Love it, love it , love it. it's all about lip synching, it's so good and that's mostly why Anime Studio Pro makes the difference. It's better than all other 2d programs.
Anime Studio is great but I admit it takes time to learn. Sometimes the arrows in the bones confuse me and I have to check if they are right. Anime Studio is great with animations but just know it might take time to learn. I love your animation. I got anime studio first then Flash. At first anime studio is confusing, The character will go wacky because I didn't know about the arrows or the bind tool. Then I found a tutorial for anime studio.
Great work man, I''m trying to do a sparkster flash on this programme but don't know what to do, My animation's getting better but I haven't attempted a flash yet, really stuck.
@Kasen717 In my opinion, no. There's no need to upgrade, unless you do a LOT with text or 3D. Anime Studio Pro 6 has a habit of crashing if you do text. Everyone who's used Anime Studio Debut 6 or Pro 6 should know to save their file before even attempting to add text. In version 7, though, adding text is a very smooth process. So much so, I use Anime Studio Pro 7 for most of my graphics needs, creating banners for websites and stuff.
As far as physics goes, it's great - IF you're animating in 2D without a 3D perspective (like Super Mario Bros or Pacman). If you're animating in 2D like Phineas and Ferb or Family Guy you're going to have to really be creative in your scenes to get it to work, and even then it'll only be able to be applied to some things in the scene (again, my opinion from experience - perhaps there's a workaround I don't know about, but I doubt it).
@CartoonLearning Hi, I have three question. Can you view multiple frames in Anime Studio Pro 6? Are you proficient with Toon Boom or Flash? Which one of the three above mentioned do you think is most appropriate for a short film in 2D animation? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
@Kasen717 Yes you should because you can record your voice instantly on Anime Studio 7 to match your character's mouth. Too bad i didn't know until after I bought Anime Studio 6!!!
I bought Anime Studio about a month ago and I seriously cannot remember regretting a purchase so much. This is easily the worst software I have ever used
i have the same program and i love it. made my first real skit just 2 days ago. still trying to figure out how to do things like move the head and mouth at the same time while animating the mouth to talk.
Hi, i downloaded anime studio pro 7. But i just cant save my animations :( . If you could please give me the serial number for: "Anime studio pro 7" that will be just GREAT!! :D Thnx
That was horrible!! "more traffice=more money"???? Wow lol but still im going to sub you since that was funny as hell. I will give in to the supply demand relationship you seek and i dont want anything in return because you did a very good job with the anime studio debut program, that program had me stumped for the longest time. I congratulate your efforts in making a awesome anime. Subbed great job!!
Hey, about the whole 'luminousity, hue, color, etc.' stuff, how would I use those in a practical sense? I tried looking up all those layer blending modes online, but the explanations went over my head.
Also, what is masking?
And when I try to reduce a layer's opacity, it doesn't do so.
The fun thing about Anime studios is that it wont show the effects until you either render the current frame or export it entirely. So to make sure your doing the animation right you have too constantly render to see how it will look in the end.
@TheRedMoonProject It seems to happen SOMETIMES in Anime Studio 7, but only sometimes- not sure why it does that. I'm guessing it's to save processor power.
@MrMarcbot 99% of the time you need to double-click your audio file in the layers tree, click the audio tab, and reset your source audio to the correct file. If, for some reason, you changed the location of your audio file after starting a project, this will always happen. AS will have a non-existent location for its source. Occasionally, it will do it on its own.
i have been trying to make custom mouth/lips and i cant figure it out..i know i need to make a group but when i make a group folder then start to drawall my lips look the same i draw open mouth...then close but my switch wont swith show me from scratch
How are you animating the cartoon guy's mouth? I don't know how to animate mouth movements without making the character look like a chewing cow. Maybe I just don't understand all the features of anime studio debut 6, but the animation seems simple compared to hyperstudio or adobe flash cs5 or whatever. Sorry if this is a weird question for you.
@jemmaNkremma My bone rig tutorials are pretty thorough on my website and should answer your question. After you've watched them, if you're still having problems, let me know.
Hi. I just started using Anime Studio, but I've run into a problem. I created a character, but for whatever reason, as the animation plays, she starts turning from gray (her default color) to black (the background color, if that makes a difference). Any advice?
@ChesCaJ Debut or Pro version? If Pro, messing around with a STYLE's color on a keyframe other than zero will change the color and not make a keyframe dot to represent the change.
If you're not far into your animation, select ANIMATION>CLEAR ANIMATION FROM DOCUMENT. (Warning: This will remove everything you've already animated in this file!)
If either version, did you paint something a different color on a keyframe other than zero?
@sparkesthehedgehog It's a programming file you would create yourself or download.
If you have an annoying backgound, then you aren't creating transparent background .png files. You have teh ability to create non-transparent and transparent background with Photoshop, but the benefit of using .png is that we're able to separate the body part from the background. You can download some free ones from my website and try importing them into Anime Studio. See if they act differently.
Hey, i love your animations! But, its just that, i bought the ANIME STUDIO debut 6,right? I already installed it and i want to animate now! I tried to look for the anime studio 6 program in my computer to animate right away, but i dont know where to find my program. Where do you find your Anime studio 6? Documents? games?
I don't know. You didn't give me any necessary info. You would have chosen where to put it. If you have Vista, it's under "all programs" by default. If you can't find it, do a search of your program files. If you have a Mac, maybe one of my Mac user viewers can help you. Sorry, but Mac's are unfamiliar territory for me.
Don't talk unless you know what your talking about! There IS a difference between anime and animation (P.S your characters suck check mine out on content paradise)
anime can be drawing on paper or with vector layers on a computer, but they don't move. animation is playing a series of images in a cycle to create the illusion of movement. DUH.
DUH, what kind of question is that. it depends on how you draw your character and if they're speaking japanese its ANIME. And anime is animation so u cant say "not just animations" cuz its makes no sense.
Sounds like a scam, but I'm not going to judge before I find out for myself.
Anyway, I've been trying to figure out how to use Anime Studio 6 for some time and I couldn't get the Bones to work right. They just wouldn't connect. But I guess I'll check the site to see if there's a tutorial on that.
No. It's no scam, and I'm not selling anything. It's just a tutorial for people who are new to the internet and online advertising. It's basic business. If you can offer something that people want and draw a crowd, you can make money.
Bones don't connect with other bones. They manipulate layers and/or points, depending on how you've set them up. It's all described in the manual that comes with the program. Just click your "HELP" tab, then click "HELP" again for the manual.
I've had a lot of requests for that, but it would require compressing about a day's worth of work (for a good character) into a 3 minute video.
Let me work on it, and I'll see what I can come up with.
I'll tell you this much; it's all about putting one piece on top of another. Also, creating one thing, like hands and eyes, and reusing them for each character.
After using it for a couple months, I could create South Park style characters in about 30 minutes from scratch. I think this video took me a few days from the time I bought Anime Studio until I got the video posted, but I have a little experience dabbling with some other animation programs.
If you download characters for use, you can put together a video pretty quickly.
I use a Wacom tablet to draw my vector art in AS. You could also draw in Photoshop and import it, but I wouldn't recommend it. The vector art is sensitive to tablet pen pressure, so you can feather your edges.
i have one question about Anime Studio Debut 6 i got it for my birthday yesterday and i have been to put the blue fire ball in the animation but all that shows up is a picture that has little shapes in it do you know what the problem is?
Of the programs I've used, I'm extremely impressed with Anime Studio Debut 6. It's very intuitive, and can allow me to put together a cartoon very fast.
Yes, you can import jpg, bitmaps, png, etc. You can also import video. Of all the programs I've used, it's my favorite, so far. It's intuitive, renders fast, and I love all the little details, like being able to add shadows to things. You can't beat it for the price!
It is awesome! But I can't figure out what format is needed to get vids in the background....(then again it's only been a few days since I've started working with it...i can't even do bones yet!)
I just recently got this software, but I can't use it until I get a laptop...can you put real pictures as background? Can you animate over live video too? I just want to know so I can be prepared for it
Love it, love it , love it. it's all about lip synching, it's so good and that's mostly why Anime Studio Pro makes the difference. It's better than all other 2d programs.
By the way, thanks for all your tutorials.
