Little tip, if u use openssh change the pw, its commonly known that hackers can use it to get into your idevice. U can do this by downloading mobileterminal from cydia (availible in the standard repos or in the xsellize and ihacks repos) once u got it open it, type in "su root" then click return, then type in "alpine" then click return, then type in "passwd" then click return, then type in ur new pw and click return then confirm it and click return.

k I'm attempting to unlock my iphone 3g using a custom firmware. The springboard keeps crashing so I was instructed to reboot it. Can you please decipher this for me? (This tells me to use cyberduck but I have windows. So I'm using WinSCP) - Open SSH Connection via Cyberduck - Insert cydia_1.0.3366-1_iphoneos-arm.­deb in /tmp - Now open your terminal of the SSH Client and paste dpkg -i /tmp/cydia_1.0.3366-1_iphoneos­-arm.deb- After this paste killall -HUP SpringBoard

@GozisXD i had the same wierd thing - but i just opened the "router config website" with my iphone, logged in there with router pw and closed the connection --> now i can see it :)

maybe it disappeared bcause i renewed the lease as i was drunk, dunno ^^

@iceAngelDeath if you get acess denied then that means you have an older firmware and your password is "dottie" and username is still root

Download "CYDIA" (search with Google), then the files will be loaded automatically, if not, just search in Cydia for them. Hope this helps.

Make sure your auto-lock is set to NEVER otherwise the WLAN will keep disconnecting. Go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>AUTO-LOCK
