When I lived in the UK, I had to wait months to see a doctor. I was in pain, and I had to wait MONTHS.

Here in the USA, I get to the doctor within an hour or two.

There's no need for society to pool its wealth to establish an "insurance" racket so that a small percentage of the citizenry can secure medical treatment. Costs are prohibitively high because of red tape: licensing, record-keeping, taxes & so forth. The government has no Constitutional authority to forbid, nor to regulate, private contracts made between doctors & their patients.
