Dude, its called doing their jobs...Ever heard of "officer safety"? If you were a Police Officer, which we all know would NEVER happen, you wouldn't want a man standing BEHIND you while you are conducting a traffic stop. Motor vehicle stops are dangerous enough, there is no need for other people causing the officer to panic. You have all you can deal with in the vehicle in front of you, no need for other bystanders they are just watching their backs. Get a clue man.

whats the issue here, whatever they stopped the 2 trucks for (well the box truck appears to have a shattered windshield for one thing) is none of your business. he did not insult you, he asked how you were doing and if he could help youwith something. point of fact is, he could have pushed the "whats your name issue...as you are required BY LAW to provide ID to a police officer merely for him(her) asking. they do not need a reason other than seeing you to ask for your ID. continued..

They're allowed to ask, you are not required to answer if you haven't committed a crime or they don't have probable cause. What was their probable cause to ask the gentleman recording for his I.D.? What law had he broken? I wouldn't answer as it's none of their F#$%ing business. SS#? Are you kidding? I wouldn't give that to anyone...period. They're public servants in a public place being filmed in the performance of their public duties. What's the issue with taping them? Many police committing crimes against the public have been brought to light in this manner. Do you think they're not taping us?

The police have too much power but are not worthy of such responsibility. Everyone should carry a video camera or camera phone and act like paparazzi when they see the police.

Unbelievable. Police wonder why the public (the people=the state=their employers) can't stand them. What was the reason for the attitude. He's out in public with no reasonable expectation of privacy. Just once it would be nice to hear one of these officers say (with a good attitude, "Good afternoon sir, can I assist you with something? No? We're in the middle of a routine traffic stop so please stay at a safe distance and don't impeded traffic. Thanks."
