@FordMan2007 Ok, you are correct, I saw 4-5 cranes 1 dragline. I'd have known the difference if I'd seen the shovel/bucket. I'm not that familiar with cranes and such, yet. But I'm learning. Although that's a very large drag-line, and it does look like the stuff i've seen here in the USA.Is it a walker, or crawler? Thanks for the info!

@dougspair It's cool man no harm done, not gunna crucify you for not knowing, like half the fuckwitts on youtube would do. Im no expert in this field but I believe to move around it walks, big as round bed it sits on to rotate then 2 rectangular pads raise and lower and move back and forth to lift and move the whole unit, about 3 meters at a time, very slow process.

@FordMan2007 I have lived in California, USA the last 60 years of my 64, and see little of anything large except a few tower cranes on building sites. New hospital add-on here right now, 2 towers. I did buy a book a few years ago called Large Earth- moving equipment. Has all the various stuff, crawlers, 'walkers' Bucyrus, Euclid, Cat, Manitowoc. Pics of Big Muskie in there. I've noticed that a lot of people on youtube are good at attacking others who can't fight back. Physically, that is.

i am a crane operator in nz...... i admit the biggest ive operated was only a 250t kobelco crawler, but it has free fall capabilitys, as do ALL our crawler cranes in our fleet. Molotovzeus clearly has never operated, nor been around many cranes.

No one that comments know anything about cranes or what happened. 1) The blue 999 pinjib winch brake failed. 2) the 999 had most of the weight and if positioned on the side of the dragline boom would have increased it's radius= less lifting capacity. 3) they were installing the boom of the dragline, not raising it. 4) cranes are not fitted with freefall so can't be operator error.
