I cannot afford implants at this time. I was told that I cannot do anything until the bones around my teeth have strengthened.. I was told that my enamel is soft so I am going to a professional to resolve this problem.
thanks for this video,i was feeling old cause i need some at the bottom of my mouth, but you're actually younger than me and you can live with it so why can't i. like you i cant afford implants but hopefully in the future i will. i might get the snap in partials still thinking
I just found out today that after years of neglecting my teeth I have bone loss in one front tooth and will have to get a flipper. I came home and found your video instantly. Thank you for doing this. It's giving me a little encouragement that life after a flipper will be OK. I go in next week to have an impression made, then the week after that I will go in, have the tooth removed and my flipper will be ready to wear out of the office.
@Xtina3815 actually a flipper is flipping horrible, they are actually pretty eady to misplace lose or break when not in the mouth, you cant eat with them and you cant sleep with them because they mess with your jaw. Cant swim messes with your speech and if you play any wind instruments you wont be able to do anything like that anymore. so pretty much the worst possible option
my sister had a flipper in it sucks really bass um you cant eat hard food or like chew gum if you dont leave it in everyday thenwhen you finnaly put it in it hurtss reallyy bad likee no flipper she"s geetin clip on smile
Thats great you have a flipper instead of implants. I agree that having a partial is a lot cheeper than a fixed tooth. I have a front tooth thats yellow because I have gum disease. It has not came out yet but it might later on. Your video is inspiring. Thanks for posting
@Kmaskable At first since you are not used to the thickness of it being in your mouth you may have a lisp for a while. Keep it in and once you get used to talking with it in then your speech becomes natural. I am so used to my flipper being in that when I take it out is when i have difficulty with my speech.
thanks 4 sharing ur story I have a large gap and due to the shifting it's gotten wider and I've lost bone so they told that I have to pull both of my front teeth and start off with flippers so thanks U made me feel better hopefully it works 4 me my cost will b around 700 bucks mayb I need 2 shop around
I used to make crowns and bridges. My advice to everyone is to have the teeth restored in your mouth and AVOID AVOID AVOID having good teeth ground down or removed for bridges or crowns!! 95% of dentists SUCK at preparing teeth for crowns. The false teeth are ALWAYS a compromise and usually more bulky than the natural teeth around them (due to the crown's metal with porcelain). Unfortunately, you can spot them from a mile away as well.
Does it feel like there's something foreign in your mouth? I mean, does it really feel like there's something artificial in your mouth all the time, or does it feel natural? I have to get a flipper soon, and I'm absolutely TERRIFIED! :(
i am so jealous of you! i wish i had your smile... it's so perfect! i love it!
but the most jealousy thing for me is the missing two front teeth! really! i have my natural teeth, but i'd really be happier if they were fake so i could take them out whenever i want!
i just love the way the huge gap looks... if i had the chance, i'd find a dentist to pull them, so i could keep them intact!
I had two root canals done, one front tooth ( Incisors) and canine. I don't like the work that was done. I had braces as a teen. My teeth were straight. I had another accident which my bottom teeth went crooked. THIS IS BAD. All I can say is that you have a beautiful smile. No one can detect a flipper. I need a bridge for my bottom teeth. I also want my front tooth and canine done over. SMILE. Don't hide your SMILE. PERFECT SMILE.
i just lost my two front teeth, due to the bone above my mouth breaking and they came out from the root.....im just wondering how long it took to get your flipper after getting impressions of your gums ?
I agree, your new teeth look great! Congratulations, you can really be happy. Nobody can tell they're fake. Are those cavities in your back teeth? Does wearing a flipper make you more prone to cavities?

I looked at your video again and was just wondering if you got your permanent plate now? If so, how about making a new update?
