as fireiciclespark said... is the full film available anywhere? I've watched all the clips on your website and argh! I'd love to see all of this film and please don't leave us without an ending. Do they live happily ever after?
Gray has a Guido Contini of Nine (the stage production, not the movie) look about him. But completely different characters of course :)
You're very welcome. Yes I thought it was good, as I say I thought the black and white was very effective to show the happy and unhappy times. It was quite touching. I thought Gray did well to disguise his Scottish accent to play the Italian priest! The subtitles were a nice idea too. I didn't realise it had been made 3 years ago! Was no ending made at all for the sole purpose of making the audience wonder what happened or is it just been left off the website?
Hi, thanks again for your kind comments. The ending has been left off the web site on purpose. I will upload 2 more clips to the site tonight and let them run for 2 days to allow you to see the ending, and part of the beginning that has relevance to the loop in the storytelling. Thanks for watching.
Hi, thanks for doing that. I've watched the other bits now. It made me smile when there were the photos on the dressing table of him and his priest together and the ones of Jenny, and the plaster around the side of the glasses where they had broken! Brilliant idea that it was the specs that changed things to colour-I liked that. If Jenny and Gray ever see this then they'll know at least one person enjoyed it when you put it on You Tube! Although it was a while ago now when they did it. Thanks.
It definitely was Gray O'Brien in this, and at the beginning, yes I realise that the film is narrated by an Italian man (presumably) but in parts of the film Gray does speak to Jenny's character in English with an Italian accent and it is his voice, which was very good since he has a Scottish accent normally. You'd never guess he was a Scotsman in this.
Have watched the full film from the website now-I don't understand the ending though-what happens after she goes to see him with the nun with the bunch of keys? Good use of the black and white compared to the colour. Also thought Gray O'Brien looked nice in glasses-not something we've seen before. Thanks for posting, it was a good short film.
Hi ScottRosa2008, thank you for viewing my film, I appreciate your feedback and opinion. Only half the film is posted on the Stray Cat web site, and the ending has been deliberately left out in the hope that the audience will keep asking questions. The film was made in Jan 2007, just before Gray joined Coronation Street. Regards, Neil Mac.
