your right jandre: iam considering turning this youtube video to the IRS for possible IRS vialtions.once i get permission from youtube, i will investigate this matter
It's ok for a paster to preach on the issues, but they cannot as a church endorse a particular candidate.
I think the church has sold its soul by getting involved in politics in the first place. The church should preach Jesus and Him crucified and the Kingdom of God.
Neither McCain nor Obama is a good representation of Christianity or Jesus. Christians are called to be separate from the world. Yes, it is important to be part of the voting process, but that's not our only hope. Jesus is
Here's an idea: find out the names of the attorneys who are advising these pastors to blatently violate the law (Hint: it's a violation of the Canons of Legal Ethics to do so.). Then, file complaints against these individual attorneys in the respective states where they hold a license to practice law.
Facing disbarment for unethical conduct will give the shysters at the "Alliance Defense Fund" in Arizona something round & hard to suck on.
I keep seeing the headline about pastors endorsing "candidates". WTF? They are endorsing McCain: candidate, singular, not plural. The Dems are still against breaking down the division tween church and state.
or, more likely, this is just the beginning. Besides, religious interference will never stop, it will only change costumes. Revolutionary War, Civil War, Cold War, JFK, Scopes, Roe v. Wade, MLK, the ACLU - all born out of religious conflict. Secularism is just another permutation, and the wars won't stop soon.
