We have a hula halau (school) that needs a simple way to do "missionary style" blouses. We have to do a lot of them so your video is so very much appreciated. Mahalo (Thank you in Hawaiian)
How do you cut the pattern to make the sleeves that shape where when you hold your arms up, it looks sort of like a triangular. I'm not sure how to describe what I'm talking about, but I'm sure you must know. what shape do you cut the sleeves to get that look? HELP!
I'm planning on making a shirt for myself (Male) and I think this gives me the basics on how to get started... though I still need to find out how to make a Mens Renaissance style shirt instead of a womens blouse, but I plan to use your "trace around the shirt" Idea because it just seems smart xD
thank you soo much, very easy to understand and just what I was looking for to make a snow white costume :-)

If I wanted to make a cropped version of this blouse, would I just do the same thing I would have to do for the sleeves to the bottom?

what type of material did you use?
akasha21egypt 2 years ago
It was a thin cotton material that I picked up at Walmart. I tend to look for fabric that is soft and not too stiff when I make a blouse.

I wish I would have watched this earlier because I just wasted a whole bunch of fabric just messing around!

thats really pretty I would never have thought of using yarn, soooo much easier then trying to fiddle on with elastic.
Are you going to be making more videos?

This blous would look beautiful with some emboidery on it. I'm going to try it. Thanks for the idea.

That would look nice. I wish I was better at embroidery. Good luck on the blouse.
