The single greatest thing they ever did to SRW was give you the option to assign character theme songs. I made this the theme for probably 10 different characters. God help us all if we're ever able to upload our own music into the game. Shit would be so awesome.
Perhaps not alike, but the opening riff reminds me of opening riff of the OVA Cybuster Theme.
Despite being generally terrible, the OG 2.5 OVA had some awesome big damn heroes moments in Cybuster's appearance and ZENGAR ZOMBOLT, AKU WO TATSU TSURUGI.
...it also has the only version of Trombe that sucked.
@KingLazerman After playing both 'Black Stanger' and 'Neppu! Shippu! Cybuster!' backwards in Audacity I can safety say that since they sound nothing alike, no, it isn't.
Considering that, as I already said, I've played both 'Neppu! Shippu! Cybuster!' and 'Black Stranger' backwards to see if Masaki's theme would sound anything like Asakim's theme, and vice-versa (Which they didn't), yes, I am fairly sure they sound nothing alike. Odd, considering that Asakim is more than likely an alternate universe Masaki (which that one attack and the fact that Asakim's name is an anagram of Masaki's name both strongly suggest), but that's neither here nor there.
the beginning sound kinda like when cybuster song played when he made his entrance in the ova 2nd episode
