the way to go you can get her at highway 188 just talk to her and say good stuff about the brotherhood of steel i personally have her and ED-E you can get her along your way to New Vegas

*sigh* everyone in the comments. I know you want to help Tolhe, but don't spoil EVERYTHING. You aren't suppose to just know its Jeanie May. Another member of the town tells you something is shady in the motel. Also you aren't suppose to know about the BoS, they are suppose to be this mystery faction. They were really important in FO3, but you aren't suppose to know about them and what they do. It is really sad that everything is spoiled.

Tolhe Hunting rifles are far better than their fallout 3 counterpart they are a real sniper rifle but they don't come with a scope like boones ocasionally Old Lady gibson will sell one same with the guy in the Dino bite gift shop in Novac.

It is far better damage wise than the Ratslayer even just the normal rifle itself DPS not somuch till you mod it.

Tolhe, Veronica is a very good melee companion. She is part of the brotherhood of steel and can get you into their bunker. She is found at the 188 trading post. It is south of camp golf and north of el dorado dry lake
