Very true. because my Minor is Chinese Civilizations and i'm half burmese half chinese. Mongols are very different from Chinese in language and culture
fri, that is not true, burma was not a part of china. but some regions on the border between china and burma were long long ago vassals of chinese king. According to history i hav read, china never ruled over burma.
this is common misunderstanding tht chinese people have ... why would you ever think like that ? Is that what you guys learn in China? Coz I get that a lot from Chinese people.
Burma is an independent country of its own ... It was never part of China.
And another point is Burmese People doesn't speak Chinese. It's a country with its own culture and people.
This is great but what is Aung San's plan for the future of Burma once (if ever) she takes power? I mean how will Burma control its liberalization process since there is so much to catch up in???
We are one indeed .. the land we walk on is one .. the sky above us is one and the air we breath is one in the same .. I'm so glad we share the same beliefs my great friend!
As a Bengali, I have always found Burmese culture, customs stunning. As a neighboring brother, I wish and hope someday Burma gets back to its normal state.
Thanks for subbing me, even though my videos have no meaning really, I love how you take me to places Ive never even been, Im amazed at diferent cultures, so much to learn from each other i think, brilliant video again Hans thanks for sharing with me.

I have many Burmese friends in Thailand Hans! They are wonderful people! This is an eye-opening video! 95% of Thailand's population follow the Theravada school of Buddhism. I know the teachings well. Fabulous work my Great Friend! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆! and Faved! Peace to You Always!~Ted
Wow, what a beautiful video! I've been horrified for years at the way the U.S. has supplied weapons/planes to a military dictatorship to enslave its own people!
Again, I was taken away to a faraway place, to a different culture, through your eyes! You put the most beautiful pictures and music in every video you do! Thank you Hans, for another wonderful video!
Beautiful video, beautiful culture and insight - I love culture!! Thank you for this! It shows a relation to the current state of Pakistan which is overruled by Military, and it's similar to what can happen in the U.S. because we give our military ENTIRELY too much power - the same reason Bhutto was fighting for her country.
Please tell me where I can find this song! You may want to put it in the description....It's a beautiful piece, I'm a dancer and would love to move to it.
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment .. The name of the song is: Alihan Samedov "Son Nefes" from the Buddha-Bar VIII CD, by Sam bot.
I loved that proverb too .. the ability to confine our anger allows us to SEE and therefore UNDERSTAND and consequently APPRECIATE! Thanks sunbeam for taking the time to watch and comment!

Your video and message are very educational and inspirational. It would be nice if world leaders took advantage of it and actually watched and learned! It brings into focus the ramifications of artificial divisions of peoples by foreign powers in the last century.
And the questionable need for an army as the enforcer of the status quo. The lesson for me is that this is the age of the emergence of third world countries. World leaders seem to
not have a clue as to what to do except sell weapons
Jack .. thank you for the insight and the words of wisdom my beloved friend .. I'm honored and humbled by your comment .. it will only inspire me to meet and exceed the standard of message you expect!
