The product i simply cannot do without is Shi-Naturals edge grow formula. This product is growing back my edges, that have been bald for over six years. I use it everyday and i will never stop using it as long as they make it.

So here's my comment. Of all time I can not be without my Desire More Naturals Hair Water. It's not a popular brand but I've found it is the ONLY brand that detangles my hair leaving it with a nice shine.

I have naturaly wavy hair, Im transitioning from relaxed hair. But I love this shampoo It removes impurities, smoothes waves and controls frizz now who can go wrong with that? Hi Taren! My new favorite product is EcoStyler Olive Oil gel. I have been natural for about 9 years, and I've been straightening my hair ever since! Within the last month I've been playing in a lot of hair products to wear my hair very natural with no heat. I have never been a fan of gels because they are sticky, flaky and damaging to the hair, but the EcoStyler Olive Oil gel holds my curl, leaves my hair shiny, and does not flake. I definitely love this product!
My fav all-time hair product/beauty secret is something that may not specifically be considered an actual hair product, but the hair/skin benefits are so amazing I just had to share. It's a Shower Head Filter! These babies eliminate chlorine - it's that. simple. Just ask yourself 1 question ...Would I drink h20 straight out of the faucet? +The skin is our largest organ & absorbs everything. PLS do more research on shower head filters - you'll be glad you did. Hope this helps my lovely girlies =D
Interesting question. Honestly, my all-time favorite product is WATER. lol. It is the one thing that consistently and absolutely makes my hair beautiful. It has been a critical element to my regime from day one (a spray bottle is my bff). But, if you're looking for a commercial product, I would have to say Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Even when I use other products, it "neutralizes" my hair, tames frizz and helps my curls to retain moisture. Shout out to Shelley Davis for her fabulous creation!

This combination works absolute wonders on my TWA! ~So soft & smells delightful~ Embracing my natural hair has led me to using homemade, all-natural products, and my hair is grateful--it hasn't been this healthy in YEARS.
Hey Taren, my stylist in Toronto, has always told me to stop relaxing my hair and I finally have since January 2010. But because I did not choose to do the big chop, my hair is still in transition. My all time favorite product that my hair stylist has always used in my hair is "SALON FINISH- DEEP PENETRATING SILKY CONDITIONER" This product is great for my transitioning hair, and makes my hair soft and bouncy and defines my curls! Hi Taren, My favorite hair product of all time is Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. It smells delicious and moisturizes my hair like no other conditioner I have ever used. It has all natural ingredients, is not too expensive and is found easily in most Whole Foods stores. I use it for deep conditioning and it is awesome. Thanks for doing the giveaway! By the way, I live in the tri state area and can get to NYC quite easily.
1st and foremost i must say that i will be there rain, snow, or shine. i've already researched a few bed and breakfast's in the surrounding area and my flight there would only be $300 round trip. but it wouldn't hurt to come v.i.p. style. my all time fav product is kinky kurly knot today. it makes me and my daughters hair so easy to manage. i twist our hair most of the time so this is perfect for us...
my absolute favorite hair product is this stuff my mom makes for me in her kitchen. its a mix of shea butter and vitamin e. she melts the shea butter and mixes the vitamin e oil in it with a hand mixer till its smooth like pudding. i cant live without it! i use it all year round to keep my scalp moisturized in the winter and keep my hair from drying out in summer. its great because its all natural and it helps define my curls and helps with frizz and keeps my hair boyfriend-happy soft!!! lol
My favorite hair product is Fruit of the Earth's Aloe Vera gel. Its inexpensive, moisturizing, able to define, and just an overal great styling product. It makes my hair shiny and its also water soluble, which is great. Once I discovered how this product worked for my hair, I couldn't let it go! It was and is still amazing how something so good and cheap could maximize my styling, not to mention be great for my hair's health! It's the best gel that I could have chose that won't dry out my hair.
My favorite hair product is V05's moisturizing conditioner. It makes my hair smell delicious and feel soft to the touch. Since my big chop in September of 09 I have been using it and my boyfriend can't resist playing with my hair. He thinks my hair is beautiful and that it smells great.
My favorite product is Olive Oil. I have been using it since around March 2010. It helps my hair when it's dry and dull. It helps me when I style my hair. I use it at times for a pre-poo treatment, after washing and conditioning to help seal in the moisture, styling, helping to lay down loose hairs, dry ends, I massage my scalp with it, and many other things can't even think of right now. It's a good all around product for my hair. Also I get it at and good price and it last me a long time.
My favorite all time product that I can't live without is my curl junkie's curl rehab conditioner, I love this product because it keeps my hair amazingly soft and moisturized and i can leave it in my hair, it doesn't make my hair hard or cause any build up. Its the perfect deep conditioner that can be left in as well. My curls LOVE it!!
My favorite hair product has grown to be Miss Jessie's Creme de la Creme Conditioner. Conditioner is KEY! I do not wash conditioners out of my hair anymore, seeing as how I am in desperate need of moisture all day, everyday and this conditioner keeps my hair in low-frizz condition, smooth, and it makes my curls look fresher. It's not harsh, heavy nor cheap and is made with quality. I run it & some water on my hair and refresh my curls for everyday styling. Plus $8 at Target ;] Peace, love & soul

Hi Taren and hello everyone, my favorite product of all time is Oyin Handmade's Honey-Hemp Conditioner! I use it to deep condition my hair after co-washing and it immediately makes my curls soft and luscious. Also it is amazing because it uses all natural ingredients which really absorbs into the hair quickly. Its not too expensive, and it smells good enough to eat. Love love Love it! Pair it with your favorite oil and gel for beautiful wash and go results.
My favorite all time product of all time is WATER...anytime my hair feels crappy, dry or looks dull adding water always makes it feel better. I then follow up with a moisturizer of choice and viola!

Hi Taren! My absolute favorite hair product is 100% raw, unrefined shea butter. I love that it's all natural and it makes my hair SUPER soft for days. I especially love using it for twists and twists outs. An added bonus is that not only is it great for hair, but it's also good for your skin too :-)

Kinky Curly Custard is my favorite all-time product I WILL NOT, CAN NOT live without!! The product is made with all natural ingredients, the smell is absolutely a-friggen-mazing. My wavy hair loves it, it keeps away the frizz and my waves stay in place! My edges also stay firmly in place, without utilizing a brush! Luckily, I live in NYC and can purchase it at Ricky's and WholeFoods. Its an absolute god-send and I have finally found a product that my hair loves and works for me!!
Though I indulge in many hair products, I have to say that my favorite product is H2O. Without water, my hair can not be shampooed, conditioned, or styled. Water is a must have for any one with naturally curly or kinky hair. Water is absolutely needed for maintenance. Many of the styling products that us naturally curlies turn to has water as an ingredient. Water in any form whether it be from my sink, from a spray bottle or from the shower. It keeps my hair quenched, supple and healthy.
My all time FAV!!!!!! Herbal Essences totally twisted conditioner, it is the only thing that defines my curls. I had my last relaxer July of "09" and choped the last of the relaxed ends in Sep "10". Sooooo, I am new to styling, but it gives me the "RESULTS" I want. ;)
My fave product is *drumrolls* OLIVE OIL!!!! Since bc-ing 1+ yr ago, I've struggled w/ how to successfully use oils (1 of ur vids were extremely helpful). Since I normally do wash-n-gos w/ my 3c/4a hair, it bothered me that my hair didn't look the same post-drying as when wet (look pref'd). Using EVOO, my curls stay moisturized for days & has that healthy (non-greasy) shine. I love how it makes my curls clump together ELIMINATING FRIZZ (OMG FINALLY)! My favorite product is Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker. It is the only product that I have been using consistently since I've been 100% natural and even before that. It moisturizes my hair and defines my curls without leaving them weighed down. It also smells good which is nice, I've had people compliment me when a gust of wind goes by lol! It's also reasonably priced, I think the large bottle is around $5. *s/n: willing to travel* ;)
My fave product is the Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter. It is the best product I've found for braid-outs, twist-outs, bantu-knot outs etc. It has a great hold that leaves my hair defined, moisturized, soft and shiny. I've actually re-purchased this product more than once, so you know I like it. When I use it I am confident that I'll have great results.
Jessicurl's weekly deep treatment is my all time fav that I cannot live without!!! It leaves my hair feeling so hydrated strong. I love this because of the price and also it can be used not only as a DC but as a products to revive my curls it gives me great sheen, bounce and moisture its the bestest!
Karen's Body Beautiful's conditioning shampoo (creamy coco mango) is one product I can't live without. I have 4b/4c natural hair. When I use this shampoo, it leaves my hair feeling amazing... very soft. It smells great too. And personally, it helps fines my curls. This product has definitely been a keeper. I've been natural since August of 2009 and have been using it for most of that time period.
I have been natural for 4months and my best product would have to be Creme of nature leave in. it leaves my hair moist. I am fairly new and still learning through rial and error but for creme of nature and water along with eco and jojoba oil are my loves. thanks
My favorite product is Marc Anthony Curl Evny Defining Creme. It leaves my hair soft and not dry. I use it for my twists/twistouts. It also leaves a nice sheen. Love it when Rite Aid has the bogo free sale. That's when I stock up!
Hello: I'm soo excited about the upcoming hair expo. Anywho...I have been transitioning for 1.5 years. March 2011 will be 2 years since I have been on my natural journey . Since I have been on youtube I have tried way too many products and my favorite product is pro-style protein gel. It does not make my hair hard and it works on both straight and curly edges. Aside from my DC, this is a staple product that I heart and can rely on. Hope this helps. Looking forward to the event.
My ABSOLUTE favorite product is Jane Carter's Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner. Nothing I've tried has been able to condition and aid in detangling my hair like that product. It's the one product that has been with me from the beginning of my natural hair journey, which started almost 2 years ago, until now.
The number one hair product that I cannot love without is my water bottle. Lol. It keeps my hair moisturized, soothes my scalp, and is a natural curl definer. When my twists lack a little luster or are looking a little blah, I just spray some water and they look revived and curly at the ends. :-)

Enter me. My favorite hair product has been Eco Styler Gels, they are inexpensive and the ingredients are fairly simple and it keeps your hair in place. I've recently gone natural and keeping my edges together is slightly easier with this gel and again, its CHEAP!
My favorite Product that I cannot live without is Bee Mine Curly Butter!! It is great for twist-outs and braid-outs. I can most definitely have my hair set for a week with this product..and the smell of the butters are amazing!!!

Thermal creations heat tamer spray. I have naturally really curly bi-racial hair and I used to wear it curly all the time similar to Taren's hair. Since it's gotten colder I have been flat ironing my hair and I have found that by using this heat tamer spray my hair has been getting straighter and softer. I use it each time I blow dry and flat iron and it doesnt leave my hair oily like some heat protectants. I luv it!
I use various products on my hair, but my alltime fav product that I ABSOLUTELY *cannot* live w/out is the Olive You Deep Conditioner by MyHoneyChild Natural Products. It smells great & is xtremely moisturizing, If your hair is in dire need of some moisture or crying for help due to damage this is the healer for you! Its not very thick & can be used as a leave in as well. its paraben, silicon, and mineral oil free. & It leaves hair feeling soft and silky. Gives AWESOME results w/ a steamer 2 ^_^
My absolute favorite hair product is Carol's daughter hair milk!!!! LOVE LOVE LOOOOVE!!!!!! My hair loves it! It makes my hair soft and the shine is to a balance not extra shiny lookiing like fake hair LOL... not to mention it smells awesome!
Definitely Giovanni Direct. Its the only leave in the works for my type 4 hair. Keeps it moisturized and hydrated and doesn't contain as much harsh ingredients as others.
anyhoo, my all time cant live without product is EVOO! I use it in my hair spritz, my DC, and my shea butter hair moisturizer. It makes my hair super soft and easier to detangle, and it keeps my hair moisturized. It doesnt cost much and can be found in ANY supermarket, so thats a plus. Use it ladies, you cant go wrong!
I've been natural for 7 years and my absolute can't-live-without-it-OMG-did-you-use-the-last-of-it product is Aloe Vera Gel. I use it on two-strand twist, gel twists, and in my loc gel. It's 100% all natural. This product never flakes, never dries the hair out and has exceptional hold while still keeping the hair soft. I buy 30-24oz. bottles at a time so I never run out.

It is a rich, yet light conditioner that you can either leave-in or wash out!
It's so easy to detangle your hair with this conditioner, and trust, my 3C tresses are thick&full, and tangle easily! I also use it as my leave in conditioner b/c it has a ph balance of 5 (good range is 4.5-5.5) and seals in moisture as it closes the cuticles.
My hair feels super soft and smooth when I use this! Love it!!!

Once I was completely natural I picked it up again, and fell in love with Kinky Curly Knot Today. This is my go to for summer wash and go hair. Olive Oil..............No other oil works for me like this one does. I use it right after washing and conditioning my hair and it literally traps the water in my hair. great sealer and keeps my hair soft.
Hmm this is a toughy. I'd have to say, since I've only been natural for about two weeks now lol, my favorite product thus far is SheaMoisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. It's a God-send! Helps me refresh my 2 and 3-day old twist outs and it has all natural ingredients. It's also super cheap at Target!
My favorite Natural hair product is olive oil. I love olive oil because it is universal and can be found in almost every natural hair product. You can use it on your skin, hair and also as a body cleanser.
I have a few but one of my favorite products is Jojoba oil. I use it everyday because it's great to moisturize my hair and it add a little shine. It's also great to add to other products to make them more manageable.
Because i am money conscience I tend to purchase products that have a dual purpose like coconut oil. I call it my head to toe product because it can be used externally and internally.
My favorite hair product (aka HG) is one that I recently discovered by accident: It is called "Beautiful Curls" and it is sold in Whole Foods exclusively (I believe). I love this product because it is all-natural with a shea butter base so it gives INCREDIBLE shine, moisture and smoothness to my hair cuticle. I use the leave in shea conditioner as well as the curl enhancer to set my braid outs, twist outs well as a myriad of other styles! It's a definite must-buy!!!
My favorite hair product is the Shea Moisture Hold & SHine Moisture Mist. It was one of the first things I bought when I went natural. It moisturizes my hair and works as a quick refresher spray.
I've been natural for 2 1/2 yrs and my favorite product has to be Catwalk Curls Rock. It tames all my different curls I have on my head especially my difficult crown section that is super frizzy! The product gives me great 2nd and 3rd day hair, and although pricey at $14.99 a pop it lasts me almost 2 months or more because a little goes a longgg way.

I must admit I do love their Smotth as Silk conditioner and their tea tree champoo and conditioner. I have experimented with quite a few products but love love love the Giovanni line!!!That along with my fingers!!! LOL.. I would love to go to this and can't wait for a winner to be announced!
Hi Taren I personally love the Cantu shampoo and conditioner for detangling. I also love the Cantu shea butter leave in conditioner, It's a very affordable product that leaves my hair very soft and my curles are clearly defined, it also leaves me the option of volume....I love this product!
I love love love Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave in Conditioner. It does wonders for my hair in terms of moisture and softness. It leaves my hair feeling very soft after a wash or even during the week when I re-wet my hair and reapply some Knot Today. Its an all natural product and smells really good.

i would have to say my all time favorite product is castor oil. i'm transitioning and castor oil is a definite GO TO for the washing process. my hair doesn't feel the same if i don't do a castor oil steam treatment (with a splash of olive oil). its odorless, cheap, NATURAL, and gives the hair elasticity, shine and incredible softness. thanks for the awesome tuts, NOW GIMME THEM TICKETS!!!! My all-time fav. product would be: Afroveda's Shea Amla Whipped Butter Cream because it's Ph balanced for moisture protection and all of its ingredients are 100% natural: Aloe Vera Juice, Rice Milk, Water, Shea Butter, Sesame Oil, Ashwagandha Powder (an Ayurvedic substance), Netlle, Herbal Oil Complex, and other natural ingredients. It leaves my 3b, 3c hair feeling soft and moist for weeks and a little goes a long way!
Fave-The Afro Detangler. If you have very coarse, dry and dense hair, you'll have a total change of heart. I can't even explain what it does to the texture, but good God, I love this stuff. Highly recommended if you feel like your texture is difficult to deal with or if you feel like giving up on your natural hair. It is worth EVERY penny.

My favorite product is my 100% natural Shea butter, because I have really kinky dry hair and it makes my hair soft, manageable and easy to detangle for my Bantu knot style! It also helps to hold my curls and makes them bouncy!
HI Taren -- My favorite all time product is VEGETABLE GLYCERIN! It is sooo slept on. I mix it with water/other essential oils for my re-moisturizing leave-in spray and it leaves my hair SO SOFT. I have waist length natural hair (when straightened) but with that length (and bulk!) comes a huge need for moisture to retain my length. Veggie glycerin (find it at whole foods, other organic markets) is a cheap and reliable way to ensure my hair stays shiny and healthy :D
My favorite product of all time is olive oil. If I want to narrow it down from all the mixtures I try and all the things I use as a product junkie, I can use that one product and receive fantastic results with wet hair. It helps with the detangle process when mixed with conditioner (and my hair will detangle in a second when wet), it helps retain moisture no matter what the climate is, and also it lessens the crunch when I put gel in my hair.

my favorite product right now is actually an all natural mixture you can make at home. i actually started doing this because ive been into natural products lately and heard from family members that this was how my grandmother used to wash her hair in haiti. in a blender i put an avocodo and a little bit of olive oil and use that as a deep conditioning hair mask either before i shampoo or as a conditoner after i wash. OMG my hair feels like butter after and the SHINE after i blow dry is bananas!!

I've been natural off and on for about 5 years going on six and and I have BC'd about 4 times and of ALL the products I have tried, none have been better at making my thick and curly hair soft & smooth and retain moisture regardless of what style I rock. I've been using this combo of shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil for about 3 or 4 months and I love the results. What's better is it natural and I can use it all over my body and in my baby's and bf's hair as well!
My ultimate product although it is not a product but I can not live without my Target flour towel. After I cowash with Tresseme Natural Moisture, leave more Tresseme in my hair, apply Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Original Definer, then a little Miss Jessie's Quick Curls I use the flour towel to scrunch, scrunch my hair and BAM my curls are defined. I don't know what is up with that little towel but I LOVE IT!!!
Honestly my favorite product changes all the time but right now I am absolutely loving the Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter conditioner. I have been on the hunt for the perfect conditioner and I think I may have found it. It has a very creamy consistency and it leaves my hair feeling so soft and moisturized!
My favourite product of all time is Tressemse's Silione free conditioner.
If you're using th eCG method, this is great because it's silicone free. It's also natural and also has avocado and alo vera. I love it! It's safe to leave in.. I leave in about 80% of my conditioner. :)

Kinky Curly's Knot Today leave-in i use this alone and as well as the creamy base for my kimmay leave in. I love how it leaves my hair feeling really soft and moisturized!
My favorite all time product is the Jane Carter Solutions Scalp renew. This product really works wonders for my dry, itchy and flaky scalp. It is a great product to use since I do not wash my hair on a weekly basis but rather a regimen of every 2-3 weeks.
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk!!! It is an amazing mositurizer and leaves my hair sooo soft. It's great no matter what style I wear and good year round. BTW, I got about 12 pounds I'm willing to donate to you! :-)
Shea butter is my all time favorite natural hair care product. I whip it with a little bit of water and jojoba oil (and a few drops of tea tree oil). It keeps my hair nice and soft. It also elongates my curls, so it helps me not experience extreme shrinkage.
i love my shea butter mix..i put castor oil, olive oil and coconut oil in it. It moisturizes my hair like no other and it works great for my skin too..Dual purpose..who can beat dat!!
Jamaican black Castor oil- I swear it seals my ends and made my hair grow at least 3 inches last winter (when i started using it) It is great for natural and straight styles.
Raw shea butter - it's natural, makes my hair soft, and even though I am not all that fond of the smell, it's very easy to add a drop of essential oil to it before emulsifying it :-)

Herbal Essence Hello Hydration I cannot leave without this for detangling my hair. I use this on a daily basis to do my wash and go's it has great slip, loosens up my coils really quickly and keeps my hair smelling nice :)
The product I absolutely cannot give up at this time is CANTU SHEA BUTTER LEAVE IN CONDITIONER. I like this product because it provides moisture, lightness on the hair, protection for a protective style and its lovely smell :) It keeps the hair feeling and looking soft. Gotta love it
Coconut oil! I use it for everything...hair, skin and nails(in lieu of cuticle oil). It's the best...smells great, ultra-moisturizing and absorbs quickly so there's no oily buildup. Love it!
I've been natural for 6 months now & the product that is my all time favorite is WORLD OF CURLS CURL ACTIVATOR. I know an activator, but trust & believe. It is super moisturizing and u only need a little. It keeps the hair soooo soft, it can be used alone, or with another product. When paired with Eco Styler (I prefer the blue)....omg no hard curls with less shrinkage. Oh and your hair stays moisturized for dayzzz... Hope this helps someone
@binkybaby007 Your very welcome...I use the blue Eco Styler bcuz it has a softer hold and works welll the activator. Be sure to get the regular kind, not the one for extra dry hair. My absolute all time favorite product and one I can not live without has to be Kinky Curly Knot Today. Had it not been for this product I may have went back to getting my hair RELAXED ;( One of the main reasons I used to relax was because my hair was so hard to comb out on my own. I used to have to take breaks because my arm would start to hurt. Once I found this product it made combing out my hair a breeze and I kept at my natural hair journey. This product truly changed my life and hair ;)
Darcy's Botanicals deep conditioning treatment. I love this product because it makes me hair tangle free, soft, bouncy, and dropped dead gorgeous. don’t need to use a lot to be super fly.
My all time favorite cant live without hair product is natural extra virgin olive oil.. It makes such a huge difference with how puffy my hair gets after washing it. I must say that my all time fav would have to be Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Conditioner. It is one product that I contiuosly use through transition and my year of being natural. They always say their is no miracle product that will curl your hair but I def thought HETT was and is. This oroduct really defines my curls and its the first thing I use when converting my flat ironed hair back to my Lovely curls.
Coconut oil! Smells heavenly, is ultra-moisturizing, works great with water, has anti-bacterial properties, can be liquid or solid (depending on the temperature), doesn't stain because it's clear, and I buy it in bulk so I not only use it for hair and skin, but I can eat it!
My favorite all time product is Kera Care Essential Oils..aside from the fact that it smells amazing (coconut vanilla) it really moisturizes my hair on a daily basis if you plan on buying it and trying it out I actually take half of the bottle of oil and pour it into a spray bottle and add about the same amount of water and a dolop of a really great leave in condition and just shake...this literally makes the most moisturizing lightweight (perfect for different textures) spray i have ever used
I never thought I would say this since I've had the same bottle for 3 years, but after using it yesterday on my twists, I have found love in Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey. It made my hair so soft and shiny, plus it smells delicious.
I definitely agree that WATER is one of my FAVORITE natural products, but if we have to put a product that is solely found in the hair section I would have to go with "One n Only Argan Oil" I love, love, love this product! It smells amazing and it makes my hair feel and look amazing. You guys have to try it!
My favorite all time product that I can not live without is Alter Ego IMPAC EGO Nourishing Garlic Treatment Conditioner. I love this product because it strengthens my hair and leaves it feeling soft and full of body. I have been using this product for 25 years and cannot say enough about it. This product may be costly but it's well worth it. I'm a fan forever.
My favorite hair product of all time is Cantu Shea butter- leave in conditioning repair cream. It moisturizes my hair really well and with continuous use it has help me reduce hair breakage and it also keeps my hair soft.

Miss Jessie's Baby buttercreme- the reason being because if I cannot do anything else with my hair, I can twist it up with this stuff and get an ultra fly twist out. Thus it is my go to product if all else fails. it gives me definition and shine

Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter. I can use it on any and every hairstyle that I create and it has never failed me.It has also aided on my hair growth from Mar 2010 to current.
My Ultimate, Favorite, Super, Awesome, Spectacular, Majestical, all time fav. product has to be my Giovanni Direct Leave in!!!!! This product is mostly organic, with great slip and a perfect base for my butter creams and works at it's best with Curls Whipped Cream. My twists and Braid-outs always come out super smooth with this product. I love that a little can be used a long way! Also whenever I want to put my hair in a puff, I just smooth some around my crown, slick back with a band and Puff!
My ultimate favorite hair product would definately be castor oil!!!!!! oh em gee its thick enough to lock in moisture but not too heavy that will leave a film in my hair (which shea butter will when i use it) but castor oil leaves my hair soooooo shiny and thats important to me. I love being natural n having healthy hair but this gal has to stay fly too ya kno. =)
My favorite product that I can't live with out is my Sauve Coconut Conditioner it "Great" for detangling, leave-in conditioner and deep conditioner with coconut oils. One thing is that it's cheap and every store sells it!! Sauve has a conditioner just for you and your hair!

My FAVORITE product is Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie! This product hold my curls in place and does not make my hair hard or crunchy. Because it's a cream it helps keep my hair moisturized and full of movement when I'm wearing a wash and go!! (And I'm SO willing to travel all the way from VA, LOL) Good luck everyone :)
my all time fav hair product is chi keratin mist..it is amazing its a protein treatment and it strengthens my hair sooo nicely now that i have chemically damaged it. i can really feel my hair getting stronger from using it continuously. i Get it from target for only like 11.99 and its a bid spray bottle that has lasted me more than 1 yr and i use it every other day
I cover my natural hair with a wig cap and a wig every single day. I also workout with my hair covered up. So in both instances my hair loses a lot of moisture. My hair love Aphogee Leave-In Conditioner. So far, it's the only leave-in my hair loves. I spray and work it into my hair twice a day and I'm set.

Hi Taren! My new favorite product is EcoStyler Olive Oil gel. I have been natural for about 9 years, and I've been straightening my hair ever since! Within the last month I've been playing in a lot of hair products to wear my hair very natural with no heat. I have never been a fan of gels because they are sticky, flaky and damaging to the hair, but the EcoStyler Olive Oil gel holds my curl, leaves my hair shiny, and does not flake. I definitely love this product!

My fav all-time hair product/beauty secret is something that may not specifically be considered an actual hair product, but the hair/skin benefits are so amazing I just had to share. It's a Shower Head Filter! These babies eliminate chlorine - it's that. simple. Just ask yourself 1 question ...Would I drink h20 straight out of the faucet? +The skin is our largest organ & absorbs everything. PLS do more research on shower head filters - you'll be glad you did. Hope this helps my lovely girlies =D

Interesting question. Honestly, my all-time favorite product is WATER. lol. It is the one thing that consistently and absolutely makes my hair beautiful. It has been a critical element to my regime from day one (a spray bottle is my bff). But, if you're looking for a commercial product, I would have to say Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Even when I use other products, it "neutralizes" my hair, tames frizz and helps my curls to retain moisture. Shout out to Shelley Davis for her fabulous creation!

Hey Taren, my stylist in Toronto, has always told me to stop relaxing my hair and I finally have since January 2010. But because I did not choose to do the big chop, my hair is still in transition. My all time favorite product that my hair stylist has always used in my hair is "SALON FINISH- DEEP PENETRATING SILKY CONDITIONER" This product is great for my transitioning hair, and makes my hair soft and bouncy and defines my curls! Hi Taren, My favorite hair product of all time is Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. It smells delicious and moisturizes my hair like no other conditioner I have ever used. It has all natural ingredients, is not too expensive and is found easily in most Whole Foods stores. I use it for deep conditioning and it is awesome. Thanks for doing the giveaway! my absolute favorite hair product is this stuff my mom makes for me in her kitchen. its a mix of shea butter and vitamin e. she melts the shea butter and mixes the vitamin e oil in it with a hand mixer till its smooth like pudding. i cant live without it! i use it all year round to keep my scalp moisturized in the winter and keep my hair from drying out in summer. its great because its all natural and it helps define my curls and helps with frizz and keeps my hair boyfriend-happy soft!!! lol

My favorite hair product is Fruit of the Earth's Aloe Vera gel. Its inexpensive, moisturizing, able to define, and just an overal great styling product. It makes my hair shiny and its also water soluble, which is great. Once I discovered how this product worked for my hair, I couldn't let it go! It was and is still amazing how something so good and cheap could maximize my styling, not to mention be great for my hair's health! It's the best gel that I could have chose that won't dry out my hair.

My favorite product is Olive Oil. I have been using it since around March 2010. It helps my hair when it's dry and dull. It helps me when I style my hair. I use it at times for a pre-poo treatment, after washing and conditioning to help seal in the moisture, styling, helping to lay down loose hairs, dry ends, I massage my scalp with it, and many other things can't even think of right now. It's a good all around product for my hair. Also I get it at and good price and it last me a long time.

My favorite all time product that I can't live without is my curl junkie's curl rehab conditioner, I love this product because it keeps my hair amazingly soft and moisturized and i can leave it in my hair, it doesn't make my hair hard or cause any build up. Its the perfect deep conditioner that can be left in as well. My curls LOVE it!!

My favorite hair product has grown to be Miss Jessie's Creme de la Creme Conditioner. Conditioner is KEY! I do not wash conditioners out of my hair anymore, seeing as how I am in desperate need of moisture all day, everyday and this conditioner keeps my hair in low-frizz condition, smooth, and it makes my curls look fresher. It's not harsh, heavy nor cheap and is made with quality. I run it & some water on my hair and refresh my curls for everyday styling. Plus $8 at Target ;] Peace, love & soul

Hi Taren and hello everyone, my favorite product of all time is Oyin Handmade's Honey-Hemp Conditioner! I use it to deep condition my hair after co-washing and it immediately makes my curls soft and luscious. Also it is amazing because it uses all natural ingredients which really absorbs into the hair quickly. Its not too expensive, and it smells good enough to eat. Love love Love it! Pair it with your favorite oil and gel for beautiful wash and go results.

Kinky Curly Custard is my favorite all-time product I WILL NOT, CAN NOT live without!! The product is made with all natural ingredients, the smell is absolutely a-friggen-mazing. My wavy hair loves it, it keeps away the frizz and my waves stay in place! My edges also stay firmly in place, without utilizing a brush! Though I indulge in many hair products, I have to say that my favorite product is H2O. Without water, my hair can not be shampooed, conditioned, or styled. Water is a must have for any one with naturally curly or kinky hair. Water is absolutely needed for maintenance. Many of the styling products that us naturally curlies turn to has water as an ingredient. Water in any form whether it be from my sink, from a spray bottle or from the shower. It keeps my hair quenched, supple and healthy.

My fave product is *drumrolls* OLIVE OIL!!!! Since bc-ing 1+ yr ago, I've struggled w/ how to successfully use oils (1 of ur vids were extremely helpful). Since I normally do wash-n-gos w/ my 3c/4a hair, it bothered me that my hair didn't look the same post-drying as when wet (look pref'd). Using EVOO, my curls stay moisturized for days & has that healthy (non-greasy) shine. I love how it makes my curls clump together ELIMINATING FRIZZ (OMG FINALLY)! My favorite product is Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker. It is the only product that I have been using consistently since I've been 100% natural and even before that. It moisturizes my hair and defines my curls without leaving them weighed down. It also smells good which is nice, I've had people compliment me when a gust of wind goes by lol! My fave product is the Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter. It is the best product I've found for braid-outs, twist-outs, bantu-knot outs etc. It has a great hold that leaves my hair defined, moisturized, soft and shiny. I've actually re-purchased this product more than once, so you know I like it. When I use it I am confident that I'll have great results.

Karen's Body Beautiful's conditioning shampoo (creamy coco mango) is one product I can't live without. I have 4b/4c natural hair. When I use this shampoo, it leaves my hair feeling amazing... very soft. It smells great too. And personally, it helps fines my curls. This product has definitely been a keeper. I've been natural since August of 2009 and have been using it for most of that time period.

I have been natural for 4months and my best product would have to be Creme of nature leave in. it leaves my hair moist. I am fairly new and still learning through rial and error but for creme of nature and water along with eco and jojoba oil are my loves. thanks

My favorite product is Marc Anthony Curl Evny Defining Creme. It leaves my hair soft and not dry. I use it for my twists/twistouts. It also leaves a nice sheen. Love it when Rite Aid has the bogo free sale. That's when I stock up!

Hello: I'm soo excited about the upcoming hair expo. Anywho...I have been transitioning for 1.5 years. March 2011 will be 2 years since I have been on my natural journey . Since I have been on youtube I have tried way too many products and my favorite product is pro-style protein gel. It does not make my hair hard and it works on both straight and curly edges. Aside from my DC, this is a staple product that I heart and can rely on. Hope this helps. Looking forward to the event.

My ABSOLUTE favorite product is Jane Carter's Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner. Nothing I've tried has been able to condition and aid in detangling my hair like that product. It's the one product that has been with me from the beginning of my natural hair journey, which started almost 2 years ago, until now.

The number one hair product that I cannot love without is my water bottle. Lol. It keeps my hair moisturized, soothes my scalp, and is a natural curl definer. When my twists lack a little luster or are looking a little blah, I just spray some water and they look revived and curly at the ends. :-)

Enter me. My favorite hair product has been Eco Styler Gels, they are inexpensive and the ingredients are fairly simple and it keeps your hair in place. I've recently gone natural and keeping my edges together is slightly easier with this gel and again, its CHEAP!

My favorite Product that I cannot live without is Bee Mine Curly Butter!! It is great for twist-outs and braid-outs. I can most definitely have my hair set for a week with this product..and the smell of the butters are amazing!!!

I cannot live without Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing conditioner. I have thich waist length natural hair and Ive been using it since i first decided to transition. It is the only conditioner that I can use to detangle my thick hair, deep condition, leave-in conditioner, and as styling product all in one!

My absolute favorite product of all time that I use is the TRESemme'
Thermal creations heat tamer spray. I have naturally really curly bi-racial hair and I used to wear it curly all the time similar to Taren's hair. Since it's gotten colder I have been flat ironing my hair and I have found that by using this heat tamer spray my hair has been getting straighter and softer. I use it each time I blow dry and flat iron and it doesnt leave my hair oily like some heat protectants. I luv it!

I use various products on my hair, but my alltime fav product that I ABSOLUTELY *cannot* live w/out is the Olive You Deep Conditioner by MyHoneyChild Natural Products. It smells great & is xtremely moisturizing, If your hair is in dire need of some moisture or crying for help due to damage this is the healer for you! Its not very thick & can be used as a leave in as well. its paraben, silicon, and mineral oil free. & It leaves hair feeling soft and silky. Gives AWESOME results w/ a steamer 2 ^_^

Definitely Giovanni Direct. Its the only leave in the works for my type 4 hair. Keeps it moisturized and hydrated and doesn't contain as much harsh ingredients as others.

anyhoo, my all time cant live without product is EVOO! I use it in my hair spritz, my DC, and my shea butter hair moisturizer. It makes my hair super soft and easier to detangle, and it keeps my hair moisturized. It doesnt cost much and can be found in ANY supermarket, so thats a plus. Use it ladies, you cant go wrong!

Hi everyone!
I've been natural for 7 years and my absolute can't-live-without-it-OMG-did-you-use-the-last-of-it product is Aloe Vera Gel. I use it on two-strand twist, gel twists, and in my loc gel. It's 100% all natural. This product never flakes, never dries the hair out and has exceptional hold while still keeping the hair soft. I buy 30-24oz. bottles at a time so I never run out.

The product that I can not live without is Oyin Handmade's Honey Hemp Conditioner!
It is a rich, yet light conditioner that you can either leave-in or wash out!
It's so easy to detangle your hair with this conditioner, and trust, my 3C tresses are thick&full, and tangle easily! I also use it as my leave in conditioner b/c it has a ph balance of 5 (good range is 4.5-5.5) and seals in moisture as it closes the cuticles.
My hair feels super soft and smooth when I use this! Love it!!!

Once I was completely natural I picked it up again, and fell in love with Kinky Curly Knot Today. This is my go to for summer wash and go hair. Hmm this is a toughy. I'd have to say, since I've only been natural for about two weeks now lol, my favorite product thus far is SheaMoisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. It's a God-send! My favorite hair product (aka HG) is one that I recently discovered by accident: It is called "Beautiful Curls" and it is sold in Whole Foods exclusively (I believe). I love this product because it is all-natural with a shea butter base so it gives INCREDIBLE shine, moisture and smoothness to my hair cuticle. I use the leave in shea conditioner as well as the curl enhancer to set my braid outs, twist outs well as a myriad of other styles! It's a definite must-buy!!!

I've been natural for 2 1/2 yrs and my favorite product has to be Catwalk Curls Rock. It tames all my different curls I have on my head especially my difficult crown section that is super frizzy! The product gives me great 2nd and 3rd day hair, and although pricey at $14.99 a pop it lasts me almost 2 months or more because a little goes a longgg way.

I must admit I do love their Smotth as Silk conditioner and their tea tree champoo and conditioner. I love love love Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave in Conditioner. It does wonders for my hair in terms of moisture and softness. It leaves my hair feeling very soft after a wash or even during the week when I re-wet my hair and reapply some Knot Today. Its an all natural product and smells really good.

i would have to say my all time favorite product is castor oil. i'm transitioning and castor oil is a definite GO TO for the washing process. my hair doesn't feel the same if i don't do a castor oil steam treatment (with a splash of olive oil). its odorless, cheap, NATURAL, and gives the hair elasticity, shine and incredible softness. thanks for the awesome tuts, NOW GIMME THEM TICKETS!!!! My all-time fav. product would be: Afroveda's Shea Amla Whipped Butter Cream because it's Ph balanced for moisture protection and all of its ingredients are 100% natural: Aloe Vera Juice, Rice Milk, Water, Shea Butter, Sesame Oil, Ashwagandha Powder (an Ayurvedic substance), Netlle, Herbal Oil Complex, and other natural ingredients. Fave-The Afro Detangler. If you have very coarse, dry and dense hair, you'll have a total change of heart. I can't even explain what it does to the texture, but good God, I love this stuff. Highly recommended if you feel like your texture is difficult to deal with or if you feel like giving up on your natural hair. It is worth EVERY penny.

HI Taren -- My favorite all time product is VEGETABLE GLYCERIN! It is sooo slept on. I mix it with water/other essential oils for my re-moisturizing leave-in spray and it leaves my hair SO SOFT. I have waist length natural hair (when straightened) but with that length (and bulk!) comes a huge need for moisture to retain my length. Veggie glycerin (find it at whole foods, other organic markets) is a cheap and reliable way to ensure my hair stays shiny and healthy :D

My favorite product of all time is olive oil. If I want to narrow it down from all the mixtures I try and all the things I use as a product junkie, I can use that one product and receive fantastic results with wet hair. It helps with the detangle process when mixed with conditioner (and my hair will detangle in a second when wet), it helps retain moisture no matter what the climate is, and also it lessens the crunch when I put gel in my hair.

I have type 4 hair and use this weekly,it's also great for deep conditioning.This is the only conditioner I've used thats been able to moisturize, soften, make detangling a breeze, and make my hair smell oh so good.I've even got my Fiance using it! My all time favorite product i'd have to say are Karens body Beautiful hair milk and also Darcy Botanicals Deep Conditioner...being as though i'm transitioning (in my 11th month)i need anything thats going to help me manage the 2 textures as easily as possible an both of these are AWESOME products..the Deep Conditioner makes my hair SUPER easy to comb through an provides the much need mosture that i need to my scalp & hair, the Hair milk is an AWESOME detangler an also adds moisture 2my hair!!!

my favorite product right now is actually an all natural mixture you can make at home. i actually started doing this because ive been into natural products lately and heard from family members that this was how my grandmother used to wash her hair in haiti. in a blender i put an avocodo and a little bit of olive oil and use that as a deep conditioning hair mask either before i shampoo or as a conditoner after i wash. OMG my hair feels like butter after and the SHINE after i blow dry is bananas!!

SHEA BUTTER MIX!!!!! I've been natural off and on for about 5 years going on six and and I have BC'd about 4 times and of ALL the products I have tried, none have been better at making my thick and curly hair soft & smooth and retain moisture regardless of what style I rock. I've been using this combo of shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil for about 3 or 4 months and I love the results. What's better is it natural and I can use it all over my body and in my baby's and bf's hair as well!

My ultimate product although it is not a product but I can not live without my Target flour towel. After I cowash with Tresseme Natural Moisture, leave more Tresseme in my hair, apply Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Original Definer, then a little Miss Jessie's Quick Curls I use the flour towel to scrunch, scrunch my hair and BAM my curls are defined. I don't know what is up with that little towel but I LOVE IT!!!

Honestly my favorite product changes all the time but right now I am absolutely loving the Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter conditioner. I have been on the hunt for the perfect conditioner and I think I may have found it. It has a very creamy consistency and it leaves my hair feeling so soft and moisturized!

My favourite product of all time is Tressemse's Silione free conditioner.
If you're using th eCG method, this is great because it's silicone free. It's also natural and also has avocado and alo vera. I love it! It's safe to leave in.. I leave in about 80% of my conditioner. :)

My favorite all time product is the Jane Carter Solutions Scalp renew. This product really works wonders for my dry, itchy and flaky scalp. It is a great product to use since I do not wash my hair on a weekly basis but rather a regimen of every 2-3 weeks.

Shea butter is my all time favorite natural hair care product. I whip it with a little bit of water and jojoba oil (and a few drops of tea tree oil). It keeps my hair nice and soft. It also elongates my curls, so it helps me not experience extreme shrinkage.

The product I absolutely cannot give up at this time is CANTU SHEA BUTTER LEAVE IN CONDITIONER. I like this product because it provides moisture, lightness on the hair, protection for a protective style and its lovely smell :) It keeps the hair feeling and looking soft. Gotta love it

Coconut oil! I use it for everything...hair, skin and nails(in lieu of cuticle oil). It's the best...smells great, ultra-moisturizing and absorbs quickly so there's no oily buildup. Love it!

I've been natural for 6 months now & the product that is my all time favorite is WORLD OF CURLS CURL ACTIVATOR. I know an activator, but trust & believe. It is super moisturizing and u only need a little. It keeps the hair soooo soft, it can be used alone, or with another product. When paired with Eco Styler (I prefer the blue)....omg no hard curls with less shrinkage. Oh and your hair stays moisturized for dayzzz... Hope this helps someone

@binkybaby007 Your very welcome...I use the blue Eco Styler bcuz it has a softer hold and works welll the activator. Be sure to get the regular kind, not the one for extra dry hair. If too much is used it can feel greasy, but start with a little and modify it to your liking in your next application. Hope you try it and like it. Let me know. Good luck!!!!!!!!

They always say their is no miracle product that will curl your hair but I def thought HETT was and is. This oroduct really defines my curls and its the first thing I use when converting my flat ironed hair back to my Lovely curls.

Coconut oil! Smells heavenly, is ultra-moisturizing, works great with water, has anti-bacterial properties, can be liquid or solid (depending on the temperature), doesn't stain because it's clear, and I buy it in bulk so I not only use it for hair and skin, but I can eat it!

My favorite all time product is Kera Care Essential Oils..aside from the fact that it smells amazing (coconut vanilla) it really moisturizes my hair on a daily basis if you plan on buying it and trying it out I actually take half of the bottle of oil and pour it into a spray bottle and add about the same amount of water and a dolop of a really great leave in condition and just shake...this literally makes the most moisturizing lightweight (perfect for different textures) spray i have ever used

I never thought I would say this since I've had the same bottle for 3 years, but after using it yesterday on my twists, I have found love in Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey. It made my hair so soft and shiny, plus it smells delicious.

I definitely agree that WATER is one of my FAVORITE natural products, but if we have to put a product that is solely found in the hair section I would have to go with "One n Only Argan Oil" I love, love, love this product! It smells amazing and it makes my hair feel and look amazing. You guys have to try it!

My favorite all time product that I can not live without is Alter Ego IMPAC EGO Nourishing Garlic Treatment Conditioner. I love this product because it strengthens my hair and leaves it feeling soft and full of body. I have been using this product for 25 years and cannot say enough about it. This product may be costly but it's well worth it. I'm a fan forever.

My favorite hair product of all time is Cantu Shea butter- leave in conditioning repair cream. It moisturizes my hair really well and with continuous use it has help me reduce hair breakage and it also keeps my hair soft.

Miss Jessie's Baby buttercreme- the reason being because if I cannot do anything else with my hair, I can twist it up with this stuff and get an ultra fly twist out. Thus it is my go to product if all else fails. it gives me definition and shine

My favorite natural hair product is water! Water is my fave because 1) it's free. 2) it's the ultimate moisturizer. 3) i can get it pretty much anywhere at anytime. 4) it's free. 5) it always fixes bad hair days. 6) it works inside & outside of my body. and 7) it's free. =)

My Ultimate, Favorite, Super, Awesome, Spectacular, Majestical, all time fav. product has to be my Giovanni Direct Leave in!!!!! This product is mostly organic, with great slip and a perfect base for my butter creams and works at it's best with Curls Whipped Cream. My twists and Braid-outs always come out super smooth with this product. I love that a little can be used a long way! Also whenever I want to put my hair in a puff, I just smooth some around my crown, slick back with a band and Puff!

My ultimate favorite hair product would definately be castor oil!!!!!! oh em gee its thick enough to lock in moisture but not too heavy that will leave a film in my hair (which shea butter will when i use it) but castor oil leaves my hair soooooo shiny and thats important to me. I love being natural n having healthy hair but this gal has to stay fly too ya kno. =)

My favorite product that I can't live with out is my Sauve Coconut Conditioner it "Great" for detangling, leave-in conditioner and deep conditioner with coconut oils. One thing is that it's cheap and every store sells it!! Sauve has a conditioner just for you and your hair!

My FAVORITE product is Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie! This product hold my curls in place and does not make my hair hard or crunchy. Because it's a cream it helps keep my hair moisturized and full of movement when I'm wearing a wash and go!! (And I'm SO willing to travel all the way from VA, LOL) Good luck everyone :)

my all time fav hair product is chi keratin mist..it is amazing its a protein treatment and it strengthens my hair sooo nicely now that i have chemically damaged it. i can really feel my hair getting stronger from using it continuously. i Get it from target for only like 11.99 and its a bid spray bottle that has lasted me more than 1 yr and i use it every other day

I cover my natural hair with a wig cap and a wig every single day. I also workout with my hair covered up. So in both instances my hair loses a lot of moisture. My hair love Aphogee Leave-In Conditioner. So far, it's the only leave-in my hair loves. I spray and work it into my hair twice a day and I'm set.
