  • hello Brandon,

Ive just received a bottle of he shou wu capsules from hyperionherbs, should this be refrigerated or kept at room temp ? Thank you !

  • @eyehateevil1 just keep it at room temp, no prob =]

  • Thanks for this! How long would you say one needs to take he shou wu before noticing any effects? I occasionally make a tonic from full chips of he shou wu I get in China and occasionally add the powdered form to smoothies but can't say I find much of a difference in internal feeling. Do you think it needs to be taken daily over a long period, or occasionally also has its benefits?

  • Great video!! Can u tell me the model camera u use, and the type of wireless mic you used? It's performance is fantastic, I find.

    ^_^

  • Hey,

Is He Shou Wu the same as or different from Ho Shou Wu?

    Thanks

  • @StephenCavanaghclips yes indeed, they are the same

  • @herbgardner00 Thanks.

  • Hello Herbgardener! I was just thinking about the potential risk of addiction to these herbs or withdraw from them like that of any other drug.

Could you shed some light on this issue? Thanks you. Peace.

  • @NickBoFoSho there's no risk or evidence for either of those things

  • why is the camera keep moving? theirs no point , ur staying in one area..

  • @XxPinoyBroxX tell that to the camera...

  • @herbgardner00 lol, u tell the camera. aha

  • @XxPinoyBroxX i guess camera is setted up to follow the move of his fae.Kinda pointless, though

  • Whats on your shirt?

  • @zuphu mailchimp :)

  • Do you have any personal corroborration of the effectiveness of this supplement on mood? I've never heard of anyone taking it for that reason. I'd expect if it works well for this then many of the people who are on it would mention this bonus side effect but I've never seen that. Sounds like you're saying it's sort of like St John's wort which is another supp I found no effect at all while taking it.

  • @germanicelt Yeah I found a nice sized book at the health food store entirely about Rhodiola. I also found a few free pdf files online. The tyrosol compound in Rhodiola increases the production of something called "bio-film" which protects cells in the body and boosts the immune system.

  • I'm guessing that Mucuna combined with He Shou Wu would increase potency as the Mucuna makes the body produce more Dop which the He Shou Wu would then increase it's utilization.

  • I still have yet to try He shou wu but today I bought some Rhodiola and some Gotu Kola. From what I hear rhodiola is also adaptogenic and does pretty much the same thing.

  • @SuperCozmos Rhodiola is a great herb for physical and mental stress and mood uplifting. It also can have an aphrodisiac effect.

  • Hey can you post a link to this study or just give me the title? I would like to read the actual scientific study that you based your article on. I'm a pre-MD student who is committed to combining herbalism with conventional medicine in an integrative approach and I love to read articles such as these. I thought I posted this question already but it seems it was deleted?

  • @AnotherYourself72 i cant post links on youtube, but if you get in touch w me via email or facebook and i can give you the resources.

  • What mic are you using?

  • dude you move like water it's makin me motion sick lol are you a mime or something

  • Dude, who are you? I want to know you.

  • Amazing Stuff

  • Thank you that is what I have been using.

  • Also, a video on how to prepare He Shou Wu.

  • @awilder7 I get mine at Jing Herbs. I was wondering how much I should put in my tonics?

  • @wjrsb58 1/2 - 1 tsp 1-2x per day of the extract powder

  • Would you recommend this herb for someone who's living with one kidney? I lost my right kidney to cancer 7 years ago, and I'm always concerned about my kidney function in general. If not, is there something else that would be better for this situation? (When you get a chance. I see you've got a lot of questions)

  • @AceSkepTik i would recommend working with a local practitioner on that.

  • what would happen if someone were to take this herb regularly for about a month or so and then stop? would there be any noticable affects?

  • @nikko3147 the effects of herbs typically dont stop if you stop taking them, but again there are many variables here. your own metabolism, current issues, how long it was taken, and many other lifestyle variables. hope that helps

  • do we need to take any precautions with MAO-inhibitors?

  • @fitze285 if you are taking any prescription then id recommend consulting a local practicioner on the matter.

  • This is great info. Where can i purchase He Shou Wu from online

  • @Awilder7 check hyperion herbs

  • valerian, l-theanine, dmae

  • mucuna, he shou wu, 5-htp, kava kava, tyrosine

  • This is interesting because my dad's side of the family all have grey hair and most of them suffer from kidney problems. Is their a link here?

  • cant wait to get some!

  • I hope this gets on the front page

  • @zps272 me too

  • Good video, nice background as well. Do you know any good chinese music like on your intros?

  • @ushilives3 hmm, yeah look up zeng chengwi on itunes

  • Thank You Herb, Do You Know Where Can I Purchase He Shou Wu. Like The Actual Genuine Thing Online Or In Any Store. Thank You And I Would Really Appreciate Your Response. Great Vid.

  • @Phillyzbadboy420 yes, check hyperion herbs or the link below the video.

  • It's interesting that He Shou Wu was originally considered a liver tonic which speaks to it's ability as a blood tonic. He Shou Wu is an amazing herb that does so many things - blood tonic, kidney jing replenisher, shen stabilizer, heart protector, etc.. As a matter of fact, I'm just about to enjoy a tonic beverage with my 2 fave tonics at the moment - Astragalus and He Shou Wu. This simple combo has an energizing yet calming effect that always accentuates my qigong practice and day in general.

  • Have you been using the same camera? The picture look very interesting and good.

  • @TheMegaJaytee yeah its the same camera, just still getting the feel for it and what it can do.

  • Do i get it in China town NYC?

  • @ENAIRAMA1 you can probably find it bulk, in which case you would have to make a tea, which likely may not be as potent.

  • liking the outside setting very much, you live in a beautiful place!

  • @BishTV yes indeed, there are many beautiful parks around here!!

  • Suspense!

  • @Synchronicitizen mmmhmmmm

  • Cant wait for the next video about this!

  • @eriatarka43 yes, it is in the works as we speak!

  • Mr Black Haired Crow! I'm glad to see your incorporation of this character, it's been a real help in the apothecary. Your explanation of neurotransmitters is very eloquent and concise, I'll be keeping this link on hand as a resource.

  • @skorchedutopia thanks for watching ;D

  • You got some crazy arm steez yo!

  • @illnastic lol

  • is a prescription needed? is it common to find in herbal stores? is it pricey?

  • @fivedollarsworth check hyperion herbs

  • Great information thank you for your time and effort.

  • @startingfromcenter thanks for watching!

  • What do you recommend for someone with an irregular heartbeat trying to come off beta blockers? I've heard some great things about hawthorn berry and have starting implementing it into my regimine, but is there anything else more potent that one could take?

  • @MrAria44: This is one of those things that you should find a personal practitioner for. A lot of things could be cascading from/to an irregular heartbeat.

  • @MrAria44 i would recommend working with a local practitioner on that.

  • Whats the dosage for the herb?

  • This is amazing information about He Shou Wu, Brandon! Thank you so much. I appreciate your in-depth understanding and experience. Also, loving the background in your video. A gorgeous color of sky. Beautiful and enigmatic. Thanks again :)

  • Very insightful video, i go through a kilo of 10 to 1 extract every 5 months.

Mood elevation is definately one of the major postives of this Herb.

  • At first I thought the title was shoo wop shoo wop baby.

  • @faheeta heheh

  • Very interesting. Like @theslothmonkey, I'm caregiver for a Parkinson's patient, too, and anything related to dopamine regulation perks my ears up. However, I've read about potential negative effects of interactions between MAOIs and the main Parkinson's drug, l-dopa. But, who knows? Maybe natural He Shou Wu acts differently from synthetic MAOIs? Looking forward to your further reports, @herbgardner00. Keep up the great work!

  • Great Video

Which is the best Ho Shou Wu product? which company to buy from? and in what form (Tablet or Liquid)?

    Thanks

  • @piushr check hyperion herbs

  • Thanks Dude, that was very interesting.

  • @sonicliberation thanks for watching =]

  • Wow what an incredible video presentation. Makes me realize even moreso what a debt of gratitude I owe Brandon (herbgardner00). His past videos made me aware of the herb mucuna pruriens which has noticeably helped my family members deal with Parkinson's disease. Now this video may help them further, not to mention other avenues of its use that I may explore. Thank you Brandon!

  • @theslothmonkey thanks for watching, glad to help

  • Bt7 bio tunner, micro cosmic orbit meditation, spring forest qi gong, ionic foot baths, Dr bob becks blood electrification, ho shu woo foe ti did not give me the results i needed , clean the body its will be more responsive to the herb, also running creates new dopamine receptors, make sure your getting a healthy protien shake aswell, if you want to try whey but your alergice , youtube . emontional freedom tecqnices to tap out the allergy....good luck , do your own research

  • Can I still take Ho Shou Wu if I take an SSRI. heard theres a reaction between MAOIs and SSRIs

  • @jacobh849 i would recommend working with a local practitioner on that.

  • What are some recommended companies or brands for herbal supplements?

  • @TaoKeenan check hyperion herbs

  • Also- I thought the Ayahuasca vine, Banisteriopsis caapi, had the strongest MAOI-A and MAOI-B inhibition properties--- I had no idea about He Shou Wu- that is awesome! Maybe there is a way to make an ayahuasca brew with it :-)

  • Such an amazing herb... Thanks for such a concise and informative video :)

  • @ThreeTreasureTonic yes indeed, its one of the greats!
