he interpreted the bill maher joke in my opinion. the joke that bill was getting at was that rick perry is so dumb the (racist) conservatives would vote for the black guy. bill was trying to say conservatives are racist. im not defending bill because he is flat out wrong but the joke was misinterpreted.
@llewisddiaz OH I SEE NOW! so us tea party guys don't protest how he wont support the oil pipeline, Israel, capitalism, freedoms, restriction free business (Laissez Faire), and on and on and on, i don't have time for people like you, stop being so ignorant and wake up.
@cobrompton He wasn't misrepresenting that smarmy shit stain Bill Maher, he was making a joke about how Perry is "so dumb" in his statements, that the "racist" conservatives in spite of being "such racists" would now even "consider actually voting for a Black man now" in Herman Cain. That was the joke he was making and you know it. Herman Cain was always a viable equal considered candidate for conservatives, and conservatives have no issue with voting for a Black politican.
@CyberSpaceman81 Yes, that is the joke Maher was making! Alfonzo however was taking his statement literally to mean Maher himself is a racist who couldn't believe conservatives could vote for a black man. Watch the freakin' video!
@cobrompton So we agree that he was making it, I am saying Alfonzo took took it literally because smarmy Bill Maher was being personally sincere to his personal preconceived conceptions of conservatives in saying it. Alfonzo was right to take it literally because it was delivered from the same "humorus" place that not so humour delivered things like Conservative blacks are "uncle toms" come from. Maher certainly delivered it in such reinforcing "humor" to his audience.

@cobrompton Spare me, you're now giving off the same trite, smarmy, and condescending Liberal rye smiling shit stink waves that Bill Maher's whole TV schick and personal persona gives off. He is nothing more than a skeevy man with a smarmy disposition who feeds his audience jokes targeted to play on the Liberal preconceived notions of us that he and Liberals hold. He is just a smarmy atheist dick and Liberal scumbag, who can take his obediently chuckling Liberal audience and leave
@cobrompton Actually he isn't doing anything right, for a guy who is always high mindedly secure about his own virtuousness, one would think that it should be a surprise to find him so smirk filled and condescending nearly all the time, yet it isn't. That is because the ability for Liberals to act like self assured smarmy "in the right" dicks supposedly teaching everyone else all the time has been coddled for the past few decades now. It shows little humility for other truths.
@cobrompton btw....I am white, conservative, and I voted for that Liberal lair Obama last time. "New Dialog on race" my ass!!! I would have more enthusiastically voted this time for Herman Cain if he could have campaigned into nomination. Bill Maher and Liberals can kiss my ass, We conservatives have no issue with voting for a Black person, Liberals have a problem with belittling conservatives and Black conservatives as "racists" and "uncle toms" respectively.
I subscribe to the notion that there is corruption, racism, prejudice, and good old fashioned greed on BOTH ends of the spectrum. The men and women at the top: the bulk of them are bought and paid for, and not by the common man such as you and myself. If you believe the Democrats are the holy grail, you're naive. If you think the Republicans have your best interest at heart, you're a dreamer. This form of dichotomaous thinking is what's wrong with our culture. There is no safe place.
As I scan down some of the responses here, I think we are in deep trouble. The idiots have been sucked in to the "greedy bankers" and "huge business" crooks targeting people.... what a load of crap! You know wh? Government forced the banks to give sub-prime housing loans to create the bubble! The government and Liberals; especially Progressives are the reason for our woes. The tea party wants to go back to what works... and without racism.. race has nothing to do with it.
I voted for Obama and I am not a Democrat Republican or a member of the Tea Party and I am not a Liberal.
I am a middle class American citizen that is sick and tired of having to pay the most taxes and have to get the royal shaft to fund this country while the Banks and big company's constantly target us.
I hoped thing would change when Obama became President and I'm not saying he hasn't tried.
why you people hate obama or dislike him.give the man some respect.maybe he's in a hostage position if he don't obey the powers that be. he might be harmed.give the man some love.it's not his fault.there is a power no one knows of.
@13Xanadu this idiot is only adding fire to the liberal vs conservative politics. alfonzo rachel is just a water carrier for these republican wankers. Government is too bloated and needs to be drastically reduced, taxes cut, end the wars abroad and a more FREE market economic system. These environmentalist ditzy's are also playing a game of government handouts with their bullshit GREEN economics, HA!! stupid liberals, and christian zealots. what a fucked up time we live in.
@13Xanadu It is liberals who are pro slavery since they're the ones who want the government to have as much control over peoples lives as possible. And the word liberal wasn't twisted by anyone on Fox News, you're just making that up in a lousy attempt to make yourself look smart. And you liberals really need to stop believing everything other liberals tell you and start thinking for yourselves more often.
its funny because the same tea party 'patriots' are now accusing the left of being racist, evil, christianophobic and against the occupy wall street movement. It looks like the tea party were a classic right wing demo against left wing governance which also ended up being orchestrated by fascist media.
It's only racist if a conservative/republican/libertarian protests Obama. Obviously. Those liberals are all egalitarian - obviously - they're just mad that Obama's not liberal enough. So to sum up: only folks who disagree with Obama because they feel he's not liberal enough are non-racist. All others are racist jerks. Obviously.
I used to be liberal, then after actually working for a Liberal Member of Parliament(Canada) I became conservative. Nobody is as blind to reality as a liberal.
but yea there are alot of people saying racist stuff on this page not only from ron paul fans though. but there are people who try to get zo's facts straight.
He ran away from Adam Kokesh During the 99% parade =P
Zo is racist after watching his clips. Also hostile when asking questions and has no idea what it means to be a Conservative, which is why he should stay where he is.
It is about "POLICY"......and not "PIGMENT"......Bush was just as bad a president in my opinion. He swung the corruption to the other extreme side as have many presidents before him. The major problem isn't even the presidents! The problem is fundamentally the FEDERAL RESERVE and Worlwide Central Banking!!!!
during watching this I was thinking- whoa this guy is good! Then I realize he's just pointing out the looneys of the left. Not very hard. But do keep up the good work!
That guy is a racist and an idiot, no one has said because you disagree with The President you are racist. Its an argument he's making up. Basically his assertions is Liberal says you are a racist just because you disagree with the president, therefore all people who disagree are racist. I've NEVER heard a liberal say tea parties are racist BECAUSE they disagree with the President ever. As far as his rant on Bill Mahr Bill said nothing that he said Bill Mahr said. Not one word.
I'm not saying they are the only ones but they sure take it to a whole new level. Finding some Uncle Tom ass black guy to insinuate liberals are racist for protesting Obama is ridiculous...as is the insinuation that conservatives are particularly because they don't agree with his policies. Show me a Liberal Klu Klux Klan member and I will retract my assertions.
@pwilkerson318 Nobody compared this jackass to a KKK member. I simply asked you to produce some liberal KKK members. To say that liberals are racist for protesting Obama is just stupid. Its ALSO stupid to assert the same about conservatives. Conservatives are dubbed racists because *NEWSFLASH* they typically are racist in these modern times. People who are socially liberal are rarely racist.
@bootyraider Our black supreme court justices was Thurgood Marshall, whom a lot of Republicans don't like. Also, he was the first black supreme court justice. So, the Democrats were ahead of the Republicans on that. Thanks for reminding me and now the other viewers of the Democrats of that critical fact in regards to race relations.
@bootyraider Just don't say that conservatives didn't show up. They did. They lost. Democrats grew in numbers. You guys are not "the people." If you were, then you, for some reason, voted largely Democrat in 2008, giving the Democrats 60 members, growing the House, and increasing the number of governors. The only reason you won in 2010 is because a lot of Democrats didn't show up, because they felt that their voices were not heard, and they weren't. So, they became disenchanted and cynical.
@bootyraider The Southern Strategy is not a theory. In fact, people like Michael Steele, a black Republican, validate the existence of the Southern Strategy.
@bootyraider Economically, he's not. If he is, then Eisenhower must have been Stalin when the marginal tax rate was almost three times higher as it is today. Also, Obama has cut taxes while asking for revenue increases. Asking for the marginal tax rate to once again become Clintonian is not "hard Left" nor is it "class warfare." That's hyperbolic language that reminds me of the story of the Boy Who Cried Wolf.
@bootyraider Not all of them, no. You get history wrong again. How bad did you do in history, buddy? When the Dixiecrats died out, some who didn't like the expansion of the federal government stayed with the Democrats; those who didn't like the civil rights tendencies of the Democrats became independents. They wouldn't switch over to the Republicans, because the Southern Strategy wasn't completed until the 1960s with Nixon.
@bootyraider But they would vote for him over Obama. They probably just voted for McCain while holding their nose, because they don't want some "NBP-supporting socialist Nazi using the White House for house parties and world domination." Note the sarcasm. Plus, McCain had Palin as his VP, which, I'm sure, those same people of whom you speak love because they're stupid.
@bootyraider I know that the only black governor of today (Deval Patrick) is Democrat, and I know that the Democrat party was the first party of the two parties to have a black president. Also, to your point that the "first Black Congressman were Republicans" doesn't counter the claim that the Republican part of TODAY is generally racist. You keep referring to the pre-Southern-Strategy period in an attempt to discredit the claim that the Republican party of TODAY is generally racist.
@bootyraider I mentioned Strom Thurmond not because he was the only political figure who switched from Democrat to Republican; I mentioned him because he was a famous political figure, and I was using him to symbolically show the transition from the Republican party of yesteryear to the Republican party of today. Also, the South doesn't just want to go pre-civil rights; they want to go antebellum. The South, especially the Republicans, hugely support the confederate flag, a symbol of racism.
@bootyraider And another thing: In 2010, "the people" didn't take their country back. A lot of Democrats didn't show up to the poll because they were disenchanted with Obama continually going back on his campaign promises and catering to the Right of this country by letting Republicans and right-leaning Democrats virtually control everything. Obama didn't close Gitmo, he's aggressively going against medical marijuana users, among other right-leaning activities. He's not "hard Left." Trust me.
@bootyraider I argue that the Tea Party and the Republican party, generally, are racist. I provide evidence to substantiate my claim. You counter those claims by talking about a different historical aspect of the Republican party, which is irrelevant to the point. As to your claim that the "Left" didn't win congress on their own, I agree, they didn't. A lot of conservatives didn't show up. But you forget that we also grew in 2008, when conservatives were showing up.
@bootyraider I agree the Dems can't win the south and yest they don't have a strategy. Dems are very poor at organizing and staying in formation like Repubs.
@bootyraider You can't just say, "I'm not the racist. You are" and then have no contextual evidence to substantiate your counterclaim. That's not sophistry; that's just an "I know you are, but what am I" mode of argumentation. Having said that, to your claim that the Democrat party has gone "hard LEFT," to be honest, I haven't a clue what that means. You mention "ABORTION, ACID, and HIPPIES" perhaps you can follow up on that without using "bumper sticker slogans," as you say.
@bootyraider Yes, it's a term. But only a label. But just because the term came about when you said it does, doesn't exclude the reality which it accurately reflects.
I'm worried you are having a hard time with reality.
@bootyraider Here you go. "Mr. Former Republican/Mr. Free Market/Mr. deregulation/Mr. over-regulation."
So spoke of regualtion or the lack there of.
Regarding Cain or Obama and policy. For me it's not about race.
For politics... yes it does play a role.
Obama is basically a republican... pro wars, pro wall st, pro corporate pay-offs, pro drug war, pro prison industry, pro surveillance society, pro spying on his own people, pro mil ind complex. pro low taxes (he has preserved them)
@bootyraider geez. Ummm you really believe that? You hide behind terminology and ignore reality. Not too effective, unless you're brainwashed or indoctrinated.
The strategy was first adopted under future Republican President Richard Nixon in the late 1960s
@bootyraider baseless? well we have something in common, I'm loving this too.
Baselss... these are facts. Just look at what he has been saying.
Fact: deregulation lead directly to the financial collapse in 2008. Yes fanny/freddy played a big part but the crusher was the derivatives. That is what caused the banks to start going down like flies. The regulations were NOT in place to check all the risk the banks took.
@bootyraider Wow, the laughs keep on comming. The Southern Stategy wasn't seemless, it was a long play over 30+ years. It was a siege, not a one or two year election cycle.
You have your conclussions and work backwords. Not scientific.
All it takes is to just look at the South now. They have embraced Lincoln's party. The question is why?
There are more than a few reasons. But one is racism. Wave that confederate flag much?
@bootyraider lol. Sure, and he is trashing his own race every chance he gets.
Further all of the candidates SUCK! Beating Obama in 2012 should be a slam-dunk! But instead it's a long shot.
Further I'm sure those polls don't include FOX's brad butter demographic, the white trash poor who vote against their own interests like the stupid cattle they are.
@bootyraider lol. He was a born again Christian from the south. Hullo?
And it was before the Christian/Evangelicals fully mutated and stunted into an insane right wing cult. Then the South jumped on board the Republcan party. And the South is the Bible belt.
@ConservativeMBA Yeah but Eisenhower would be considered Democrat today because the republican party has moved so far right. They would hate Ike like they do Colin Powell. So your account of history is badly flawed to the facts on the ground today.
And please explain how/why all the Southern Civil War democrats flipped to what was Lincoln's party?
Answer the Southern Strategy. The republicans marketed to the South to flip by appealing to them with racist undertones. It is a fact.
Oh, and isn't it funny how liberals, back in Bush's day, would say that war was such a money maker and that America went to war to sustain its economy...and now they're claiming that war ruined the economy!
@ArrogantAmerican333 It is profitable, and GW and his people over at Haliburton are still making a killing off of his Iraq war. Liberals would never say that GW was trying to sustain the economy by war. Al liberals knew from the begining that the there would be big money to be made by the elite and the economy would suffer. They also knew that the war was a grudge match/ posturing for position in the arab world
@bootyraider There's no ommision. Civil rights legistaltion was proposed by liberals, passed by liberals and opposed by conservatives - some of those liberals may have been running under a republican ticket but there was almost 0 support for civil rights below the mason/dixon line - which is where, in 2011, republicans live.
An an ethanol subsidy is buying someone off - legistlation to make the lives of the poor easier is what Democrats go to congress to do.
Incredible that fox news is portrayed as such a 'martyr's burden to the left, like it is oppressing them. It advertises ''fair and balanced'. If should say proudly 'totally biased to the right.' Let the left pretend to be 'fair and balanced' as they tell half the story, and cannot contain their arrogant scornful expressions (trained) when they speak of conservatives.
The Left has used Black America and Hijacked the Civil rights movement to promote ideas, off the very backs of Kings and his blood sweat and tears, that are completely contrary to most African American values, eg, removing faith, gay marriage, Abortion, Etc..These are only being empowered off the Backs of Kings message. This is a betrayal of Black America!!
@bootyraider Riiiight. lol. A stereotype in every sense. You only look for information and evidence that supports your beliefs. You clining to your interpretations of history are proof.
I was a republican but I started reading and seeing things for what they really are.
I'm not in a rut like you. I traverse the political spectrum, I'm not steeped in dogma the way you are.
You're an ideologue that has been proven false after 30 years. Conservatism is a myth.
@bootyraider So what? They are all red now. And the Southern Strategy is 100% true, that's why you can't stand it. And ok... the "thanks to 100 years of progressive policies and people like you who voted for them;"
give me a few example of the liberal policies that have put us on the doom express. And don't say the usual entiitlment BS because those while they are hanging over our head they haven't doome us just yet.
The wars have ruined us (I know typical!) and deregulating the banks too.
The South became Republican because of its economic growth late in the century, not because of Nixon. The South elected Carter right after Nixon, so Nixon's Southern Strategy obviously had no long term effects. That and with racism dwindling in the country as a whole, the South was likely to gravitate towards the Republicans since racism was the glue that held them to the Democrats. It was Reagan's Southern Strategy of emphasing shared values (cont.)
(cont.) such as traditional marriage and gun rights which brought the South over to the Republicans.
And what liberal policies have led to doom? Just watch Steven Crowder's video on Detroit, or look at all that money thrown away in the name of "economic stimulus". Or look what happened when the Democrats pressured banks into giving loans to people who could not pay them back on the grounds that if they did not they would be *drum roll* racist! Or look at Britian's handgun ban, or (cont.)
(cont.) the rioting in Europe in general, fostered by lack of arms in the law abiding populations hands and the sense of entitlement socialism fosters. Look at what the left's anti-school voucher stance has damned inner city kids to educationally! Look at the terrorist attacks under Bill Clinton, or 9/11, which happened before those national security policies liberals hate (wire tapping, foreign interventionism, the Patriot Act) were implemented. And look at post-WWI pacifism (cont.)
(cont.) how that allowed Hitler to role through Europe, getting stronger with the resources he sapped from nations with every conquest. Look at what the price controls implemented during the Oil Shortage did or how price controls turned African nations from food exporters to starvers. Look at the homelessness in New York that results from rent control. Look at how Europe's spending on social programs have left them with no military power, relying on the US to pull Haitans out of the rubble.
@ArrogantAmerican333 Nice effort. Yet it only takes one thing to shatter that illusion; the South still embraces it's confederate flag and dreams that they should've won that war.
Simple. South Carolina still waving the confederate flag is all you need know. They are still racists and yet now they are republicans. Just look at NASCAR, they've tried really hard to get their fans from waving the flag.
Further the Carter (born again Christian) experiment was before the Chris. right mutated.
@bootyraider I don't deny that the republican party used to be the pro-black party - don't put words in my mouth. It's just that political ideologies switched. After 1964 no racists were voting for the party that passed civil rights, and no-one anti-black voted for Obama in 2008 (obv.).
This black support for the Democrats isn't a liberal conspiricy - republicans offer them nothing, blame them for every social woe - so they vote Democrat.... duh...
@bootyraider I'm not saying you're a racist. But the question posed by this video is "Why - when liberals protest Obama do they not get called racist" the answer is: unlike conservatives our record towards minorities is very positive. Calling the Democrats anti-black is like calling the GOP anti-church or anti-war.
@bootyraider How is it relevant what Obama's Kenyan first cousin may or may not have said. People have a personal responsibilty to not take everything they read at face value.
if you think the president wasn't born in america, you're either
a) very stupid (IQ <85)
b) you don't like the idea of a black president and are trying to undermine him
Between these two options I see b) as more likely.
Diebold fixing the election machines, republicans standing at the polling booths asking if voters had felonies in black districts, closing polling places in black districts, attacking programs designed to help lower socio-economic and minority groups, detaining people in Arizona and demanding proof of residency, demanding to see Obama's birth certificate, claiming he is a Muslim, referring to and accentuating his middle name, Strom Thurmound, David Duke and let's not forget all the e-mails and
@aceflashheart The vast majority of tea partiers protest against Obama because of his destructive policies, not because he's (half) black. Also. a lot of signs tea partiers hold that liberals claim are racist really aren't, but rather they want to believe they're racist.
@bootyraider But who is your candidate? ha ha ha. Circus? Just look at your line up it's a joke. And the funniest thing is one of them could very well be president. You have to laugh, there nothing left to do.
And I'm not a formal liberal. I'm a liberal who is taking what I can get.
You are hard boiled indoctrined. Your Masters should be proud. I am in awe of them.
100 years of progressive policies? Yeah no progrss has been made in the last 100 years.... twit.
a lot of people at these protest are stupid but there are a few that are there to promote capitalism, sound money, and limited government /watch?v=rQow0Fhua1A
@bootyraider Oh, one one other thing. I gonna vote for Ron Paul!!!! I'm gonna write him in no matter what. It's hilarious how you guys hate the guy. There you go a Democrat who is gonna throw his vote away for Ron Paul. No really. Hopefully your candidate wins though and he can fuck you over just the way W and Cheney did. And the Teabaggers will be all confused again... like dumb highscholl sluts.
Bottomline this country is going down. No one can stop it. It's the Titanic. Grip that Bible!!!
@bootyraider Well I watch Zo's comments all the time, he puts on a good show. I come here to do exactly what I'm doing. I like to see what makes you guys tick. lift up the hood. It's very interesting. You're wired so tight. Like Iranian fanatics, I imagine. The tea baggers tactics are ineffective as well. They are misguided too. They cling to typical republican ideals that lead them right to the same exact place they started. And they get used like dumb whores.
@bootyraider Yes, I agree the demands are a joke. And their tactics are a joke. They are not strategic.
Do you disagree that our system is broken? and corrupt? Do you disagree that politicians (right and left) are bought? Do you disagree there has been regulatory capture?
Racism is just used to divide. On Al Gore, I praised him because I knew it would get your panties in a twist. I don't hate the guy though. I'm indifferent.
I'm not independent, I am liberal. I am a democrat.
And on the Glenn Beck point, how the hell can you not see the irony in what you just said? EVERY DAY white Republicans, including Glenn Beck, are accused of having a deep-seated hatred for black people (which falls right in place with the stereotype of white people being bigots) with NO explanation. And unlike Glenn Beck, they don't apologize.
Second off, if you think there's no basis for what he said, look up the video "Bill Whittle Makes Black White".
*sigh* No one questioned Clinton's birth place because both his parents were Americans, obviously (Barack Sr. wasn't even an immigrant, he was a student on a scholarship).
Oh, by the way, Barry Goldwater desegregated the store he owned. He just didn't support the government forcing all businesses to do the same. It's a little thing called principles.
Obama's birthplace is questioned because his father was Kenyan (and, at the time he impregnated Obama's mother, had only come to America very recently, and left very soon) obviously. No one ever asked for Al Sharpton's birth certificate when he was running.
And how the hell is the "white slavery" accusation racist!? You couldn't tell me a logical answer to that to save your life, unless you were to make a statement that was incredibly hypocritical given the left's rhetoric about race!
WOW! Do you know how inaccurate what you just said was? The Democrat's have a history of racism dating back to Lincoln! look at any true civil rights legislation (1960s and earlier) and see how the parties voted! And don't say Democrats back then were conservative. The NRA was founded by a Union General, the income tax was established by a Democrat who hosted "Birth of a Nation" in the White House, Joseph McArthy was a Republican, and Mr. New Deal was a Democrat.
yup, can't have it both ways! Awesome, man. The Left are the worst racists there are. If you are a black conservative, you are called slave, oreo, uncle Tom etc. If you oppose Obama you are a racist if you support Herman Cain (or Allen West, who I ray God will run), you are a racist (Garafolo).
Saying that IS racism!!
lol, that condescending b****h at 07:01 feeling she had to translate raison d'etre for you. Of course, whe Bush was in office, opposition was sacred.
"A Brilliant man like Herman Cain" Federal Reserve Chairman of Kansas City Herman Cain? Talk about the blind leading the blind. LOL Ha ha ha ha ha... Idiot
I'm a conservative, and a tea party member and i love alfonzo and im white. I'm so sick of liberals calling me racist. I'd vote for Herman Cain over everyone right now too!
I love how this poster, bootyraider, spews all this racist, illogical, fact-void bullshit and gets a thumbs up from some of the viewers. Might be indicative of something, eh? (;
he interpreted the bill maher joke in my opinion. the joke that bill was getting at was that rick perry is so dumb the (racist) conservatives would vote for the black guy. bill was trying to say conservatives are racist. im not defending bill because he is flat out wrong but the joke was misinterpreted.

I would have more enthusiastically voted this time for Herman Cain if he could have campaigned into nomination.

You know wh? Government forced the banks to give sub-prime housing loans to create the bubble! The government and Liberals; especially Progressives are the reason for our woes. The tea party wants to go back to what works... and without racism.. race has nothing to do with it.

Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider Just don't say that conservatives didn't show up. They did. They lost. Democrats grew in numbers. You guys are not "the people." If you were, then you, for some reason, voted largely Democrat in 2008, giving the Democrats 60 members, growing the House, and increasing the number of governors. The only reason you won in 2010 is because a lot of Democrats didn't show up, because they felt that their voices were not heard, and they weren't. So, they became disenchanted and cynical.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider The Southern Strategy is not a theory. In fact, people like Michael Steele, a black Republican, validate the existence of the Southern Strategy.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider Economically, he's not. If he is, then Eisenhower must have been Stalin when the marginal tax rate was almost three times higher as it is today. Also, Obama has cut taxes while asking for revenue increases. Asking for the marginal tax rate to once again become Clintonian is not "hard Left" nor is it "class warfare." That's hyperbolic language that reminds me of the story of the Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider Not all of them, no. You get history wrong again. How bad did you do in history, buddy? When the Dixiecrats died out, some who didn't like the expansion of the federal government stayed with the Democrats; those who didn't like the civil rights tendencies of the Democrats became independents. They wouldn't switch over to the Republicans, because the Southern Strategy wasn't completed until the 1960s with Nixon.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider But they would vote for him over Obama. They probably just voted for McCain while holding their nose, because they don't want some "NBP-supporting socialist Nazi using the White House for house parties and world domination." Note the sarcasm. Plus, McCain had Palin as his VP, which, I'm sure, those same people of whom you speak love because they're stupid.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider I know that the only black governor of today (Deval Patrick) is Democrat, and I know that the Democrat party was the first party of the two parties to have a black president. Also, to your point that the "first Black Congressman were Republicans" doesn't counter the claim that the Republican part of TODAY is generally racist. You keep referring to the pre-Southern-Strategy period in an attempt to discredit the claim that the Republican party of TODAY is generally racist.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider I mentioned Strom Thurmond not because he was the only political figure who switched from Democrat to Republican; I mentioned him because he was a famous political figure, and I was using him to symbolically show the transition from the Republican party of yesteryear to the Republican party of today. Also, the South doesn't just want to go pre-civil rights; they want to go antebellum. The South, especially the Republicans, hugely support the confederate flag, a symbol of racism.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider And another thing: In 2010, "the people" didn't take their country back. A lot of Democrats didn't show up to the poll because they were disenchanted with Obama continually going back on his campaign promises and catering to the Right of this country by letting Republicans and right-leaning Democrats virtually control everything. Obama didn't close Gitmo, he's aggressively going against medical marijuana users, among other right-leaning activities. He's not "hard Left." Trust me.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider I argue that the Tea Party and the Republican party, generally, are racist. I provide evidence to substantiate my claim. You counter those claims by talking about a different historical aspect of the Republican party, which is irrelevant to the point. As to your claim that the "Left" didn't win congress on their own, I agree, they didn't. A lot of conservatives didn't show up. But you forget that we also grew in 2008, when conservatives were showing up.
Xycester 4 months ago
@bootyraider I agree the Dems can't win the south and yest they don't have a strategy. Dems are very poor at organizing and staying in formation like Repubs.
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@bootyraider Ugh. ? really?
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@bootyraider You can't just say, "I'm not the racist. You are" and then have no contextual evidence to substantiate your counterclaim. That's not sophistry; that's just an "I know you are, but what am I" mode of argumentation. Having said that, to your claim that the Democrat party has gone "hard LEFT," to be honest, I haven't a clue what that means. You mention "ABORTION, ACID, and HIPPIES" perhaps you can follow up on that without using "bumper sticker slogans," as you say.

Baselss... these are facts. Just look at what he has been saying.
Fact: deregulation lead directly to the financial collapse in 2008. Yes fanny/freddy played a big part but the crusher was the derivatives. That is what caused the banks to start going down like flies. The regulations were NOT in place to check all the risk the banks took.
baselss? These are facts. Basic truths.
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@bootyraider Wow, the laughs keep on comming. The Southern Stategy wasn't seemless, it was a long play over 30+ years. It was a siege, not a one or two year election cycle.
You have your conclussions and work backwords. Not scientific.
All it takes is to just look at the South now. They have embraced Lincoln's party. The question is why?
There are more than a few reasons. But one is racism. Wave that confederate flag much?
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@bootyraider lol. Sure, and he is trashing his own race every chance he gets.

Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@bootyraider lol. He was a born again Christian from the south. Hullo?
And it was before the Christian/Evangelicals fully mutated and stunted into an insane right wing cult. Then the South jumped on board the Republcan party. And the South is the Bible belt.
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@ConservativeMBA Yeah but Eisenhower would be considered Democrat today because the republican party has moved so far right. They would hate Ike like they do Colin Powell. So your account of history is badly flawed to the facts on the ground today.
And please explain how/why all the Southern Civil War democrats flipped to what was Lincoln's party?
Answer the Southern Strategy. The republicans marketed to the South to flip by appealing to them with racist undertones. It is a fact.

The wars have ruined us (I know typical!) and deregulating the banks too.
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@Lombokstrait1
ArrogantAmerican333 4 months ago
(cont.) such as traditional marriage and gun rights which brought the South over to the Republicans.
And what liberal policies have led to doom? Just watch Steven Crowder's video on Detroit, or look at all that money thrown away in the name of "economic stimulus". Or look what happened when the Democrats pressured banks into giving loans to people who could not pay them back on the grounds that if they did not they would be *drum roll* racist! Or look at Britian's handgun ban, or (cont.)
ArrogantAmerican333 4 months ago
(cont.) the rioting in Europe in general, fostered by lack of arms in the law abiding populations hands and the sense of entitlement socialism fosters. Look at what the left's anti-school voucher stance has damned inner city kids to educationally! Look at the terrorist attacks under Bill Clinton, or 9/11, which happened before those national security policies liberals hate (wire tapping, foreign interventionism, the Patriot Act) were implemented. And look at post-WWI pacifism (cont.)
ArrogantAmerican333 4 months ago
(cont.) how that allowed Hitler to role through Europe, getting stronger with the resources he sapped from nations with every conquest. Look at what the price controls implemented during the Oil Shortage did or how price controls turned African nations from food exporters to starvers. Look at the homelessness in New York that results from rent control. Look at how Europe's spending on social programs have left them with no military power, relying on the US to pull Haitans out of the rubble.
ArrogantAmerican333 4 months ago
@ArrogantAmerican333 Nice effort. Yet it only takes one thing to shatter that illusion; the South still embraces it's confederate flag and dreams that they should've won that war.
Simple. South Carolina still waving the confederate flag is all you need know. They are still racists and yet now they are republicans. Just look at NASCAR, they've tried really hard to get their fans from waving the flag.
Further the Carter (born again Christian) experiment was before the Chris. right mutated.
Lombokstrait1 4 months ago
@bootyraider I don't deny that the republican party used to be the pro-black party - don't put words in my mouth. It's just that political ideologies switched. After 1964 no racists were voting for the party that passed civil rights, and no-one anti-black voted for Obama in 2008 (obv.).
This black support for the Democrats isn't a liberal conspiricy - republicans offer them nothing, blame them for every social woe - so they vote Democrat.... duh...
aceflashheart 4 months ago
@bootyraider I'm not saying you're a racist. But the question posed by this video is "Why - when liberals protest Obama do they not get called racist" the answer is: unlike conservatives our record towards minorities is very positive. Calling the Democrats anti-black is like calling the GOP anti-church or anti-war.
aceflashheart 4 months ago
@bootyraider How is it relevant what Obama's Kenyan first cousin may or may not have said. People have a personal responsibilty to not take everything they read at face value.

@bootyraider Dude, I'm not for Obama. He is more like GW Bush than he is different from him.
I wasn't for any bailouts. I didn't want the car companies bailed out either. I am a free market guy.
Rule of law too. But the rule of law has been suspended for the rich who control govt.... wheter its big or small.
I think the Occupy Wall Streeters are misguided. They should be meeting privately and planning a debt revolt and consumer revolt.
You don't have a clue about me.

@bootyraider lol. Riiiight. Google's ok with me. They don't need bailouts or kick people out of their houses. They don't prey upon the weak.
Now in the future google may become to powerful but right now they are just fine. They let me argue with Bible thumping Nazi's, like yourself.

@aceflashheart
And how the hell is the "white slavery" accusation racist!? You couldn't tell me a logical answer to that to save your life, unless you were to make a statement that was incredibly hypocritical given the left's rhetoric about race!
ArrogantAmerican333 4 months ago
@aceflashheart

The liberals have cornered the market on 'racism'(TM)... unfortunately for them that account is tapped, dry, kaput!
Two faced idiots can't even see their own g-damn hypocrisy.
