What you are thinking of is socialism. equality with money, taxes, government ect. I think of communism as a goal, there are different ways to achieve the goal(based on my definition).
@YawwdSM I haven't heard of any communistic/socialistic system that did not use money or government, pal. a Resource Based Economy is somewhat like communism / socialism in essence. All of these 3 would like a society in which everyone is equal, and everyone has what he/she needs. I think the zeitgeist movement would benefit IMMENSELY from not just paying attention to the ideas of the venus project, but also seeing the ideas of so called "earthships" as being equally relevant.

there's one problem with the social constructivist theory of the self. That we have becomes what we have becomes due to our social environment. If so, how then did the social environment become so greedy, competitive etc? What was its origin? Without taking into account its origin, how do you expect to steer people away from it? And greed is just one of the side products. And because we are still in the early parts of our evolutionary process we haven't grown out of it because there is still different type of scarcity. The largest issue is that people don't care cause they believe it won't affect them in their lifetime. A collective "I can't do anything about it, I'm only one perso" is what's really holding the whole movement back. Those people aren't quite knowledgable enough to realize if that same group noticed they were many, this wouldn't be an issue. Motivate the single individual to the growing group and maybe in years to come this will happen.
I guess these people haven't heard the news, fossil fuel civilization is unsustainable. These ideas are inspiring but fall short of the chaos our society will face due to the collapse of the debt based system.

@saultube44 There is no "they" means we are all one. A person from China is no different than my Canadian self. The differences that surface are due to environmental influence i.e culture that create particular views/paradigms within each "different" group. However the reality is we are all the same species, the same biological make-up, the same basic needs, and we all live on the same planet. Countries now are mere lines withheld for money sequencing.

What Peter fails to express is the concept that "right brain" thinkers (artistic, socially conscience,emotional,etc.) such as himself are more likely to be poor compared to there "left brain" (mathematical,elitists,logical etc.) counterparts. Also, the modern female is more attracted to the left brainers and therefore the right brainers are being phased out to the point where all that remains are the selfish. This has been documented in the Richard Dawkins book "The Selfish Gene".

Can youtube users show appreciation in a mature fashion on these videos. I believe this is one of the most informative videos to show people and it's a fantastic video. However, the content can speak for itself. Block capital comments being rated highest give a daunting feeling to a brand new audience. It can become harder for them to relate. Try make it easier for them rather than an outright promotion of the presented ideas.
@PlayingGilly Sorry if it comes across that way. In my experience, people have often criticised the movement and tend to overlook the content based upon those sorts of comments. I've been told a lot that the movement is flawed as the followers are following blindly or that they don't understand it. I'm not saying this is the case, but I've found that an overly enthused approach to somebody just learning about this often puts people off hearing the actual message.

I like Peter Joseph, I've learned a lot from him! He does a great job exposing Religion. However, he doesn't give you the whole truth when it comes to God, Jesus and the Bible. Jesus and the bible have nothing to do with Religion. My philosophy involves both resource based economy and capitalism (or property) for those who care for that. You simply need to stick to TRUTH. We do not live in a free-market capitalist society when you control make your competitor(s) illegal.

I love the concept and process of the venus project. I think it's beautiful, to say the least. This is the best solution I've seen to end the deeply seeded corruption, and oligarchy which have plagued humanity for SO long. The princeton mouse study needs better referencing. Authors names Blah, n, Blu, N et al (2008) or something. I am a part of this movement, but peer reviewed work needs to be cited so that people can look it up for themselves, and check the author's work isn't misinterpreted. The thing that caught my eye immediately when I watched Addendum, was the US division of dollars between actual cash, and electronic cash. I lived through an extended power outage that covered ... iono 1000's of square miles and lasted for days. N/E US yes, not long ago. 3% cash,97% electronic. When I was 14 years old I became extremely rebelious (Understatement) I saw society in a way that was foreign to everyone else. All of these 3 would like a society in which everyone is equal, and everyone has what he/she needs. Too bad only an RBE uses technology to harvest resources and utilize these to produce a sustainable abundance, in which money would no longer be relevant. Communism is: "we're equal because we all have nothing" :P

I think the zeitgeist movement would benefit IMMENSELY from not just paying attention to the ideas of the venus project, but also seeing the ideas of so called "earthships" as being equally relevant.
I believe technology will eventually give humans abundance in every way.
However I also think that currently, a good model may be to acknowledge the limitations of our current knowledge, and balance them with older wisdom of sustainability

there's one problem with the social constructivist theory of the self. That we have becomes what we have becomes due to our social environment. If so, how then did the social environment become so greedy, competitive etc? What was its origin? Without taking into account its origin, how do you expect to steer people away from it? Etiologically speaking, without knowing the cause of a disease, we can't be certain of a cure.

When people first noticed that there wasn't food for everyone they started to compete with each other for the necessities of life (of course there were other reasons but this was the greatest). And greed is just one of the side products. And because we are still in the early parts of our evolutionary process we haven't grown out of it because there is still different type of scarcity. I said different because our scarcity is somewhat artificial.

The largest issue is that people don't care cause they believe it won't affect them in their lifetime. A collective "I can't do anything about it, I'm only one perso" is what's really holding the whole movement back. Those people aren't quite knowledgable enough to realize if that same group noticed they were many, this wouldn't be an issue. Motivate the single individual to the growing group and maybe in years to come this will happen.

Some guy from the world bank recently admitted that the current situation is "marginally sub-optimal". The differences that surface are due to environmental influence i.e culture that create particular views/paradigms within each "different" group. What Peter fails to express is the concept that "right brain" thinkers (artistic, socially conscience,emotional,etc.) such as himself are more likely to be poor compared to there "left brain" (mathematical,elitists,logical etc.) counterparts. Also, the modern female is more attracted to the left brainers and therefore the right brainers are being phased out to the point where all that remains are the selfish. This has been documented in the Richard Dawkins book "The Selfish Gene".

Can youtube users show appreciation in a mature fashion on these videos. I believe this is one of the most informative videos to show people and it's a fantastic video. However, the content can speak for itself. Block capital comments being rated highest give a daunting feeling to a brand new audience. It can become harder for them to relate. Try make it easier for them rather than an outright promotion of the presented ideas.

@PlayingGilly Sorry if it comes across that way. In my experience, people have often criticised the movement and tend to overlook the content based upon those sorts of comments. I've been told a lot that the movement is flawed as the followers are following blindly or that they don't understand it. I'm not saying this is the case, but I've found that an overly enthused approach to somebody just learning about this often puts people off hearing the actual message.

I like Peter Joseph, I've learned a lot from him! He does a great job exposing Religion. However, he doesn't give you the whole truth when it comes to God, Jesus and the Bible. Jesus and the bible have nothing to do with Religion. My philosophy involves both resource based economy and capitalism (or property) for those who care for that. You simply need to stick to TRUTH. We do not live in a free-market capitalist society when you control make your competitor(s) illegal.

Simplified language can only express simplified ideas (unless you spend twice as long explaining 'what you mean') - Imagine tring to explain triangles using simplified language to avoid using complicated words like 'sides' or 'lines' - how much longer would it take? I love the concept and process of the venus project. I think it's beautiful, to say the least. This is the best solution I've seen to end the deeply seeded corruption, and oligarchy which have plagued humanity for SO long. TZM is taking personal action to restructure the future of humanity as to not cause our own destruction. It makes the task personal for every human being, which it aught to be.
TVP is the best answer we have for now. I wont work on the galactic scale. But it's good as is.

Can TZM members please refrain from using derogatory put downs. It is lowering yourself to the argument strategy of this structure. Use your logic and intelligent use of language to make your point. Language is our tool. Please use it wisely.

The zeitgeist movement needs to take over our youth, starting in our high schools & universities, we can not save most of these cave men & women who have been brainwashed on GOD, RELIGION & EDUCATION FOR THE LAST 100 YEARS, EDUCATION & BOOS THAT IS SOO OFF ALINEMENT, & ALL THE MATERIALS LERNED ARE NOTHING MORE THAN INFO. TO SERVE OUR MASTERS WHO HAVE ENSLAVED ALL OF US. FOLKS LET ALL PROMOTE THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT, PETER JOSEPH, THE VENUS PROJECT.

Free, unlimited energy for all? A Utopia? It may work in a few, privileged gated communities. Otherwise, it will always be a dog-eat-dog world out there.

@Armando2012102 That is why our refference needs to change and the public need to be able to start respecting balanced arguments with tangible reffrents instead of the warped value attributed to 'strong leadership' which really just amounts to constantly being right in an ever emergent environment. If people were bought up to question when they sniffed bullshit and had a system where your personal interest was directly tied to the resources and each other then this would limit this tendency.

The HealthyIsm book, an easy read, simplifies the non constructive controlling thoughts in our head into a mischievous folklore rascal, an IMP (inner mental program), that is running around causing destruction but nonetheless has the ability to do ‘good’. The gist of the book is to (in a calm, kind way) help people welcome what they are capable of when in higher states of consciousness.

The Zeitgeist movement attacks everything we were taught (programmed) to believe but at our core, for some of us, it intuitively feels right. this is extremely helpful and interesting, ive watched numerous videos and lectures on the zeitgeist movement and venus project. I feel like ive obtained a great deal of knowledge from these sources and i want to know what else there is i can learn from. i would love to sit down and simply talk to peter joseph or jacque fresco there knowledge is power, i know that is rather difficult so any information on what i can do to help the movement, or simply more ideas would be greatly benifited from.

The princeton mouse study needs better referencing. Authors names Blah, n, Blu, N et al (2008) or something. I am a part of this movement, but peer reviewed work needs to be cited so that people can look it up for themselves, and check the author's work isn't misinterpreted. How this message gets out there to movement movie makers (tongue twister?)

The thing that caught my eye immediately when I watched Addendum, was the US division of dollars between actual cash, and electronic cash. I lived through an extended power outage that covered ... iono 1000's of square miles and lasted for days. N/E US yes, not long ago. 3% cash,97% electronic. I lived on the 3% for a time, and if you haven't been denied access to your own (Emoney) before, all I can say, is, it was ... not an optimal situation(LOL) Fear = yes, Wide Eyes in every direction.

When I was 14 years old I became extremely rebelious (Understatement) I saw society in a way that was foreign to everyone else. I didn't understand why the world was the way it was, and I channeled my energy in the wrong ways, in other words I became another victim of the system. I just want to thank any one who supports this because it lets me now that my perception of life is not at all alien. Thank you.

Scientists who contribute to the creation of weapons and the destruction of our planet should think things over and invest their knowledge in a project like this... I only hope this project is truly designed to benefit nothing else but the planet as a whole (Example: People, animals, environment, etc.)
