There's a technique some people use called backmasking. Theres a strange sound in a song(in this case, movie) and when played backwards theres a message hidden in the noise. I think its more likely that "help us" isn't what is being said(I don't hear Help us at all, just a noise). Played backward, what people hear as "Help us" is actually "Its still alive"(I can hear that clearly). Its probably a hint that there will be a cloverfield 2.

That help us never sounded like help us in the first place, help us has two syllables, you hear it clearly, the backwards distorted audio has 4, It's still alive also has 4 syllables. Anyways analyzed on pcdj the backwards stream sounds more like hell ballistic(or something similar), which also has 4 syllables. I don't think the backwards audio was ever meant to be anything, other than it's still alive backwards. I just don't hear that "I don't want to live", not at all.

That's true it could have been the mother of all bombs, its got a more contained blast and there is no radiation, would make more sense. And that would explain the monster living. The nuke tears atoms to shreds at the center of its explosion, nothing survives that kind of blast.

It wasn't a nuke. Wiki it. It was a self contained non-radioactive bomb, a bomb that was used in many books and movies. A bomb that only uses air to detonate which actually could have let them survive as long as it only hit the monster. I still bet they are pretty hurt though. Namely the bomb has an average sized blast radius so if the monster wasn't that close it could have hit the monster. The monster and the people probably ended up surviving.

It wasn't a nuke they set of at the end, they just kept dropping bigger bombs than what they used before but I don't think it really worked because the monster was right near water and it could've gotten into the water, if it was a Nuke, Rob and Beth would have been safe under the rubble of the bridge.
