There's something archaeically divine about this collection. The music is so fitting. :D I love the sci-fi aspect, it kind of goes into the territory of macabre, yet is elegance all the same. I adore this collection...the shift and streamlined look is my favorite. I detest anything that doesn't show the structure of a woman's body, or that drowns her out. That is why I am such a Dolce & Gabbana: FW 2007-08 Collection, even though it went into the category of dominatrix. Wonderful! :D
I love the air of Givenchy in the early 1960's in this collection. His work often shows up in other designers work, such as Francisco Costa and Alber Elbaz. The first piece is a near exact replica of a sheath the character Mrs. Failenson wears (albeit with a smaller collar) in Breakfast at Tiffany's. This collection maintains the simplicity and austerity which characterizes Givenchy's designs in the 1960's, but all details have been reduced and streamlined. Elegance and functionality - fabulous.
I love Raf Simmons and what he's doing with Jil Sander. I have enjoyed every collection he's done. Yes there are things he's a little extreme about but that's fashion, and for the most part these clothes are THE solution for a woman who has a career and needs clothes that are work appropreiate but still has serious fashion credit - Jil Sander!
Ancora modelle supermagre - vedi loro la fame negli occhi...complimenti....c'e' solo da stupirsi che non stramazzino al suolo, collassate

the absence in the clothes is what gives them their presence.

Part of it (starting at 7:40) is a classical rework of Coldplay's 'Talk'.
