@ibanezgeorge ... yet I cannot find a single concrete proposal for reform on any of their websites. I do not support O.W.S. because of this- it doesn't have good direction.
My issue with this movie is that i is being compared to an Arab nation's transition from tyranny to democracy and the work of MLK. Those two movements have way more substance that O.W.S.
@ibanezgeorge I recognize that our financial system has flaws and as a current undergraduate student, you do not have to tell me about the financial demands of a college education.
I also recognize that the way our government has handled the financial crisis has been poor bipartisanly.
It's not that I don't support grass roots political movements- quite the contrary actually. However, O.W.S. has a rather lofty goal (economic reform and, to some extent, government reform) yet I cannot find on
honestly. this movie is trying to draw a parallel from the Arab Spring, a movement that has created a new country, to Occupy Wall Street- a movement that doesn't even have an agenda besides creating a giant road block
@yaboytoby I disagree. First of all the American tax system is completely fucked up. It's fucked up when someone like Warren Buffet says it's fucked up. He pays less of a percentage than his secretary does. That makes no sense. He's in the top 5 of the wealthiest people in the world, yet he paid 17 million dollars in taxes. The system has failed. Secondly, these kids are going to university/college and paying 35 grand a semester, only to come out with 200 grand in debt, and no jobs.
@yaboytoby Sure, it's their own fault for getting a useless degree (ex: political science). Also the price of living is going up, rent/housing is expensive, the price of food is sky-rocketing, but workers wages aren't going up, they are in fact going down. It's not fair, corporations have never made so much money. Their profits are at an all time high. Politics are completely corrupt, politicians don't care about the people, they only care about being elected, or re-elected.
@yaboytoby 'But it costs a lot of money to run for president, senator, governor, you need millions of dollars. So in order to get millions, they have to ask the wealthy. The wealthy will only invest if it benefits them (lower taxes, loop-holes in the system) so therefore the system has to work in their favour and not the average joe's, or else they won't give anyone a dime. The only reason we have government is so shit like this doesn't happen, but it did happen, so no shit people are pissed.
@yaboytoby We need governments to look after the people's best interest, not corporations, or billionaires. Seriously, you don't see it now, but our kid's generation, and our kid's kids generation is going to be completely different. They won't have the same luxuries as we once did. So yes there is an agenda. Stop the wars, fix the fucking tax system, and get money out of politics.
today there is no need to know what religion are you floowing or what country yu live in. we are all free human beings.. Love to all of you from japan to hawai..
revolution now... we are the people, we will not sit around eating cake and watching sports on tv while people starve to line the coffers of a handful of supremicists
Liars, hypocrites, thieves and murderers....posing as the legal and moral standards for the world. Evil is afoot in the world.

The police should smile and show solidarity with the protesters because there is nothing more American than protesting.
