@jacsonrmk i understand you but at the same time this isnt the 80's....cant change the sings as if they never meant anything....love the rest of the members of melon and they have such great talent but i think they should start another band and create music.....because in my opinion blind melon is and never will be the same....RIP Shannon... You know I have been a fan of Melon since 1992 and the passing of Shannon was very traggic. When they found Travis and started again I was so happy. He was a great find and this was a great album. Sadly Travis departed. Hopefully they can figure it out again. Melon was all about the music and when you listen to For my Friends it is still Melon! Totally Melon

I agree, Blind Melon had some great guitarist. Early 90's rock was really the last generation gun slingers.. Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Kim Thayil of Soundgarden... Some modern rock bands would sound so much better if they actually played some guitar melodies rather then a few limited power chords... cough cough Nickleback cough cough

Really solid tune - catchy melody and riffs, and this guy can belt it out. It's really mixed well - surprised that it didn't get more air time on mainstream radio. Powerful lyrics. It doesn't have to be compared to Shannon Hoon - stands up on it's own. Shannon was a whole other level of talent and he left a bit before his time.
