  • @KiLLMaTiiC Yes. but doing fast twitch exercises would be better than changing what you are doing.

    look up plyometrics and agility training these two trypes of exercises should help you increase your 0-60 speed and your top speed to. Agility training can be really useful in becoming faster at chaning directions.

    plyometrics will give you more explosivness and improve your vertical jump.

Then again, he bootd them relatively fast, when i bench im more focused on control and touching my chest.

  • I am literally 150 pounds at 5'10 and in the worst shape of my life and I can still bench 185 no problem lol. And the funniest part is that I am a track runner so most of my muscle mass is in my lower body. Not to burst your bubble or anything, but it's not really a big accomplishment!

  • @obezana thats true in some cases but in alot of them tall people do not have to move the weight THAT much farther than short people. all they have to do is space their arms wider apart.

  • @kvncldrn im actually improving ALOT just from focusing on repping instead of trying to max and do high weight all the time. like i got 135 up 15 or 16 times a couple weeks ago, and now im getting 185 easy. so im gonna try and build my reps up on 155, and then ill try and max again. hopefully ill get like 195 then.

  • its all in how you train man. i am 6'2 160 but iam cut, however i bwnched almost 300 in my prime. i can bench 115 pound dumbells for 2 reps, deadlift 420 etc. its all in the training man. check my videos if youd like to know how to get stronger. also man 225 is a great bench, its over your bodyweight. many people cant bench over their bodyweight, and most people cant bench 2 plates on each side.

  • @ryu1036 Some guys are just naturally stronger than others. Also, different dudes are stronger at different exercises. I'm 5'10" and 190 pounds and my max is somewhere around 270. I've never been good at the bench press, but I can do a shitload of dips, somewhere between 25 and 30. It's crazy though; I've seen dudes at my gym who weigh like 160 and they're doing 315 on the bench for 5 reps. Genetics can make a BIG difference.

  • try switching up ur training, sets/reps, that stuff....it has a lot to do with ur C.N.S. try benching around 70% for 8 sets of 3 reps and push the weight up as fast as u can. u will be outputting your max force (thus stressing ur CNS) and u will get used to benching fast, it will help strengthen ur mind. Im 5'7" 165lbs and can 'only' bench 205, and ive been stuck for a year, i just cant get 225, but i know its psychological
