I supported Gravel in 2008 and this year I support Ron Paul. Both men have a constitutional and common sense approach that will end up helping the average American.
@adam3176 haha easy with the new world order nonsense alex jones...im sure that if anyone is not in on corporate americas scheme its this guy...carbon tax = people pissed about gas prices = demand on politicans for $ to go to investment for new technology...thats the point...they already give $4 billion of our tax money in subsidies to oil companies every year, dont hear you complaing about that??
It's kind of sad to realize how political our country has come to be, rather than intellectual. Mike Gravel is the real deal, and pity on all who cannot share his passion for honest leadership. I used to be an Obama supporter, but not anymore. Too bad we might be in for another term of political dishonesty instilled in our leaders.
@tyetye2011 Agreed. I voted for Obama, but now i'm kinda wishing I hadn't. Not necessarily because of anything Obama's done, just because he doesn't seem to be on the same level of reality as I'd appreciate him to be.
Mike Gravel - I sure hope he runs for President in 2012 no matter 'how old' he is. Out of all you have to choose from, he's the only HONEST person... speaking the truth... with passion, and would NOT buckle in Politics as usual. If he runs again, I'll contribute all I can, and do what I can to help. Obama already buckled, which has been a shame.
@lakelandpi I'd like to see Mike Gravel vs. Ron Paul in 2012. They're the only ones that care about our Constitution and basic human rights and decency. I'd be comfortable with either being president.
You're right, they're the ones honest. But Mike Gravel is an idiot (or maybe just a bad debater, or bad truth-bringer) and Dennis Kucinich's policies are too leftist.
I don't think Dennis is too leftish. He wants to use the tax-payers money more wisely. Such as investing in education, health care etc. I believe that's the kind of President america is in need for. Mike is a good debater, he stands there and exposes everyone on the stage. I don't think he intentionally was running for office, but telling the truth to the american people.

hell no, why vote for this douche? he wants to simply let immigrants live here! im all for letting immigrants live here BUT! they must know english, have no criminal record, have no disease, and no criminal record, i thin we must get strict on immigration and this guy wants to just let them "walk in" to this country
he was the only candidate I could have voted for (I'm from Europe, so I'm not in the position to vote). Interestingly, except one single point (his views on gun ownership) everything he says is so refrehsingly unamerican (atypical of American politics and culture) and might as well be said by any given European politician (well, not any, but let's say any German, French, British, Scandinavian and so forth politician). I assume he is the only honest one on the race right now.
Yeah violence is going to exist as long as we have coercive states and violent individuals. I dont like violence as much as anyone else but that is not going to stop someone else (that works for the state or not) for whatever reason chooses to kill or rob someone else.

To be fair Bill Clinton was nosing around in Foreign countries and wire tapping citizens. Presidents do this when the big government types are elected. Bush simply did not make excuses for the illegal things he has done or force legislation that condones it. That is what has brought to the surface an uncomfortable conversation for the country. People like to point fingers but both parties are big government and neither work.

The whole god damned process is rigged from start to finish. Mike Huckabee or John McCain are the next president. Hilary and Obama are just fall guys.
Sadly the last debate Gravel was in. The corporate media and Hillary Clinton threw him out after this great performance. Don't let special interests dictate the outcome! Mike Gravel 2008!
Very true, im kinda split on this subject, i understand what hes trying to say. Really we're not going to get rid of all the illegals, i say have them pay a fee of around 1500 or so and actaully make them tax payers, instead of syphons.
Mike Gravel took the words out of my mouth. THIS IS WHAT AMERICA NEEDS, an HONEST AND SUPPORTIVE GOVERNMENT THAT WANTS TO SEE IT'S CITIZENS SUCCEED. THAT'S WHY AMERICA HAS A CLOCK ON IT'S RESOURCES, BECAUSE WE'RE NOT FOCUSING ON OUR RESOURCES...GETING OFF GASOLINE AND CARBON IS NOT A DREAM, ITS A REALITY THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IF THIS MAN IS ELECTED.
mr. gravel sees the big picture, makes the most sense and speaks the truth. i only wish he had a chance, but he doesn't under our broken system--he isn't even invited to all the debates.
My favorite guy is Gravel. Second it's Kucinich. Third it's Ron Paul. Since Ron Paul is the only one with a real chance, it is wise to register as a Republican and vote in the primaries for Ron Paul. And, donate to Ron Paul on the 16th at the Boston Tea Party. Cheers!
ahahahaha!!!! it took me a minute but i just realized who gravel body doubles for...kevin mccarthy : especially his cameo reprisal role in the '79 movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers..."THEY'RE COMING!! THEY'RE HERE!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!! RUN!!! LISTEN TO ME!!!"
Reasons you should consider donating, what he will do for the U.S. as President; Bring peace in the middle east, Bring the troops home in 120 days, Education paid for pre-school to scholarship, Empower the citizens as lawmakers, Eliminate the IRS & Income Tax, End the war on drugs, Universal healthcare for all, Bring equality for gay rights, etc.
Hear his plans at: youtubeDOTcom/gravel2008 & gravel2008DOTus
Why donate? Mike ended the military draft, saving thousands of lives worldwide. And he exposed the lies of Vietnam with the Pentagon Papers. As president he will put the citizens in power, together we will fix our government & vote on policies that affect our everyday life.

Mike Gravel is great. He is anti-nativist, he sees immigrants as human beings, he is anti-war, and he has real plans for the future. Vote for substance and sanity. Vote for Gravel!

Give the finger to the system by donating some money to a man that helped stop the draft, end nuclear testing in the south Pacific and released documents exposing US covert operation in South Asia.
good video. i liek this guy. as most people have been saying, it gets sticky at the border issue. i think he dislikes the idea of an actual fence rather than just patrolling more effectively.
Ron Paul. How about we use our Constitution people. Or since we are supposedly trying to bring freedom to Iraq we could rent our Constitution to them after all we're not using it.
as far as the drinking age is considered-- the fact that Hilary laughs at it and that it gained a sort of comical response is a shame that people don't take the subject seriously.
I like most of what Mike Gravel says. The only issue is when it comes to our borders. Ron Paul also acknowleges that the latino popul. is being scapegoated because of our failing economy. They both want our troops to get the hell out of there. Ron Paul vs Mike Gravel or Prez. Ron Paul and Vice Prez. Mike Gravel. Imagine a rep. and dem. in the White House. Unity at last.
He didn't adress that issue, but he gets back on track afterward. If his partner is Ron Paul, who is going to secure the border, then there is nothing to worry about.
You people are missing the point, he wasn't answering the question in terms of national security, which is idiotic to begin with. he was answering it in terms of what makes america america, that is, immigrants! Each and every one of us is descendent of immigrants without acception. He wasn't looking at new immigrants as possible enemies, but as human beings who, like our own ancestors, wanted change. Stop being so self centered people.
he is our only hope .. i repeat .. our only hope! do not watch CNN tonight .. watch mikes alternative debate since he was excluded again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never said they were; but it's also a very important issue to me. I'd be very, very unlikely to ever vote for someone who wanted to ban guns (such as Obama or Hillary). The latter having such a skewed view of it all that she wants to ban "assault" rifles (really just semi-automatic long guns, but "assault" sounds so much more evil) and not handguns. Ignore the fact that 99% of gun-related murders happen with HANDGUNS.
Please register at this website and spread the word people.
teaparty07 . com
Our goal is to get 100,000 people registered and each one of them will give a 100 dollar donation...that makes a total of 10,000,000 HUGE BUCKS! Just think of the exposure Ron Paul will get...pure madness! We need him and he needs us. Please register and please spread the word =)
Never heard of him before or his opinions, but he just won at least a more thorough examination of his viability by me. If his views on drugs/guns are where I'd like them to be, he has my vote.
He wants the whole country to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. Thats insane! He's ashamed of a fence being built on the border. Thats easy for someone who lives in Alaska to say. Let him move down to the border.
Creating a border is 3rd world....we are not China and a border won't prevent shit. They will find a way to get through weather above or below ground and thats the plain truth. That kind of thinking doesn't solve the issue...you must find the root of the cause. All they want is a better live so why not help them and their country live a better life instead of showering money into the middle east. Just follow the money
Make sure to donate to Mike Gravel's campaign on Tuesday October 30th to protest his exclusion from the Democratic debate and fire up his campaign! Pass the word along to anyone who believes that truly real and honest voices are vital to an open democracy!
If you're grateful that those dear to you have live without fear of being drafted into unjust wars, thank Mike Gravel. His courage helped end the draft during Vietnam, and he will end the war in Iraq.
Please click on my login name and check out my $25,000 Mike Gravel video contest. I think its bogus that Senator Gravel has such great ideas but the media generally doesn't care since he doesn't have enough money behind him. Hopefully people will put together some great videos!
Gravel and Ron Paul are mirror opposites here...especially on immigration, carbon taxes, world police, energy.
Gravel's great at spotting the problem, but his solutions are simply for more government. Ron Paul is for allowing the private sector to solve the problems without government intervention.
The country needs to recognize Mike Gravel. This is our country. We tell our elected officials how to represent us. Let's leave fantasy land and wake up!!! GIVE US GRAVEL OR GIVE US DEATH!
Ron Paul Supporters will never support Gravel purely because Gravel thinks he can dictate energy reform by taxing. Those of us that support Ron Paul hate taxes and will not support a candidate that promotes them. However, many of us appreciate other things about Gravel and like him far more than the rest of the Dems
I love Sen. Gravel I think he will make a beyond-belief great president. The National Initiative alone is like the sweetest thing a Presidential Candidate has eveer done! He wants to transfer the power back to the hands of the people, & I find that simply incredible, & you bet your ass I'm gonna support him all the way!
Gravel blows all the candidates out of the water.Even the celebrated Ron Paul cant touch Gravels gutsy style.Paul is weak and talks about deregulating everything, thinking the market should and does a better job controlling things; including health care! This is the trickle down theory aka Reganomics aka bullshit!
And Ron Paul wants me and everyone else to pay NO income taxes. Trickle down to me time : 1/2 an hour to write the bill, 2 seconds to sign it. Healthcare? The more money government's going to throw at the problem, the WORSE its going to get. Health costs more money due to inflation, hospitals forced to treat everyone that walks in the door, and corporatism, supported by big government, *NOT* the free market..
Well O Well, what can i say... this man speaks a very blunt truth but unfortunately, truth doesn't matter to Americans anymore. I used to be an American supporter but now... meh
This man is fantastic! He's an outstanding candidate -- honest, earthy, human, smart as hell. Great ideas. Passionate. Makes everyone else look like jerks.
i think hillary and all the rest of them are business as usual corp whores, they wont even try to fix america, because they are getting paid by it being broken.
I supported Gravel in 2008 and this year I support Ron Paul. Both men have a constitutional and common sense approach that will end up helping the average American.

Sadly the last debate Gravel was in. The corporate media and Hillary Clinton threw him out after this great performance. Don't let special interests dictate the outcome! Mike Gravel 2008!

Every country has the right to defend and protect its border; I see no problem with building a fence.

THAT'S WHY AMERICA HAS A CLOCK ON IT'S RESOURCES, BECAUSE WE'RE NOT FOCUSING ON OUR RESOURCES...GETING OFF GASOLINE AND CARBON IS NOT A DREAM, ITS A REALITY THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IF THIS MAN IS ELECTED.
k1jas 4 years ago 4
mr. gravel sees the big picture, makes the most sense and speaks the truth. i only wish he had a chance, but he doesn't under our broken system--he isn't even invited to all the debates.

RUN!!! LISTEN TO ME!!!"

good video. i liek this guy. as most people have been saying, it gets sticky at the border issue. i think he dislikes the idea of an actual fence rather than just patrolling more effectively.

Ron Paul. How about we use our Constitution people. Or since we are supposedly trying to bring freedom to Iraq we could rent our Constitution to them after all we're not using it.

That's why ron paul is better, we need to close our borders, it is wrong to open our borders, it is dangerous.

as far as the drinking age is considered-- the fact that Hilary laughs at it and that it gained a sort of comical response is a shame that people don't take the subject seriously.
NewYorkHouston 4 years ago
seriously, open borders? I was starting to like this guy too.
detatchedsr 4 years ago
I like most of what Mike Gravel says. The only issue is when it comes to our borders. Ron Paul also acknowleges that the latino popul. is being scapegoated because of our failing economy. They both want our troops to get the hell out of there. Ron Paul vs Mike Gravel or Prez. Ron Paul and Vice Prez. Mike Gravel. Imagine a rep. and dem. in the White House. Unity at last.
Tasadaru 4 years ago 2
He's ok until he gets to securing our borders.
Bobcat14Ammo 4 years ago
He didn't adress that issue, but he gets back on track afterward. If his partner is Ron Paul, who is going to secure the border, then there is nothing to worry about.
Sam666gelber 4 years ago
Gravel addresses the border issue at the PBS debates...of course that's mainly catering to the minority caucus.
Bobcat14Ammo 4 years ago
You people are missing the point, he wasn't answering the question in terms of national security, which is idiotic to begin with. he was answering it in terms of what makes america america, that is, immigrants! Each and every one of us is descendent of immigrants without acception. He wasn't looking at new immigrants as possible enemies, but as human beings who, like our own ancestors, wanted change. Stop being so self centered people.
DoctorSensitive 4 years ago
he is our only hope .. i repeat .. our only hope! do not watch CNN tonight .. watch mikes alternative debate since he was excluded again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jbledsoe86 4 years ago 3
I never said they were; but it's also a very important issue to me. I'd be very, very unlikely to ever vote for someone who wanted to ban guns (such as Obama or Hillary). The latter having such a skewed view of it all that she wants to ban "assault" rifles (really just semi-automatic long guns, but "assault" sounds so much more evil) and not handguns. Ignore the fact that 99% of gun-related murders happen with HANDGUNS.

If you think about it any position you take on immagration is dangerous. Mike Gravel just makes sence.
Tellinhowitis121 4 years ago
He wants the whole country to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. Thats insane! He's ashamed of a fence being built on the border. Thats easy for someone who lives in Alaska to say. Let him move down to the border.
gottogosome 4 years ago
Creating a border is 3rd world....we are not China and a border won't prevent shit. They will find a way to get through weather above or below ground and thats the plain truth. That kind of thinking doesn't solve the issue...you must find the root of the cause. All they want is a better live so why not help them and their country live a better life instead of showering money into the middle east. Just follow the money
Tellinhowitis121 4 years ago

If you're grateful that those dear to you have live without fear of being drafted into unjust wars, thank Mike Gravel. His courage helped end the draft during Vietnam, and he will end the war in Iraq.

PAUL/GRAVEL...2008
ronpaul2oo8 4 years ago
Gravel and Ron Paul are mirror opposites here...especially on immigration, carbon taxes, world police, energy.
Gravel's great at spotting the problem, but his solutions are simply for more government. Ron Paul is for allowing the private sector to solve the problems without government intervention.

The other candidates are fu..ing crazy!
If Bush invades Iran we could head to a nuclear exchange, of the consequences unimaginable!
And how do they act?
Hillary laughs and Obama wasn't even there to vote!
Who needs these people? I'm with Gravel, hope you are two.
varsej 4 years ago 6
Ron Paul Supporters will never support Gravel purely because Gravel thinks he can dictate energy reform by taxing. Those of us that support Ron Paul hate taxes and will not support a candidate that promotes them. However, many of us appreciate other things about Gravel and like him far more than the rest of the Dems
DeuceMackey 4 years ago
I love Sen. Gravel I think he will make a beyond-belief great president. The National Initiative alone is like the sweetest thing a Presidential Candidate has eveer done! He wants to transfer the power back to the hands of the people, & I find that simply incredible, & you bet your ass I'm gonna support him all the way!
rancidguy420 4 years ago 3
if Ron Paul includes that national initiative agenda in his platform he'll for sure flatten the competition.
fearonism 4 years ago
I like the guy simply because he called out (ON NATIONAL TELEVISION!!) Hillary on her vote to support Bush in an attack against Iran.
conquesimo 4 years ago 7
Gravel blows all the candidates out of the water.Even the celebrated Ron Paul cant touch Gravels gutsy style.Paul is weak and talks about deregulating everything, thinking the market should and does a better job controlling things; including health care! This is the trickle down theory aka Reganomics aka bullshit!
zoticus1 4 years ago 5
And Ron Paul wants me and everyone else to pay NO income taxes. Trickle down to me time : 1/2 an hour to write the bill, 2 seconds to sign it. Healthcare? The more money government's going to throw at the problem, the WORSE its going to get. Health costs more money due to inflation, hospitals forced to treat everyone that walks in the door, and corporatism, supported by big government, *NOT* the free market..
