Man, they've gotten to be such a better live band in the past five years. I mean, they weren't bad back then, but the simultaneous precision and lushness that they have now just isn't there in this video.

A lot of drummers play barefoot. It helps to have a really tactile feel for the pedal. Anyways, as a drummer myself I agree that the drummer is great. He's really a big part of the success of the bands music.

I went to see them in London a fortnight before - it was so easy to get right to the front and talk to them afterwards. Best gig I've ever been to.
