  • A $80 shooting session! ;) ... But I must say it's worth it! I love my 110BA...

  • More quality stuff from Finland!

  • Im pretty sure that was on rosersbergs skjutbana in sweden am I rigth?

  • @sweboy1337 Nope... ; )

  • I'm in love with that "plop" sound when you put the round in :)

  • in finnish army, we shoot that almost every day :))

  • @pikkupaska81 of course, its made in finland!

and don't forget Simo "Valkoinen Kuolema" Häyhä is finnish!

he got 505 confirmed kills during WWII using only a modified Mosin-Nagant!

i wonder what he could get if he got his hands on one of these beast....

  • @joesetra heheh :D indeed ;)

  • Guns are a drug so addictive :)

  • I prefer drugs AND guns

  • that looks like it would be a pain in the ass to haul around

  • THAT SOUND

  • Thats our gun :)

  • DUDE!!!! It's frickin' Captain Price!!!

    Seriously though,

I'm thinking of purchasing that exact rifle except in green. Does the rifle perform better with any particular brand of ammo? I'm new to .338LM

    Also, any scope suggestions?

  • This guys a smooth shoot. Nice work mate. also, Fucking love that gun! blimey it rocks the table! Hahaha!

  • Absolutly love your epic beard...

  • nuthin' like a rifle that can actually give you a hard-on. A real beauty!

  • holy shit look at that bullet holy crap lol

  • 4 dislike are drug addicts...

  • @dslayer911 Drug addicts are broken missguided victims of them selves and other people with out hearts and souls, drugs how ever could be anything from Oreos to Heroin.

  • @dslayer911 Drug addicts are broken missguided victims of them selves and other people with out hearts and souls, drugs how ever could be anything from Oreos to Heroin.

  • @StantheGunman indeed...

  • How smooth is that bolt action? Mmm... like butt-ttaahh!

  • he hardscoped

  • How much did your sako cost ?

  • Every time the trigger is pulled, a $5.00 bill flies out of the barrel. But it's five bucks well spent if you've got it. Ammo is damn expensive. Do you handload?

  • @AgaMbadi Yeah that's what I was thinking too; perhaps the reason why most people persist with drugs is because it's a cheaper habit? ;-) I reckon handloading would be a necessity; even fresh brass is several bucks a piece.

  • lol they should build shooting ranges instead of drug rehabs.

  • @yoyomin Indeed! :)

  • 1:32 Drugs to this!!

  • Me likes!

  • I totally called him regretting to put that ear muff on.

  • whatta kick! =)

  • well any time SWEEET HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • grew up shooting in the country, i'm in the city for now (school) and can't shoot much (glock 23 at the local range every now and again, won't allow big calibre). Vid's like these make my day : ) and somebody said this already but i can't agree more when you said "I don't know how anybody could prefer drugs to this..." words of wisdom. I say "A gun for every home, and the sense to use that gun responsibly!!!!" HAPPY SHOOTING!! : )

  • Who wears sunglasses shooting a rifle?

  • @22reTOYOTA I do, when there is snow all over the place. Why?

  • @StantheGunman Sorry, I could not get used to to them. There are filters made for scopes. Butler Creek makes a few types.

  • @StantheGunman

    But there's no snow :(

  • @22reTOYOTA Badasses

  • "I don't know how anyone could prefer drugs to this...", that line's pure gold

  • I kept saying, "Ear muff Stan, EAR MUFF STAN!" when were aiming your first shot... Gotta know how long your ear rang afterwards.

As far as SAKO rifles are concerned that is one fine piece of equipment you're shooting there. I was looking into an Accuracy International AW in .338 Lapua. Either way it's big bucks for a long range setup like that.

  • @TJC18201

I was so exited I forgot ;) . Yeap it rang like h*ll... It did!

The AI is of course a fantastic piece of equipment, but its far to expensive compared to the Sako, at least for me.

  • I want one. You lucky bugger.

    Sako is Finnish, right?

I wonder what would happened if Simo Hayha got his hands on it...

  • holy shit. love the camera shake.

  • On the road tonight away from home for last few. Thanks. Sort of got my shooting fix. Missing it and starting to develop a twitch. Also now I want a 338 lapua trg. Cheers

  • I wouldn't call it the best sniper's rifle of all time.

I love the rifle, but I prefer to use 2 different rifles for two different ranges.

400-800 meters I use my SR-25 carbine, and outwards of 800+ I use my Remington 700 300. WSM

    Amazing rifle nevertheless.

  • @colorblindvids I agree, The AR system and a well tuned Remington 700 are great value. But none of them hits as hard as the 338 on that range ;)

  • @StantheGunman True, and I hope to get a 338. rifle in the future, but that 300 WSM tears boars, coyotes, and deer up!

  • @colorblindvids

Hunting with higher speed type ammunition is always tricky. I guess high speed hunting calibers really needs high quality bullets not cause massive OVER destruction. No fun to destroy meat you could eat ;)

  • @StantheGunman Well, I was being figurative :P

It does a good job, aim for the head (since my family doesn't eat the brain xD) and the destruction isn't really a problem.

  • @colorblindvids I guess that it depends a bit of what purpose you are using the rifle. 29 different armies/police forces around the globe uses Sako TRG 42 or TRG 22, and there's reason for it. Of course, there isn't "one best" rifle, since no rifle can meet all the requirements for perfection - it is impossible. 338. is way stronger than some smaller calibre ammo, but also slower. So I guess that you should always have, like you said, two rifles. For me, they're TRG 22 and TRG 42 ;)

  • @OnlyLifeMatters Well, I'm sure the Sako TRG-22 is a great rifle, I've never had a change to handle it. But I find my SR-25C a good choice for rapid deployment, quick target acquisition, and very fast follow up shots. I just like the speed in smaller distances, is all :)

  • @StantheGunman Mate........how many fucking guns u have not saying its a bad thing i would love to have all those gun lol how do u afford it? how many do u have? (guns)

  • Lucky Bastard!

  • @7SwitzerlandAustria7

    Well, thank you!

  • @StantheGunman I life in the Dutch and here i cant shoot rifles :(

  • we Finnish know how to make great riffles :)

But usually we skip guns and just use our fists and occasionally a knife ;D

    he he :D

  • Now that's the Finnish guts!

  • I'm going to get one of these for dealing with feral cats, one day...

  • Well, drugs are probably cheaper than this but I have to say shooting is a much better high.

  • You are the man... I've never met or heard of a single person other than my father who thinks shooting can be for fun. I think an accurate guess of 76% of the people in the world think that guns are or were made for killing.

  • Finns know how to do rifles

  • I hope to buy one in .338 Lapua magnum soon, but the Sako's a bit expensive though.I'll have to save up lots though.

  • @MarineAqua45 Expensive to shot too, but the Sako is worth every penny ;)

  • @StantheGunman.Yes,you're certainly right about the gun being expensive to shoot&handloading the bullets is possibly the cheapest option, from Henry Krank,a UK gun retailer. When I get one,I take great delight,in shooting it.Keep on collecting Stan& I hope you grandly increase your collecton of guns.

  • @StantheGunman

couldt his gun kill a grizzly bear?

  • @andrewvanrhoberts

Yeas, but why use a long range rifle for that? A 450 Marlin would be better.

  • @MarineAqua45

lol. if you have to "save up" for a trg, you have no need to be purchasing a 338LM. there is no way you could ever afford to shoot it! Buy a 22 in 308 or a 42 in 300win. 1/5 the cost to shoot.

  • i hope i will get to shoot this when i go to army

  • i prefer weed to this .....

  • Great gun! great video!

  • meth is better

  • Says someone who said good bye to his brians, bye bye!

  • @tubestick00 lol

  • That sound of the .338 Lapua Mag never gets old

  • My big brother has Sako TRG-42 and Sako TRG -21.He says that there are no big differences between 21 and 22,but with -42 is that it shoots over km.

  • there are so many great ones now, barret 98B, B+T .338, timberwolf c14, DSA SRS..,AI AW...ETC.

  • Thats true, all of those are magnificent! Its just a matter of taste, and money. Very fine rifles for an excellent long range caliber.

  • Sako TRG 42 and Lapua .338 ammo. The absolute Finnish combo, making this rifle maybe the best one in the whole world.

  • The .338 round was developed by the Americans. It was originally called the .338-416 developed by RAI, but the cases used were too weak to reach the military specs required and it was dropped. Lapua picked up the round and strengthened the case and got it standardized under their name.

  • @disturbedone5009

Oh, never knew that. Thanks, always nice to learn new things!

  • I went to a gun show and they had an EDM Arms in .338 LM. That rifle is awesome. I just don't have $5000 for a rifle. The .338 LM is a beastly round though.

  • @disturbedone5009

Yes, americans were first to discover the secrets of .338 round, but you have to realize that everything else is new except the caliber itself. And like you said it didn´t work as planned. So really, can you say you are developing something that don´t even work?

  • The .338 Lapua Magnum is identical to the American .338-416 in almost every way except the case strength which allowed them to push the round to fast enough to meet the military requirements. The .338 caliber bullet had been in use for a long time before the .338 LM.

  • @disturbedone5009 based on the british .416 rigby if you keep reading wiki :) i have seen that page, and nice selective copying there

  • Still the round is an American design.

  • @disturbedone5009 But the gun that fires the round may easily be the best anti-personell rifle in the entire world. Give some credit.

  • @OnlyLifeMatters

I never said the rifle wasn't good I was just replying to someone saying the .338 LM is a Finnish round.

  • @Zombibombi62 Only could make it better with Molotov Cocktails!

  • Im getting one of these, gonna see if i can buy it next week or so, looking forward to testing it out on the range.

    Nice video

    -Dan

  • Ohh :D I love the TRG but it's to bloody loud. In my country guns are forbidden. You have to be a "big bug" to have a gun. I'm joining the police next year and I hope I'll be allowed to target practice as long as I want. Anyways that TRG is loud and at the moment I can have just .22, .17's with silencer/suppressor so that no one could hear me. Well cheers mate!

  • lol call of duty guile suit mission. Captain price did the same thing.

  • got to love military sniper rifles. engineered to kick the victim into next week while you don't get your shoulder ripped up. well, some of the time. how do they reduce the recoil like that?

  • There really isnt much recoil to speak of actually. The people att Sako made an excellnet job designin the stock and, even more important. A superb muzzle break! I have shot old ugly crumy hunting rifles i smaller calibers that kicks much worse. the Sako TRG may be a beast, but its a pussycat to shot!

  • shock wave blurs the camra

  • uuuhhh drugs are cheaper lol

  • yes but hey ruin your health and in the long run this might come up cheeper and lots more fun

  • Yeap, but whats the but in ruining your self on cheap stuff? ;)

  • you know who this man reminds me of? he reminds me of the Character "Mike Watts" for the TV show SPACED.

  • i'll tell you what. Your Breathing patterns are really awkward. You should work on your breathing techneque. it'll REALLY improve your shot. Good Luck

    -Mike

  • Thanks, dont take this pice of video to seriuos. It was the first rounds ever fired of me in 338Lapua..

  • Sweet. ATM im with the Army Cadet Force. and im Shooting 5.56mm Rounds. From the L98A1. Great fun :D. -Mike

  • Sako, Lapua & Finland FTW

  • How much? What scope?

  • A lot

  • Beautiful gun. What was the distance you were shooting at?

  • Ha ha.. ;-D Happy as a clown.. I can surely understand you :)

  • this is my favourite sniper becouse its made in there where i am born... FINLAND!!!!!!

  • i'm sure drugs are cheaper and easier to get.

    where are you from?

  • And a lot less caracter improving...

  • Been there, done that.. Loved it.

  • TRG, Lapua, Made in Finland.. ;)

  • Ah, so you're in Sweden?

I was going to say - surely NONE of this hardware is legal in England, Scotland or Wales.

  • The bolt actions must be legal at least?

  • so smooth bolt :D

  • Yeas indeed! :D

  • I gotta say that when ur speaking english.. i cannot hear any accent :O

  • If a a slight Sommerset accent then? ;)

  • dunno :D

  • Dude, wherebouts you live, how'd you get away from UK gun laws?

  • fuck yes 338 lapua win mag is def my fav round from any gun

  • a brit that loves his firearms thats good. give you hand shake if i could

  • it kicks asses!

  • I was looking for a sako trg 42 338. just like that one and i found one under 3k thats a amazing deal, cause thinking the barret is cool, its really anti personnel , its good but its over 10k

  • xDDD that was funny

    IM IN LOVE!!!

  • Man that is so badass reloading it!

  • Actually theres a magazine but.... Dunno why he reloaded like that....

  • Why use a magasine on a range? I simply prefer to load one shoot at the time. Thats all...

  • if i could i would buy some of my favourite weapons and go almost everyday to a target range....

i still cant cuz im 15 years old and i dont have money to buy them xD

  • that gun is huge

  • I love this guy! :DD You Rock!!

  • sweet lookin rifle u got there ,

im thinking of getting 1 but in green ^^

How much did ur rifle cost (incl bipod , scope ect.) ?

  • my buddy just got the green one, for about 3000 dollars.

  • Great video! Those TRGs are works of art. However you did make my ears bleed sympathetically when you touched off that first round without your hearing protection on!

  • Thnx, your the first that noticed it!;)

  • i was just thinkin that.,.how long did the ringing last..lol

  • Yeah you must have felt that man.

  • Hi!Hi! Still do.. ;)

  • Hey how much are these rifles? Also how much for .338 ammunition?

  • They are expensive...And the shoots cost about 15usd per shot.

  • This may sound weird, but who here plays Call of Duty 4? Lol I do, also I love this rifle, I always have, it looks the business and packs a punch.

    If I couldn't get a Sako TRG-42 my next choice would L115A3.

  • Same here!

  • DAMN! that looks fun to shoot XD

  • Lol...drugs versus shooting extremely powerful sniper rifles...

  • Well that's a lot of recoil, I wonder if it can use any other catridge? It only use the .338 Lapua, right?

  • also fires the .308 NATO and the .300WinMag

  • NOT the same rifle, similar but not the same, completly diffrent housing and bolt length.

  • Mixed to M40A3?

  • siis öö... jos tää liitty siihen kaliperi kommenttii ni meinasin vaa et tota Sakon TRG:tä saa kolmes kaliperis tosin tuo 308 oli muistaakseni TRG-22.

  • Sorry, dont understad a word what your saying...

But the TRG-22 is made on a shorter mechanism, this is a TRG-42.

The TRG-22 is a damned good rifle too!

  • He shoots .338 rounds

  • You can get them in 300win mag. There isnt much recoil to speak of due to the exellent break.

  • How does this rifle compare to your Remington 700 stan? I've got a 700 in 30-06 and bought it cause of the cheap price ($900AU new). Whats the TRG42 set back?

  • Cant be compared, I have a Rem 700 police in 308. Good rifles, but a Sako TRG i a pure race horse! The rifle alone is 3000usd!!! The shots are some 12usd per round! It shoots up to 1500meters and still has power, its an awesome machine!

  • What kind of precision are you getting out of it?

Have you ever shot a Accuracy International AW in 338? Trying to gauge if the Ai is actually worth the additional 3g. Ik now Sako makes amazing products though.

  • This video made me happy as a clown! :) thanks. You're really funny and cool and seem like a nice dude. :)

  • Get some 50.cal dude xD

  • Bold statement, what caliber?

  • I realy want one of these rifles but the cheapest i could find one was $3600 (canadian) and the cheapest i could find the TRG-22 was $3000, and the guy at my local gun store told me that a box of 338 lapua was around $50 a box, so its a lil out of my price range

  • They are ver pricy, but a TRG 22 is 308(7.62x51Nato)so its not to expensive to shoot. The TRG 42...That is expensive in 338L indeed, But the TRG 42 can be had in 300win mag too. A lot cheaper to own than the 338.

  • i love the drug line, should bring that to an aa meeting!

  • 308 is more powerfull that 7.62?

  • I think they are the same?

  • 7.62? You mean 7.62x51Nato perhaps, no they are not the same, but soo close that most 7.62x51Nato chamberd rifles can fire the 308. But the 308 is actually loaded to higher preasusure. But they share the exact dimensions!

This rifle is a 338Lapua magnum, it dwarfs a 308/7.62x51Nato!

  • that's what I meant(dimension). I'm also aware that you are using 338Lapua in this video. "I'm from Finland, ofcourse I know Lapua and Sako."

  • That action looks SO smooth. I'm drooling.

  • its the smoothest bolt action I have ever handeld!

  • "Im in love!" Nice gun dude

  • who wouldn't be gitty firing that

  • Does the US or British Army use this?
