Having driven the GTR,and having owned 4 Porsches over the years, a 83 930 Turbo, 88 RUF turbo Cab, 89 964 C4 cab, 90 C2, I'd buy the GTR if I planned to keep it for any length of time. There is no argument that since Carlos Ghosn has been CEO of Nissan, his involvement has helped produce one the worlds great performance cars, and why anybody would want to tune further is a bit of a drop kick in my opinion. The GTR is an amazing hand built low volume production car and will continue to evolve.
This guy annoys me due to his obsession with double clutch transmissions. Why is he groaning about the "gear change" of a manual? Driving isn't all about lap times. It's about how a car makes you feel, and a double clutch will never be as rewarding as a manual.
But the GTR if you're one of those hipster fags that gloats about 0-60's and 'Ring lap times. Buy the R8 V10 if you appreciate style, luxury, and a great driver's car.

Although I always enjoy car comparisons, you cannot compare a V10 Audi R8 to two cars with powerful V6 engines. Plus it can be fair to say that the Porsche and GT-R were equal, it all depends on the driver. One might like the feel for one over the other. You can't end this 5 minute video by saying the GT-R is the fastest. I need more data.
all of them are great cars and thus I don`t understand why people have to argue about which is better all the time. In reality, all of them are nothing more than toys. @19danflo 9th of December 2009... it was unveiled at the 2009 frankfurt auto show, so it would have been known, but those 3 were already in production, whereas the sls began production in mid 2010. also the sls costs 65k more than those others, and had almost 70bhp more. So its also a class above the r8, porsche turbo and gtr.
Sure is GT-R is cheaper and faster but the other cars are worth it. You would really trade the heritage, quality, and looks for some rice rocket? Fuck that man.

Nissan GTR is a fantastic everyday motor. In the real World in tricky conditions its the safest car as well as the fastest. As much as I love the Porsche and the Audi the GTR would be my choice. Being half the price also helps :-)

the GTR is an amazing car. the only thing it doesnt excel at between the others is its looks. Dont get me wrong, it looks nice, however the R8 looks more like a super car and the porsche, well, looks like a porsche. if all 3 were parked together, the gtr would probably be stolen last.

@stickdiggler Have you seen a GTR on road? It does stand out. A Porsche looks like any other Porsche whether a 911 turbo or a Boxster. So, it doesn't stand out much.

@computerized01 yes i have, a GTR stands out in the same kind of way a dodge challenger stands out, it stands out but doesnt have that $130k (CAD) super car presence. the porsche, well, looks like a porsche. everyone knows that look. and the r8 has that billionaire class presence and attitude like tony stark

@19danflo 9th of December 2009... it was unveiled at the 2009 frankfurt auto show, so it would have been known, but those 3 were already in production, whereas the sls began production in mid 2010. also the sls costs 65k more than those others, and had almost 70bhp more. So its also a class above the r8, porsche turbo and gtr.

you can compare a c63 or m3 to a gt-r.

@SaucyLikeTabasco agree. Audi & Porsche are worth their cost, the Nissisan is just that, a nissan. it looses HALF of its cost as soon as you drive it off the dealer lot, is as problematic as a Yugo. its a disposable car.

@Yavoesz eh to me it's all about the thrill I won't put any nation above another I mean I probably buy more japanese cars than others but mainly because they are affordable and cheap aftermarket to take out some big dogs around the track, I love muscle cars but I also love time attack and they aren't rounding a track quick enough to even take out a mildly modded miata but that roar when you put your foot down still makes me melt lol

Just goes to show that just because you have a butt load of money doesn't make you the best or the fastest. If this thing did have a v8 it would be unstoppable in any venue. I however don't like flappy paddle gear boxes, I feel it takes the meaning and fun out of driving in the first place.
