in an age where terrorism knows no bounderies!!!! hahaha wtf when has terrorism known bounderies???? im pretty sure that if you are a terrorist your not gona have any bounderies when your out terrorising ppl haha take seagal 4 example hes a fackin terrorist to my enjoyment on movies
this movie made me think... what would have happened if the jets blew up the plane... would it have been kept secret from the public that it crash landed in the ocean somewhere? Now im thinking... WHAT HAPPENED TO AIR FRANCE!?!?!
I really wihed they made supsenful thrillers like this today, but unfortunatly Hollywood doesn't have the balls to take risks and modern filmmakers only care about CG action films with 3 explosions a minute.
If I ever make it in the filmmaking buisness I'm gonna show 'em how it's done!
when i saw this film... it happened to be a "special screening" to test audiences. and man... what a GREAT time we all had watching this film in theaters... it was just awesome. people laughing, gasping, cheering. not since the original Die Hard has people been so entertained together in the theater. It was awesome... and this movie will always be in my top favorate action films of all time. P.S. Seagal dying made it even cooler... that a badass could sacrifice himself for his team. really cool.
Outside of a paycheck.......I never understood why Seagal was in this movie to begin with......he was killed off early on and didnt do any martial arts scenes.......he was a big action star in the 90's, so why use him unless he was going to be in the entire film?
@dod3334 Yeah, I know live NINE lives! I think he should've played the Terminator in the 2nd movie lol! No, just kidding, but ass kickers like Steven Seagal need bigger roles. I think they would've made a sequel if he hadn't died. That plot point probably screwed with those chances. Overall, It was still a really good movie. I'm thinking if Steven Seagal's character was still alive, the movie would been over because he would've killed them all with his eagal powers!
@west93 Funny to say, in my TVguide this movie is on tonight, buts its announced as Critical decision... :S don't know what the difference is, ill check out IMDB
@west93 Executive Decision is the original name. The english/british name is Critical Decision. It say so on my old movie vhs cover like it says on imdb.
When you get absorbed into the film, particularly halfway through it... it feels as if Seagal wasnt even in it. And to those die hard fans who thought there was going to be an Under Siege 3...well this is about as far and close as it gets.
Did anyone notice that the airline company for both Executive Decision and LOST is Oceanic Airlines? And both planes are involved in airline disasters.
This movie came out last year, by the way the year is 1997 that I'm commenting, disregard the one day, one week, or one month ago time frame it lists.
Everyone thinks once Steve dies, than the film sucks... to me it adds to the suspense and creates more tension. They lost their leader, so they had to improvise with what they had... Brilliant movie even though it's typically far fetched. Kurt kicks arse even as a civvy suit..
@TCFan25 Thats what I thought! Lol! And you're right too, but you gotta be thinking, "Why is an ass kicker like Steven Seagal dead within like the first half hour of the movie?" It was still pretty good!
seagal dies in this movie what aload of crap

I wish that Steven Seagal was in this movie :)
You know he would do anything to stop the enemy
First in Under Siege 1
Seagal saved a U.S navy battle ship from terrorists
then in Under Siege 2
Seagal once again , saves the day by stopping a trainbound with terrorists
now if only Steven made it on board the jet :) Ohh this would of had a better ending with MORE ASS KICKING (:O()

who really didn't see seagal died in the movie.... The F117A broke apart but who knows, maybe he had a parachute or something else...
I'm just saying that seagal is HARD to KILL unless he kills himself...

I think he lived because he always lands on his feet like a cat.

This is a very good movie but it is hardly a Steven Seagal movie - since he dies within the first 15 minutes.

The writter and director screw the film killing Travis (Steve Seagal), Kurt Russel and him are a very explosive combination like Tango&Cash.
deepsofhell 2 years ago
Not really, I thought Kurt & Stallone were better. It's hard to believe Kurt & Leguizamo played drag queens.
TCFan25 2 years ago
Yea Tango and Cash was spot on...really was a great movie.
