Wow, that's sad when wrestling fans of today can't even react to one of the greatest wrestlers ever to enter the square circle. Those who were in attendance at MSG for this show didn't even give a big pop for Hot Rod. Goes to show you how much wrestling has changed...for the worst!

I hear what you're sayin - he did get a reaction, but it wasn't great. But let's face it - Piper hasn't been truly entertaining (in MY opinion) since the very early 90s. He's been in and out ever since, and never really connected with the fans (something he used to be very good at) for many years.

It's like half of the audience didn't even know who he was - but that's understandable if they're under 20 years old, if you ask me.

Wait til Bret comes back, Jan 4th - he'll get a bigger welcome

Good comment. More than likely, a good portion of the audience were young. Its going to be very interesting on what will transpire come Jan 4. I hope TNA can elevate wrestling the way it use to be. We shall see.....

I hope so too, but I'm a little concerned that TNA will never be as big as what it could be. WCW pushed WWE to the limit in the 90s, but I can't see TNA doing that.

TNA already have decent star power, I have to wonder why it's not already bigger than what it is.

The problem with the Hogan 'comeback' is that wrestling fans have seen him do this many times - Bret Hart never did come back, which is why I think most fans will tune in to Raw on Jan 4th.

Time will tell though!

@pr1978 Actually not really. Piper was already on the show like four times before this, and as much as I love Piper, and as much as I hate to say it, he's not a "big legend." He's a legend, but he's never gone, Piper shows up like 5 times a year. Plus, even if wrestling changed a lot, which it did, it doesn't in MSG. It's the only place where it seems to be the 1990's all the time.
