  • good for handicapped

  • Nice work dude and nice sing ;)

    Track id pls :)

  • @Snuff808 DJ Shadow - mashin on the motorway

  • Very cool... I like it....

  • U speak like stephen hawking xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • EXCELLENT WORK KEEP IT UP MY FRIEND.

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI SEPTEMBER

  • Bravo. Great simplicity!

  • The bicycle type spoke laced wheels in the front are inappropriate in this application. Especially having such a great load as lead accums... The weels are feeble.

  • where did you find the sprocket ???? and is there any larger?

  • @MrJawnn I bought the sprocket from the same scooter store where I got the motor. It was in a box of spare parts and I don't know anything about it.

  • If you attached the drive chain to the middle gear you could pedal up to a speed and let the bike take over for you.

What you've got now is a low gear, high torque take off to walking speed.

You want the mid range powered by the engine.

Shorten the chain and toss it onto the 4th gear.

You will thank me later (Chocolate chip cookies = thanks)

  • Great build Mate!

  • That seems like a insanely large motor for such a purpose.

  • Comment removed

  • @Gunner3210

its an 800watt motor, which is about 1hp, less than you get in a lawn mower. The motor has to be that sort of size to generate the torque necessary to move the weight

  • Bad luck with all the crashes, cool project though. What kid of range does it have?

  • exelente.

  • I like how you used the freewheel to drive the bike instead of one of those rag-joints from the motor bike hobby sites. How did you mount a cog that large on the freewheel/cassette? Thanks.

  • @stopglobalswarming I welded the larger drive sprocket to the existing cassette, making sure to keep the same axis of rotation.

  • @mshimek Thanks for the tip.

  • put a 50cc 4stroke engine on that

  • @2point6x4 fuck that hit it wid an old cr500 2stroke lol

  • awesome

  • great job !!!!!! i know this type of fabrication is not easy, lots of patience

  • Very cool project. Can I ask how you crashed this project? Your brain damage doesn't seem to have slowed your design thinking down any. You should stay on this project and find a test rider to help you with feedback.

  • @GlassEyeProject There are many reasons this project is no longer being pursued and it is passed the point of resurection. My brain damage was caused by a high-speed motorcycle crash and is completely unrelated. My cognition is fine but my speech and motor functions have been greatly affected.

  • @mshimek Sorry to hear that its past the point of resurrection. Well then start a new one!! lol your brilliant !

  • @mshimek Sorry to hear about the problems from your crash. The bible holds out hope for all persons who want what is right..it speaks of the deaf hearing, the blind seeing..and no one will say 'I am sick' in my holy mountain. When on earth, christ healed people to show that he would and could do so..and will do so on a world wide basis once his kingdom comes to power over the earth.

  • that is awesome !!!!!!!! how long did it take to mount the motor and such?

  • @williamblake69 Designing the layout took a lot longer than actually mounting everything. It took about two months overall but I wasn't working on it all day everyday.

  • dude this is fantastic. how many miles can it go till the batts go flat.

  • @BANGERS68 I was trying to figure that out when I crashed. I am no longer pursuing this project but I know it was good for at least 8 miles.

  • Great job!

  • Where can one get a motor like that? Beautifull Job....I just Hope that thoes HHO Cells Comes Soon so we dont have to charge once adag. " 2 liters of HHO for 100 Km's.... That is nice isnt it ?

    GOOD LUCK BROTHER, GOD BLESS.........:-)

  • @Ebdan88 I bought the motor at a local electric scooter store. I'm sure you could find an online supplier but the motor is such a small part of a project like this.

  • I'm thinking about selling my RC toys and start biking with something like this.

I'm sorry to read you have stopped using it after crashing it.

I would like to make something like that with start assist but everything is so expensive today.

  • make me one! :)

  • outstanding nice .

  • yours is cool. check out mine. ;)

  • good job man!!!!

  • I think you did well on the trike. Sorry you had to get rid of it. I did a similar thing on my mothers old three wheel trike. Ten years later, it still goes very good.

  • I want to turn my bike-e into electric but how?

  • looks very safe. and the batteries that you are using are cost effective. good work!

  • Dude! Performance specs?

  • @BongSao1979 I crashed. The three-wheeled EV is dead and has been sold for parts. The top speed was 31 mph. Can't tell you more than that.

  • @BongSao1979 I crashed. The three-wheeled EV is dead and has been sold for parts. The top speed was 31 mph. Can't tell you more than that.

  • @BongSao1979 I crashed. The three-wheeled EV is dead and has been sold for parts. The top speed was 31 mph. Can't tell you more than that.

  • @mshimek You crashed before riding this trike??

Or you crashed before in car(heavy acident with brain damage injury) and else once more in elektrotrike?

is this your last accident, after loosing licence to drive anything what moves faster than walking?

  • @xmicina I had a severe motorcycle crash (brain damage and many physical problems) years before the electric trike. I also crashed on the trike while range testing the batteries. I am no longer working on this project.

  • are you caboose from redvsblue? if so THAT IS SWEEET!! and that bike is sweet! mine is gas, more expensive though...

  • I have no idea what your question means.

  • so you dont know what Red Vs Blue is? check it out on youtube, lol its by rooster teeth, you sound just like on of the characters from it, his name is Caboose

  • nice. bike. you sound cool.

  • looks like FUN!!

  • Exelent job

  • aaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Way to be a dick.

No one needs your shit, ever.

It's fuckers like you who deserve to be thrown in a barrel of gas and lit on fire.

  • can you send me a diagram of the batteries connection and the speed controller connection to the dc motor and the th

    trottle

  • This project ended two year ago and I cannot help you.

  • Nice trike. i hope you get well soon.

    Greetings from Iran

  • my guess as to why you crashed would be the steering controls.. that does not look easy to steer at fast speed.

  • Thats really cool dude, what is the avarage speed of the machine you built? I also read your comments about your crash, least your here with us still mate, how fast were you traveling if you dont mind me asking?

  • I currently ride and my channel is dedicated to riding and the bike community, forgot to add that in there haha

  • I was wearing a bicycle helmet and crashe at 24 miles/hour.

  • do you still ride motorcycles, or have you retired from them?

  • I still think motorcycles are unbelievably cool but also accept they are extremely dangerous. I don't ride anymore.

  • Respect: i guess you werent wearing a hemlet or were you. but glad your safe and alife, and know who you are.

  • The 'high speed' part means I would've died without a helmt. My helmet was FUBAR but did it's job admirably. I simply wouldn't be here without it.

  • hey man what happened do you have some sort or brain slur or something you sound smart as fuck but you have a slur in your speech.

  • I am a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering and was in a high speed motorcycle crash nearly 8 years ago. I have a traumatic brain injury (brain damage). The injury did not affect my cognition but did affect my speech, balance, etc.

  • wow lucky your higher functions were intact. maybe you could warn fellow humans that motorcycles are dumb :)

pray to God and maybe you'll get all your functionality back. you may not believe in God but he believes in you. if you think I'm irrational and foolish then try to make a robot feel pain.

luminous beings are we, not this crude matter : )

  • If we are not of this "crude" matter, why then if my brain gets damaged my personality ( you might call it a soul?) changes?

  • if the spiritual is real as I propose, then doesn't it make sense that brain injury does not happen by accident. if you try to understand a spiritual hypothesis you can't assume only the physical is real

  • we are completely made of carbon matter and water. we were born from crude matter and to crude matter we shall return. If your into jesus then you know what I mean.

  • I of course know what you mean but you are still wrong. if only you could just focus your mind for the few seconds it takes to realize that a robot that screams feels no pain, didn't need to nor could ever. and because we have sensation it's proof of the metaphysical aka spiritual. but I doubt you can think for even a few seconds. ironically such haste is a spiritual quality

  • why are you still preaching? and what does a robot have to do with the price of rice? it doesn't matter how much he prays to god( if he even believes in him). There is no way, nor is there any proof that he could regain full cognitive abilities as mentioned. If you want to provide some concrete proof os such "miracles" be my guest. I for one believe it is all in the cards. You either get lucky, or you don't.

  • your belief is of no concern.

    seek and you shall find

  • neither is your belief of any concern to anyone else. I seek a way for you to shut up. Now what are the chances of you fulfilling my request?

  • Since you dont have a crank you might as well utilize the front with some foot pedals to control the speed. pretty cool tho

  • i like your ride a lot better than the goverment motors(GM)chevy volt.who wants to pay 40 grand for something that makes a pinto look like a caddy?your ride is so cool.

the world needs more people like you and less people that throw sticks at people like you.

have you seen the lincvolt neil young is working on?its on youtube check it out.

many thanks to you and people like you for trying to make the world a better cleaner place!!!keep up the good work.

  • very nice work

  • What this criature have inside the mounth?

  • ni hablar bien sabes Boludooo ajjaja

  • Very interesting your model, the question changed gear from front to back and what kind of engine you used.

    Thank you and congratulations.

  • at least we no the speed control works

  • The crazy three legged hippie? Is that a terratrike tour or an earlier version like the 3.4 (That's what I have)? Did you crash on the trike? My dad's friend was hit when he was riding a bike on the shoulder of the road, and he had to get brain surgery.

  • Nice work bruv! Keep it up

  • forgot to tell u i fought the local national parks to allow disabled people to have electric bikes on the bike trails.i for get everything i have tbi.keep up the good work

  • dude, that thing is sick!

im trying to make something similar, out of a motor i scrapped off an old scooter.

  • yeah der buddy!

  • Nice project mshimek. I'm wanting to build a faired recumbent trike with electric assist throught the driveline as a commuter/errand vehicle. Presently ride a two wheel recumbent but want a three wheeler for winter commuting.

Very impressive experiment, hope you take it to the next step on another project... lighter, better handling, work out the complexities of running the driveline parallel with pedaling so it can be an assist unit.

  • looks great man... hey by any chance do you know how much it waits the holle bike? [sorry for my speeling...}

  • I never weighed it but I would guess about 60 pounds.

  • people that get hung on your speach are brain damaged, Hawkings can't talk at all ......

  • If it takes brain damage to build one, can I have some too!?

    Very cool ride!

  • You are the first person to bring that up but you are right. However, it is important to mention that my brain was damaged in areas that did not affect my cognition. I was an engineer before my crash and I'm still an engineer.

  • pa impecableeeeee te pasastes

    salu2

  • wow, rad EV! good work! i'd love to build something like that sometime. that drivetrain would be awesome on a tandem greenspeed :)

  • nice work man

  • how is that sprocket attached? looks a fairly professional install.

  • I had some spare spacer splines which have the correct shape for the bearing hub. Using the existing hub meant fewer modifications to the drivetrain. I widened the existing hole in the sprocket and welded a spacer spline to it, being careful to maintain the correct center of rotation.

  • well done it looks like you did a great job. For the battry pack why not get a lifepo4 battery and then put it behind the rear seat at the top? then if you wanted to you could then put the peddles back on

  • Lithium batteries are expensive and I did not need the extra range/weight savivings. Keeping the pedals required aditional clutches and added complexity to the design. Going electric only simplified the design a lot. Besides, this was a research platform not a commuter vehicle.

  • thats cool man you should try and put it in a car its really easy if you have a light manual car.

  • A very nice job! Good for you..

  • turning radius of about half a mile?

  • Watch the video smart guy.

  • realy cool but how do you get the battaries

  • I bought the batteries from a local electric scooter vendor but they are fairly common. you might be able to get them from your local hardware store (NOT Lowes or Home Depot) but you can definitely order them from online sources.

  • what vender is it and where

are they still easy to get in denver

  • I bought the batteries at alien scooters but they're a mom-and-pop store here in austin. I'd reccomend an online vendor like planet battery.

  • what is the max speed?

  • I reached 26 mph on it. It was extremely scary and unstable.

  • CHECK THE FIRST AC E-BIKE CLICK MY NAME

  • dude thats how mine's gona be. realy ive been working on it. :)

  • It's Caboose!! Caboose built a EV!! Go Caboose!! Church would be prowd.

  • it is cool i need to do a pedal one any tips

  • I decided not to do pedal/electric because the clutching for the pedal assembly would require a good deal of modification to the trike. Pay attention to any drietrain mods and make sure the chain runs smoothly.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • This looks almost exactly like one I'm working on right now...I guess great minds think alike. :) Nice job.

  • How are you steering this gizmo? Are steering by braking individual wheels?

  • The bars sticking up on both sides of my butt are the handlebars. They steer the front wheels.

  • Excellent bike. I like the song. Could you tell me the band and song name.

  • The song is "mashin' on the motorway" by DJ Shadow off the Private Press album.

  • very nice. so when you pedal it kindof cuts off and charges the battery?

  • nice!

  • No pedals, just pegs as foot rests. It is very fast (I've been up to 30 mph on it) and dangerous. It is a university research project and is not suitable for commuting.

  • really nice design ! cheap lead acid. so this is power assist right ?not just electric ?I see peddles but you dont demonstrate any peddling here. PEACE

  • its cool
