  • One Like is not enough to say that you are the Fucking MASTER!!!! :D

    Greetings from Mexico... :D

  • @ulisesfer18 Gracias! I appreciate you checking this out and commenting.

  • Fantastic!!! I love it. This is one of my favourite Rolling Stones songs. This was one song I listened to religiously when we moved to the P.I. Sal, I listened to it everyday when I had to go to my new school as I felt like I was alienated and was very unhappy. This song helped me though. I'm glad you covered it!! :-)

  • @SQDLVR Well thanks Eman, that's good to hear and thank you for checking this one out. Yes, music can heal and soothe. Have you ever read the account in 1st or 2nd Samuel of the Bible of David being enlisted to play his lyre or some stringed instrument, by King Saul to soothe him?

  • @rhythmantic Sal, I haven't but I'll check it out. Thanks for the scripture recommendation! I really appreciate it! :-)

  • you are a fuckin' good drummer :D

  • @wekkki Cool man, thanks so much for checking it out.

  • You are the Best ! ! ! ! ! ! ! :)

  • @antreasdrumer Thanks, appreciate you sharing that. Keep drumming!

  • Sounding Great!

  • Oh, very good interpretation !! Congratulations !! I m a beginner drummer , very Good drum lesson !!

  • @GugaBateraRj Thank you, appreciate it. I'm glad my video helped you. Keep drumming and learning.

  • The big fill in the middle is amazing

  • Really good song, good cover aswell, man.

  • @TangerineWizard123 Thanks TangerineWizard.

  • Hey I'm a guitar player but man, I can appreciate some kick ass drum tracks! Keep it up!

  • @rockhaze Right on, man, thanks for stopping by.

  • Really inspiring video...getting my Roland in a week :D

  • @Robeban2 Wonderful, good for you. Thanks for watching.

  • Such a groovy beat.

  • This my favorite song to play because it's just so much fun. There are thousands of places you can put rolls in that song. Trying to get my band to play it though

  • it's cool to see some one of your age on the internet but it's even cooler to see them uploading video's where they kick ass!

  • @BoydMcCoy Thanks for your kind comments. I grew up with this music, so it's in my DNA, also, being a musician is not like being an athlete where one peaks at a certain age and goes downhill from there. As long as one has health, a musician just gets better and can continue to play just as energetically by using economy of strokes w/an experienced deep-pocketed groove. Thanks for watching & commenting, much appreciated.

  • @rhythmantic That was great, I loved it! I agree with you entirely about the age thing; I just got done watching the Stones do this and they are in their late 60s, and they still rock and look good doing it.

  • what sticks do u use

  • @XxEPICMAGIXxX On this cover I was using Vic Firth Jo Jo Mayer model. Their a bit shorter than most sticks.

  • now,how cool is that!!!???? :O :D

  • Thats what we call in Poland Passion and pure something that you can do it for yourself and every time when you go to sleep you know that you are getting older and you can still fuckin ROCK !

  • @patrykkucradiation Well that's the cool thing about being a musician, unlike an athlete who is finished after 35 or so, is that as long as you're healthy you can play until you die. Louis Bellson, Buddy Rich, and many others.

  • YOU RULE!!!

  • @BasFaber Thanks, I rarely ever write this, but be sure you subscribe if you think that I "rule". Thanks

  • You sound great !!!! I'm in a cover band & play lots of Stones songs but that's one I've never been able to figure out 100% & your video helped me. Is your right hand playing unbroken 8th notes all the time & what are you playing on the bass drum?. The figure/fil you play after "No more will my green sea...." part; is that exactly what' Charlie Watts plays? Bottom line is you captured the essence of the song.

  • @scamp3464 Thanks, appreciate it. Ride hand is straight 8ths. Bass drum (verse: 4 on the floor; chorus: 1 and and 3). "No more will my green sea...." part - I'm improvising in that part. This is one of those tunes I'd like to do over just to change the tone of the toms. I don't like that hi-tom, oh well! Snare, hats, & bass sound solid though. Thanks again for using my videos as tutorials and good going with your learning the songs.

  • You drum, Igor Presnyakov (iggypress) guitar, I think there's a future in that combination.

  • dude you're fucking good!

  • @TheMrTezzer Thanks dude

  • Amazing man, this has really helped, I'm not into this genre of music but my mates have invited me into their band and this is a song they play. I've been having trouble but now I can play it :)

  • @SubRosaSpear Excellent, I'm pleased to hear that my videos serve other drummers like yourself. Thanks for sharing that.

  • 1:26 nice miss.

  • @mantops3 You are correct in detecting an undesired hit, but actually it's not a miss but the wrong drum used on the crash, it should have been bass/crash, not snare/crash, hence the face I made. Thanks for your critical watching.

  • get a real drum set

  • @adrian129er I have a Gretsch and Pearl acoustic drum sets, and access to 2 Yamaha kits and 1 Mapex kit. I've played acoustic drums for 47 years, and edrums for about 2 years, and I'm just digging the ease of recording and having the ability to trigger so many brand name drum kits and sounds. It's awesome, oh, and I could play in an apartment at any hour without disturbing the neighbors.

  • @rhythmantic To which I must say, an electric set would be great as I can only play during the day and even then with annoying mutes attached everywhere. I'm not a huge fan of electric drums, but these sound very good and my whole point of visiting was to see your take on Paint it Black, which I thought sounded great.

  • @thelittlesthobbit Thanks for watching and for digging the cover. I've been an acoustic drum set player for over 47 years, edrums are better than no drums. They also have many advantages, one as you noted, that acoustic ones do not. Dug your vid on the vampire slayer kit. I don't know what to make of it, but a person who subbed to me at the same time you checked out my vid was a fan of Bela Lugosi, two ends of the spectrum, one loves 'em, one slays 'em.

  • @rhythmantic I was looking for a little 'advice' on how to approach the song. I just practiced again with much better success, thanks to you. Just starting a new band and learning some covers. Haha, that Vampire kit. I'm glad I made it, but I'm too much of a perfectionist, so the price is too high for any normal weirdo to buy it. I actually do like vampires, I had many requests to make a kit. I'm sure people were thinking of something far simpler and cheaper. Oh well.

  • @thelittlesthobbit It really pleases me that other drummers like yourself use my videos as tutorials. Please check out my other videos, there are about 325, mostly covers. There's a Search engine on my channel page, so just type in a song title or band/artist name when you need an example of a cover. Gosh you made that kit, very good, very good job demoing it too. And good luck with your cover band.

  • @rhythmantic Thanks, I will surely look you up in the future if I'm stumped again. I've already saved you in my favorites. I could have used YouTube back in the 80's when I was first playing, it's an invaluable tool. Thanks for the luck, I'm hoping the band will work out.

  • I like your grip =D

  • @GrugLikesJars Thanks for watching.

  • well done

  • @danielsuelmann Thanks. I like your cover of this too. You got a good round deep powerful sound and solid groove on it.

  • nice electric set, played with good time and very few mistakes. sounds good!

  • i have the same electric drums what kit is it

  • @jmreviews5 It's the TDW-20 module w/TD-12 pads & VH-12 hi-hat. I'm triggering Addictive Drums for this cover so it's not the stock sounds of Roland V-Drums. Thanks for watching.

  • And thank You I ment to say lol

  • thanks for showing the RIGHT WAY TO PLAY IT!!!

you are the only one that i have seen that plays it right !!

Hats off to you Man ! and that you Peace

  • @LarryStephenson Thank you for watching & your encouraging comments.

  • from one drummer to another your one the best ive seen

  • @jmreviews5 Wow, thanks, that is nice to hear. I appreciate you checking it out. I haven't seen this video in a while, last time I did it had just a few hundred views, so it's good to see it getting viewed. Thanks.

  • best cover of this song on youtube. finally someone with the right feel!

  • @zildjiancam Thanks, I appreciate you kind words. Yea, it's about the groove, Charlie is a groovemeister.

  • sick drummer.

But i hate electric drums -.-

  • @lgalovic1 Thanks...I think!? I've played acoustic drums for over 47 years and I'm diggin' VDrums, I have access to 1000's of kits through just one, can't do that with acoustics, plus they are easy to record and audio mix and I don't disturb anyone, and particularly with sampled software, sound great.

  • dude fantastic cover unreal...leathel drumer lol =]

  • @mockingbird889 Thanks for checking it out.

  • @rhythmantic cud listen to yah all day ....lol see ur drum kit....its roland yea ..?

  • @mockingbird889 Thanks, yes, Roland VDrums TDW-20 brain w/TD-12 pads & VH-12 hat and I think I was triggering an Addictive Drums kit on this track.

  • Wow you r sick !! such a great drummer :) !!

  • @JadeD608 Yo, thanks dude!

  • hey you are fantastic!!! are you playing in a band? If yes, how long are you playing drums?

It's a pity that I can't watch your nirvana and your brown sugar cover cause of UMG... This one is great!!

  • @PhillyTalent Thanks so much for your encouraging comments and for viewing my video. I've been playing for 47 years, starting the same year The Beatles came to America. Yes, I'm surprised you can view any of my videos in Germany, they all appear to be blocked there. Very stupid, it hurts the artist/band/publishing that visibility of their music is getting blocked and thereby more money if someone buys their songs because of my cover. I'm not making money off their music.

  • @rhythmantic dude your awesome

  • @TheSteelersManiac Thanks dude, appreciate it you checking out my video.

  • Another classic and fab to see the drums in focus on this as well as all your drum tracks watching you play is just great! What is the timing measure on this one?

  • @sbbinahee Thanks again. It's in 4/4. The drums intro that comes in after the beginning sitar/guitar passage does not get its time/pulse from it and so that's why I'm looking at the computer screen to see where the waveform (of the drum intro) begins so I know when to come in.

  • cool cover Sal!

  • @rockerr12595 thanks Kevin.

  • waoooo, Charlie Watts is back. J'adore !!!!!!!

  • @DUPONCHEL13111974 Yea, Charlie's the man!

  • this is a good song. I love how you did the drum fills.

  • @guitarman64100 Thanks guitarman. I appreciate you being there and checking out the videos. Keep drumming dude!
