I play with a pick because I like the sound of it a little better than playing with my fingers and I didn't really feel like playing with my fingers when I made this video. Also if you watch Weezer play this live or if you watch the music video, the bass player plays this song WITH a pick. And no I don't play regular guitar.

Bass is pretty difficult, just about half of songs nowadays are laid-back and just have 4 simutanious notes going over and over and have a singer change up the highs and lows and theres your song.

Songs who stray from that rule tend to have hard basslines.
