Art the Greeter from Disney's Beach Club Resort in Walt Disney World

I had the pleasure of meeting Art just a few months before he retired. I was in Orlando for a convention and was staying at the Beach Club . I arrived in a pretty foul mood due to some transportatoin issues with the flight. After I checked in, and came down from room to go to my first meeting, there was Art, and he said something to me that didn't make me smile at first, but then I thought about it as I walked to my meeting, and my whole mood just changed for the better. Thanks Art.

Ohhhh this is the famous Art my Uncle talks about! My Uncle stays at the Beach Club twice a year & Art knows him & my Auntie by name, & they always have a good old chat! It's a shame he's retired, he seem's a lovely man.

Dear Art! My family had the privilege of meeting and talking with him. He is truly a good and gentle soul, so giving and loving, radiating joy and happiness. He is a Disney legend in my mind! I think Beach Club will lose a little of her soul without him there.

It is so nice to see someone who loves their job. To me he was the face of the Beach Club and when you saw him you knew the vacation had started. I am sure he will be missed by many.

I was having a pretty bad day until i saw Art on this video. I remember him from all my trips to Disney. I was hoping that he'd be there for christmas time cuz thats when i'll be there. That man just puts a smile on my face.

awe, I remember him from when I stayed there in 1994. My brother and I were 9 &10 at the time, we used to go down to lobby & talk to him everyday. :) Truly Disney magic.

Art had the biggest impact on me. We are DVC members and go several times a year and he always remembers our names. The last time we saw him was for my sweet sixteen two summers ago i was so sad that he would be retireing before we go on October 30th. My family loves you Art!
