Easily one of my favorite video games ever...the broadcasters were hilarious, and the presentation was great...Don Taylor should be brought back as a broadcaster for the NHL series so I can hear for more of his strange commentary.

I still like the '99 version the best. After that 2002. '99 had it all but could improve on graphics. 2002 had the graphics and arcade style fun gameplay. So after this the game basically got better graphicaly but lost the fun completely. Why didn't they stop at 2002? Money I guess.

I still say that whenever anybody says incredible to this day. Mostly its not funny but it reminds me of this game. The announcing with the chipmunk voices on PS2 made it that much better. I still remember the one announcer leaving during the middle of the period to go get snacks, lulz.

I've been playing NHL games since I can remember and this one is one of my favs.

NHL 2002 was the second of the NHL series I bought (first being 2001 for PS1). I bought it for PS2 and was probably one of the best versions of the game for its time. The commentary was pretty funny with Don Taylor; at times could've been more serious, but it was good. I remember they'd actually comment more on things though, like injuries and goalie changes. Got NHL 08 on PC and it doesn't do any of that. I wish EA would just combine all the good things and sell it, instead of taking out stuff.

Nice one. From '99 till '02 the NHL games wer the best. It's funny the commentator always says a player's name twice to emphatize it. Like 'Broodeur makes the safe! Brodeuur saves it'! Instead of 'Brodeurr makes the save!'. Hee saves it!' aheh.
