Rancid, was pretty much the Punk Band that started a whole revolution. They really brought a whole new era to music. If anything, Rancid should headline, because they probably influenced Rise Against, and a lot of other bands out there.

The Stooges and MC5 in the late 60's and early and mid 70's. Hardcore scene like Minor Threat, Black Flag, D.R.I., M.D.C., D.O.A.
