@shbehncke This turbine really is not a very efficient means of powering pretty much anything as you would need to implement some form of gearing to lower the RPM and then a high volume, high pressure source of air to power the turbine as when at a useable power it requires more than 200L/min of air.
Perhaps a piston powered air-engine as they are as efficient as you can get with compressed air power sources and don't need the gearing.
i did kind of the same thng execpt with a different type of turbine and it expolded and it scared the livin shit out of me good thing i was a long way away
Sorry but im in Australia and the turbine can be found in any vacuum cleaner. All you need to do is remove the motor and magnets to get rid of uneccesary friction.
hi im in college and im makeing a turbine engine / genorator and im useing the same hoover turbine there really good but i threw away the cover for the turbine and this may sound a little cheeky but have you got any more covers becouse im not aloud to test mine unstill the turbine is coverd
I am working on a way to attach it to a small go-kart using a flywheel to get starting torque because it has very little power when starting. At around 100psi and 8000Rpm I cant stop it with my fingers and gloves sqeezing as hard as i can.
Wohh thats alot of rpms!!

The air input was simply an air compressor blower fitting cable-tied to the wood.
