John CJG is deserving of academic study. I think he has lessons to teach us about learning to write screenplays through practise rather than actual education. There's such a clear and logical progression in his quality from Deus Ex Machina fowards... OLR is so weird right now, shifting from teenage soap drama to psycho thriller to whatever it is now, it's a fascinating example of something worthwhile and unique that you'd never get from trained screenwriters.
