Swap the battery! I know that BP, ExxonMobil and other 'Money-First, good ideas later' companies will fight it but E-Cars are the future happening right now. I uploaded a video about battery swapping.
That means home renters can own an electric car.
That means "fueling up" is quicker than getting gasoline.
That means that you can drive all day and night without stopping to re-charge. And that means you can own just one car - Electric.
OK so electric cars are a god idea but when you have to charge them you plug them in the wall taking power from Cole power plants making them use more Cole so they release more gas and raise you're power bill. i would rather have a car that uses air it makes on site even if it is only 2hp.
@VooDooAssassin2 do some research.. even if we ere 100% coal powered to charge it would still be twice as efficient. and i dont think were anywere close to 100% coal :)
The C1 EV is a welcome addtion to electric cars done by Mitsubishi, Nissan and Renault that are comming and the roads in 2011/12. More please !! But deals need to be done with multi-screen cinemas, supermarkets, large collages and university and many other places for charging points ! Those are need by the millions up and down the UK. Plus high powered charging points at moterway service stops. So EV can charged up in 30 minutes !
what do you think? it's smarter than any gases. only hydrogen is safe, but its free, and shit head politicians can't make that happen because they don't know how to regulate it for profit......real nice work ladies and gentlemen of our usa govt. , your ignorance precedes you.
R u a leadfoot like me? Would u like better performance vehicles than we've got? We have steel vehicles with internal combustion engines because that's all the manufacturers want to sell us. This technology is at the peak of its development, just as 'The Mallard' was the best steam train ever built. Just like 'The Mallard', it's about to become redundant. Roll on the truly high-oerformance vehicles.
@samoht1977 But the Tesla Roadster is not a ghost, it's real and it's been on the roads for a couple of years. Its range is 245 miles. So I don't think the Model S is a ghost :)
@yerofeyev1 Roadster is a production veichle, Model S is far from being one. VEEERY far. And the roadster cost you a hell of a soul to buy... they were talking about somethingh like 50.000$ or more for the Model S...
@tantpwei yes but i think the internal combustion has a future.... just with no gasoline... preferably fuel cell powered. electric is cool but internal combustion engines are badass

for me id rather ride a horse then an electric cart plus horses have better artificial intelligence which electric cars dont have, but my point really is that nobody goes into a factory and looks at the motor on an industrial miller and thinks phwoarr! as you would when lifting a lid of real car to be presented with v12 of mechanical beautyness, electric is fast and efficient but incredibly dull and boring for me ill just catch a train heh

The tech can only improve, petrol on its way out, looking at £1.35 a litre by 2011, like £6 a gallon.

60 miles is too little.
e.g. Tesla Model S will have 300 miles range
