  • The image on the shroud is MYRRH. Myrrh is a liquid resin that comes from a tree, and it becomes hard, clear, and glossy. The body of Jesus was wrapped in 100lbs of myrrh and aloes. Although this was a 8 X 2 cubit cloth when you add myrrh and aloes that contain cellulose the shroud became light reflective, a coated film strip.

Under microscope the image is made with the formula, C6 H10 O5, (Myrrh) The Aloes on the Shroud contained cellulose and when exposed to light made the image.

  • @immattoneil 95% Really?! Why not post some links to these scientists or their findings, or post their names for us so we can read their scientific papers on the matter?.

  • Finding/proving the shroud, if there ever was one (since there is zero extra-biblical history of Jesus' existence), is right up there with finding the mythological Noah's ark. These people are taking their religion way too seriously. It's about as productive as looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Good job on wasting your life, Christians.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom Your statement really shows your ignorance of history or for that matter any real knowledge of historical writings.FYI; There are as far as known to date, over 70 writings from writers outside of any gospels mentioning Jesus...Also, I don't see following Christ and anything to do with him, wasting my life...but thanks for wasting your time on here.

  • @Flagrum3 Notice you don't mention one of those 70 extra-biblical writings of Jesus in your reply, probably because not a single one can be considered authentic. The New Testament itself is contradictory with anonymous authors written decades to centuries after Christ's supposed existence; furthermore, it seems non-historical from an inquisitive outsider's perspective. Confirmation bias is a waste of time, and obviously, the shroud is a faith based misinterpretation of the facts.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom I'll leave it up to you to search and find these writings as I did, it's not hard if you try! but I'll mention one; Josephus, a 1st century jewish writer within two generations of Christ's death.Scholours/historians find his writings to be authentic...just for one....Two of the gospels were writien within 30 years of Christ's death, fyi.

  • @Flagrum3 I think it's you who needs to do the research in the authentication of these ideas you have in your head. I don't need to pretend there's facts where there is none because I have nothing to lose.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom I've done plenty of research, obviously you haven't and Sure you have something to lose, your just too blind too see it.Oh and thanks again for coming on here wasting more of your life.

    Cheers

  • @Flagrum3 Notice, once again, you have nothing but pathetic replies. You're the one wasting your life since, obviously, you haven't done any research whatsoever. You named Josephus. I thing you should start there, and learn how his writing are not his own. Bring it on, if you have it, but if you don't, STFU.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom >Josephus's writings not his own? HogWash, this has been stated by only a few scholars but; MOST ALL EXPERTS IN THE FIELD OF ANCIENT WRITINGS AGREE MOST of JOSEPHUS'S WRITINGS ARE LEGIT'...Let me ask you a question; How many peer-reviewed documents relating to the Shroud have you read? and please point me too any peer-reviewed docs that show ANY points against the Shroud. If you can't find it in yourself to reasearch this properly, then I would tell YOU to STFU...understand!

  • @Flagrum3

ALL resent analysis show that the Shroud is a complete fraud, as expected because, obviously, religion is bullshit. One doesn't need to scientifically test whether or not a fairy-tale is real, one should just go see a psychologist for having such extreme cognitive dissidence instead. Confirmation bias is what you people thrive on. Conversation with people like you is worthless.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom Exactly what recent analysis are you talking about? Please point us to the where you received this information. You are like all others on youtube that refute the Shroud; You talk out of your ass! Get something thru that peabrain of yours.ALL studies on the Shroud show almost unanimously that it may be authentic Not me saying this, but experts of many fields which have studied the Shroud.Your perception of religion doesn't weight on this conversation that is just your 'opinion'

  • lol.....have fun sulking, kid.

  • atta boy matt!

TELL those arrogant Los Alamos labs guys!!

  • The shroud is fake:

A)A better copy has been made recently.

B)The painter confessed to Bishop Darcis, that he painted it, Read about it.

C)Carbon dating puts the origin in the Middle-Ages.

    D) The absolute silence of the Vatican about it. If it were authentic, they have the best evidence ever for christianity.

  • A) The "copy" has not been tested for ANYTHING, other than photo negative and 3D qualities.

The atheist italian which "reproduced" it gave a press release saying he "painted" it, and a photo of his work.

The media had a collective orgasm over the whole thing, writing "Shroud Reproduced" on page 1, whereas they put "Los Alamos invalidates C14 Tests on page 34C, right next to the riveting "Cat in tree" article.

(it was a miracle that the media even mentioned the Los Alamos thing at ALL)

  • When you look at the supposed "reproduction", the photo negative is nowhere NEAR the quality of the original (its like highschool art compared to a Van Gogh).

The photo negative qualities were distorted, with the cheeks higher than the nose, and grotesque bumps on the legs.

But far more importantly: Who in his right MIND would make a 3D photo negative "fake" in the middle ages in the FIRST PLACE?

  • Neither YOU, nor the media, nor the atheist group which supposedly "reproduced" the shroud can actually ADDRESS that little detail.

You SERIOUSLY think some bozo in the Middle ages invented the concept of photography, invented the concept of a 3D photo image analyzer, TOLD NO ONE, faked a shroud with these details on there when NO ONE in his day could have seen them, and then HOPED people would discover it in the future???

    hahahaha....thats a JOKE.

  • B) Yes, a Bishop in the Middle Ages claimed the Shroud had been "cunningly painted" by some clever artist who admitted the whole thing. BUT:

Pilgrims and their money were no loner going to HIS Cathedral.

He was losing both personal clout, political influence, and plenty of moolah.

AND: He had no IDEA just how "cunning" the painter would have had to have been, since the bishop and no one ELSE knew of the photo neg/3D qualities.

  • C) The Carbon Dating has been INVALIDATED. Are you deaf and blind?

You're watching a VIDEO from some of the Los Alamos Lab guys who did the work!!

Do YOU know more than Los Alamos Labs???

This was even reported on in the New York Times and LA Times online websites.

    Give......it......UP.

    D) The silence of the Vatican on the shroud is "evidence" for it being a fake?

The Vatican isn't silent on the matter. They say that historians and scientists are better placed to do the math.

  • Historians and scientists figuring out if the shroud is probably genuine is a more reasonable position than the church just declaring so because they feel like it.

And what do the historians and scientists say?

You obviously don't care, because youre SEEING a Los Alamos Labs guy give a lecture on science which invalidates the C14 tests, and you refuse to accept it.

    I forgot.....You are a higher authority.

  • correction on previous post:

    C) The Carbon Dating has been invalidated ???

(I forgot to put in the question marks, sorry).

  • Watch all five

  • that people cite the flaky davinci story instead of listening to los alamos labs is simply amazing.

  • Please keep in mind that Dan Brown is a Freemason. The mission of the Freemasons is to destroy Christendom, and any evidence that proves the divinity of Christ and His Ressurrection has to be destroyed. Imagine if the evidence of Christ rising from the dead is true, Judaism and Islam must immediately submit to the rule of Christ the King, and His Social Kingship of all. That just won't do. Freemasons teaches that all religions lead to heaven. All you have to do is be nice, BE REAL NICE.
