Do you ever get instabilty when using the snozzle. Ive heard about a panther that went over on its side that had a snozzle monitor. The firies here would love them.
When used properly the snozzle is very stable as far as the vehicle is concerned. It is important to stay at low speeds and pay attention to your level gauge and alarms.
The snozzle boom itself can tend to be bouncy and shake the rig if you drive on rough terrain or do not maneuver slowly.
@arffrossco and the ARFF trucks are larger that your average municipal apparatus, and the snozzle is a lot lighter than ladders and towers... so instability isn't much of an issue i think
@joek0617 Municiple type pumps cant pump at 5000lpm but. Thats a lot of pressure. Thinking about it a bit more the boom would fail before the truck would go over.
